//------------------------------// // Special chapter: After the strom // Story: Paradise island // by Furious Thestral //------------------------------// Boiling Rock island. It was located in the Thestral territory, and the place where the Solar Wind made an emergency dock, because of the hurricane. the island was well known for its hot springs and healing treatments. The island was a touristy spot but most of its residents were all Thestral. The Thestrals are a pony race that are blessed with the magic of the dragons, all of them have dragon type wings, claws, fangs and fire-breathing magic, Some may achieve the grow of horns, only, from their heads, those who achieved such treat were considered high ranked warriors and offer a position in the castle, if they ever accept it. After the incident of the hurricane, the Solar Wind made an emergency dock to the port in the island. They managed to arrive without any other problem thanks to the effort of their pegasi and the assistance of the Thestrals heavy weather team. The captain of the cruise and some members of the crew were called to the town hall of the island. At their arrival the mayor of the town welcomed them and guided the group to a meeting room, where a group of five Thestrals waited them. "Greetings captain, my name is Silver Mist captain of the heavy weather team of the south sector of the Theron Kingdom" the Thestral saluted, she was a light orange mare with a, long and trimmed, gray mane. Something that the captain thought it was odd. From his experience, most of the pegasus that was a speedster normally had a short ruffled mane. "It's a pleasure, captain Silver, my name is Sonar, Captain of the Solar Wind" Sonar stretched his hoof to receive the mare's claw. He hesitated in doubt that he might get cut from the grasp, but still continued. "So, going into the matter, I was notified that three ponies are at lost from your cruise" Silver said with a calm tone and eyes towards Sonar. "Because of your fault" a stallion, from behind the captain, whispered. But in the small room everypony heard him mumble. "Care to explain, sailor" said a mare from the right side of Silver spitting the last word in displeased tone. "If it wasn't for your hurricane they would still be in the cruise and we would still be on our way to our destination" replied the stallion. "Well, if it wasn't for the fact that your captain invaded territorial waters then this incident shouldn't ever happened!" shouted back the mare, slamming her claw in the table making the other group to flinch back. "Enough! we didn't came here to see who's responsible of the incident," shouted Silver Mist glaring at her subordinate and the other pony from the cruise. "The real thing in matter is to discuss the possible location and rescue of the three missing ponies" added Silver noticing the expressions of the two calming down. "That is true" a heartwarming voice replied at the entrance of the room. the ponies turned at the door to see that princess Celestia had arrived at the location, they all suddenly bowed, along with the thestrals. "Princess, what unexpected to see you here" said the captain, feeling a pinch in his chest, guessing the reason for her appearance. "I was notified from king Aureus about the incident of the cruise and, then, the sailors notified me that three ponies had disappeared because of the storm" replied the solar princess with a soft tone but Sonar felt invisible daggers directed at his heart. "I am deeply sorry for this my princess" Sonar was afraid of what Celestia could do to him, because from his actions, two kingdom's could collide in a serious trouble and even engage in war. "There is no need for apologies. Now rise my little ponies," said Celestia to all the ones inside the room. "Captain Silver Mist, do have any suggestions on where these ponies might be?" concerned on and worried, the solar princess expected some hope in the three unicorns. Silver remained in silent, since King Aureus already ordered her to prepare a scout party to locate the three ponies. Studying the map that was hanging in the room. Silver recalled that the witnesses told her, that the three of them disappeared in a flash, and that could mean that they teleported meaning, that they could be in almost any place except for the ship itself but if she could apply the sense of survival instincts they could be lucky to be in a near island. "Our best guess, would be the Obsidian Archipelago," responded Silver, pointing a claw in the map, "from where the hurricane was formed that is a good spot to start, most likely, since it's near the hurricane aside from this island" looking at the princess she noticed a nod of agreement. "I will entrust the mission for you then," said Celestia with a smile in her face, the five Thestrals bowed their heads, accepting the princess trust. "Sweet Song notify to the ship to prepare the ship to depart as soon as we return" ordered Silver to a stallion that was with her. Giving his salute of understanding, the stallion thestral departed to complete his order. "Captain Sonar, I'll let the safety of the crew, and to continue their way to Acapulcolt" ordered Celestia to the other group of ponies. the Sonar was aback of the order since it wasn't what he expected or that he knew he would be told. "Princess if it isn't too much, we would like to help in the search as well" said Sonar wishing to redeem his mistake. Princess Celestia could see in the captain's eyes that he wanted to help in the search as well but there were better things that he needed to attend. "I know that you wish to help but you have to take care of the passengers of the cruise and continue their travel towards Acapulcolt" Celestia Gave him a small smile to remember his responsibility. Sonar remained silent and nodded to the princess, accepting his duty to keep the rest of the passengers. "What will be for the parents of the missing ones?" asked a mare from the side of the captains team, her concern made it clear that they could be sick worried for their daughters. "No need to worry, they will be accompanying me to the capital to discuss about the situation with the king," replied Celestia with a smile, to the mare, to assure her of the situation they are in, "and then the three of us will be on our way joining the search". Walking to the map she, Celestia, placed a hoof in an island of the archipelago, "as soon I clear this misunderstanding, we will be in this island" indicated Celestia. "Very well, there will be a team there to guide you to the ship and to help you in the search" replied Silver. "I thank you for your help captain Silver" replied Celestia with a reverence of her head. The other replied with a bow of respect and loyalty. The meeting finally ending the ponies made their way to complete their assignments. Celestia end the member of the Solar Wind returned to the port while the Thestrals took flight to return to their base and prepare a ship to begin the search. *** From the pier, two mares were looking at the horizon, where storm clouds still linger in the distance. One could hear the roar of the thunder and the dance of the clouds from where they were. "This should have never happened" Autumn Shimmer muttered, keeping her stoic face looking directly at the hurricane. Velvet Sparkle heard those words and decided to console her friend placing a hoof in her shoulder, "don't worry they will find them safe and sound" smiling at the mare she tried to console her. "Thank you", Autumn smiled back at Velvet. After a moment of silence Autumn Shimmer and Velvet turned around and trotted to where the royal carriage was stationed. "The princess might return from the meeting, so we should wait for her there" suggested Autumn, continuing her pace followed by Velvet. "You're right" agreed the light grey mare, smiling to her new friend. Looking at the sky wondering if her little Twilight would truly be fine. Autumn Shimmer maintained her gaze in the front thinking in the predicament that her little one is facing, but maintaining her composure, she knew that Sunset would succeed to convince the other unicorn to join her to help her, Autumn Shimmer, in the plans she made for the future.
