//------------------------------// // Chapter Two: Spin Off Anouncement // Story: A Displaced Monster And Machine // by Prince_Zodiac //------------------------------// {Chapter Two: Spin Off Announcement} {Gale’s POV} Time Skip Three Days Lisa and I were lying down on a picnic blanket, looking up at the sky. Or rather, she was, meanwhile I was having an internal dilemma about what to talk about. It had been about three days since the party, and now we were on our first date. I could NOT let it end with an awkward silence. “Oh hey look at that.” I looked up to the clouds to see what Lisa was talking about. Floating through the air without a care in the world, was a bird shaped cloud. “Huh, a bird shaped cloud.” “Weird how clouds can make shapes like that huh?” “Yep.” “I wonder how that happens.” “Lucky circumstance is what most would say, but I believe that something else makes it happen.” “Like a powerful being that controls the world?” “Yeah I guess so.” “So you believe in god?” I gave Lisa a straight look. “With the way the multiverse works, I think that the christian god is actually probably some displacer, or a number of displacers even. They do seem to hang around our world.” “True, true.” As we continued to watch the sky, more shapes appeared in the clouds, and we talked about each of them. Right up until one cloud made the shape of a wedding ring. Lisa looked at me. “I-It wasn’t me I swear!” “Oh really? Then how’d that happen?” “I don’t know, coincidence?” “I thought you said that things like that couldn’t be a coincidence.” “Um, Marx?” “He’s looking for my world right now remember?” “Doesn’t mean he’s not slacking off.” “You and I both know that we would have felt him if he was here. He’s got that sort of presence you know?” “Well all I know is that it wasn’t me.” “Mm hm.” Lisa turned back to the clouds as I started thinking. Okay, someone had to be fucking with me at this point. We continued to watch the clouds again until. “Okay that’s impossible.” I look to see what she meant and I agreed, that was impossible. There was a cloud that was shaped so perfectly like a pug, that someone in this world had to have made it. Lisa stood up and looked around. “I think I see our culprit.” I looked around and saw him. It was Metal, flying around making the clouds into shapes. Lisa looked at me. “What? I didn’t ask him to do that.” Lisa rolled her eyes and then walked towards the nearby hill. I walked with her and we waited until Metal landed again. He landed, admired his work, and was about to take off, but then Lisa cleared her throat. Metal turned around, and I mouthed the words ‘thank you.’ Well, as well as I could anyway. Still no mouth. “Um… hey there Lisa…” Metal gave a nervous laugh as Lisa impatiently tapped her foot. Metal sighed. “What gave it away?” “There was a cloud shaped perfectly like a pug.” Metal seemed to beam with pride a little, before Lisa glared at him and he rubbed his arm in embarrassment. “Want to explain what you were doing?” Metal looked at me and I frantically shook my head. He sighed again. “I was coming to see you guys when I saw you two spending time together and decided to make things a little more interesting.” I gave Metal a thumbs up at his quick thinking, then decided to tune out for a while. Then I heard the all too familiar sound of a portal opening and saw Marx walk out. “Oh Symbol…” Lisa looked slightly depressed so I walked up to her and gave her a hug. I then looked at Marx. “So Marx, what are you doing here this time?” “What?” “Every time you show up, shit goes down, so what’s wrong now?” Metal finished my question perfectly. Marx looked at him wide eyed and looked at the damaged portal piece that Metal apparently had. Probably should have been paying attention instead of tuning out for a quick sec but, eh. “I’m here to tell you how to fix this.” Lisa perked up at this. “What do we have to do?” Marx shook his head. “Not what you have to do, what he has to do.” He gestured to a surprised Metal. “What? Why me?” "With the places that the missing portal shards are none of us can enter because we are too well known throughout the multiverse, we'd instantly be noticed and targeted by powerful displaced. You however are new to the multiverse and you have more agility and speed than the rest of us." “So what you’re saying is that I have to aimlessly wander around the multiverse until I find all of the shards?” “I’ll give you some time to think about it.” With that, Marx disappeared into a portal, then sent Metal back home through his own. Lisa and I looked at each other and sighed at Marx’s antics. A Few Days Later Marx, Author, Lisa, the mane six, Luna, and I all stood on top of a hill to say our goodbyes to Metal before he went off on his own adventure to find the pieces of the portal to Lisa’s world. Some words were said, and Luna and Rainbow gave Metal kisses on the lips goodbye, before Metal left. Once he did, Marx sighed. “And now I have some work of my own to do.” I turned to Marx. “What do you mean?” “Well, when I was fishing for Lisa’s actual universe in the rip in space and time, I found a giant space fish named that I named Guppy. He was adorable, and super helpful. Once I got past the him eating me part of course.” Author rolled his eyes at this. “Anyways, I trained Guppy to find any universes that were trapped out in that rip. There were surprisingly a lot, but there was one problem.” “What was it?” “Hang on Gale I was just about to tell you. Well, you see… it wasn’t there.” “What do you mean it wasn’t there?” “I mean that some other displacer or something had found and took Lisa’s universe before I did.” “Who would do that?” “I don’t know. What I do know is, I need to find it.” With that, a portal opened, and Marx was gone.
