I leaned back and took a deep breath just as I finished my story. Rarity had a bit of a shocked look, either that or a look of total disbelief.
“Well, that was rather..uh, interesting. I can see why you and Rainbow Dash have become such good friends”
“Haha, yea, we share that thrill seeking need” I shot Dash a thumbs up that was returned with enthusiasm.
“Well, what I have here should last you a week or so, and hopefully by then you will have some money to buy your own.”
“Thank you so much, what do I owe you?”
“Oh, nothing at all darling, I couldn’t have let you go on with only one outfit, and it being that”
“Hey, what’s that supposed to mean? I like these clothes…”
“Nothing, its just that they are a bit drab, last season persey”
“Well, alright, if you say so, thank you again” I told her as me and Dash began to gather the clothing and head towards the door.
“No problem at all dear, come and visit anytime you want”
“I will, and I will also pay you back” I called as I walked out the door.
“You will try,” She laughed.
I returned a small laugh as Dash and I stepped out into the sunset. I slowed my pace as I took it in. The colours stretching across the horizon, how they faded into each other yet stood out against each other, as if competing for dominance, the sun slowly dipping down, allowing for the moon to take its place.
“It’s nice, isn’t it, do you have sunsets like this where you’re from?” Dash asked as she walked up next to me.
“Not like this” I laughed
“Well you better hurry home, if I know Pinkie Pie, your party is gonna be really soon.”
Oh shit, I completely forgot, better hurry. “Thanks for reminding me, Ill see you there, where is it gonna be?”
“Oh you’ll see it, don’t worry” She giggled and waved goodbye as she flew towards her home…. In the sky….
Why do I even let myself be surprised by stuff like this anymore?
“Sounds good, Ill see you there” I returned the wave. I got some quite time to think by myself, which was the first time I did since meeting everyone.
I still don’t even know how I got here, this cant be on earth, its impossible, yet I just walked through the woods and here I am. What is going on, ugh, why am I even stressing out, this place is amazing, but… I just cant grasp the fact that this place is real, I just… I’m overwhelmed. I’m just going to have to adjust, maybe I hit my head really hard, and it wouldn’t be the first time. It’s just, amazing.
Before I knew it I was a Fluttershy’s house. As I entered the door, Fluttershy was reaching for something on the top shelf of the kitchen cabinet. She seemed to have some difficulty.
“Here, let me help” I offered with a small smile.
“Oh, thank you so much”
“Hey, it’s the least I can do for you helping me with my arm and leg, then letting me stay in your home.”
“It’s no problem, really”
“Well I’m gonna help out, it’s the least I can do”
“Thank you so much, I really appreciate it”
“No problem at all, are you going to the party tonight?”
“Oh, yes, Pinkie Pie throws the best parties, everybody loves them”
“Well I can’t wait to experience it first hand, wanna head there together?”
“If you want to…”
“I wouldn’t suggest something I wouldn’t want to do, haha”
“Well, alright, just give me some time to get ready”
“Alright, I need to change too, these clothes are filthy”
I carried myself upstairs to my room so I could organize my new outfits and store them away. It took some time, but I eventually finished. I finally got to remove my shirt and shorts, they were covered in mud and sweat, and I was glad to be free from their bonds. I went into the bathroom to take a shower. The hot water was extremely refreshing and I almost didn’t want to get out. When I did I re-wrapped my bandages and got dressed. I slipped on a fresh pair of pants, I relished the feeling of wearing new, comfortable clothing. I pulled on a shirt, continuing the enjoyment. I was now wearing a pair of blue jeans, and an extremely smooth feeling red t-shirt and headed downstairs. Fluttershy was sitting on the couch wearing a modest yellow dress with pink trim. Everything she wore seemed to match her features to the T. She turned to me and blushed slightly.
“Do you like it?” She asked as she stood up and did a shy spin.
“You look great, how long have you been waiting?” I asked as I reached to bottom step.
“Oh, about 15 minutes” She slowly stood up and walked with me to the door.
“You could have told me to hurry up, I was taking my time because I wasn’t sure how long you would take” I followed her out. It was nighttime, and there was not a single cloud. The sky was full of beautiful stars.
“Oh, I’m sorry, its just that I didn’t want to be a bother” She slowly mumbled.
“You wouldn’t be a bother at all, don’t be afraid to ask for a favor, I’m more than happy to oblige”
“Ok, thank you”
“Not a problem. Wow, the night sure is beautiful” I took a moment to stand on the stoop and gaze out into the alluring night sky.
“Yea, its like this every night, you don’t have stars where you’re from?” She asked as she began to walk, I followed her.
“I do, its just that we have so many lights that you can only see a few, if any at all”
“That sounds awful”
It kinda is, I have to go away from society and people if I want to see anything good, and even then its not this nice”
“Well probably because they aren’t hand placed”
“Wait, what?”
“Yea, our Princess Luna hand placed these stars a long time ago, every once in a while she moves them around though”
“Well if I ever meet her, I’m going to have to compliment her on her work”
“That’s awfully nice of you”
“Well, if she takes credit for this, someone needs to give her credit for it”
“That is true”
“On another topic, you know a bit about me, yet I don’t know very much about you, can you tell me about yourself?”
“Well there isn’t much to say, I love to take care of animals, I’m not exactly the best flyer. I enjoy tea, singing with my birds, and relaxing at the spa with Rarity once a week.” She continued to list her characteristics and before we knew it, Ponyville was a few dozen yards away. I noticed a lot of sound coming from the center of town, as well as lights.
“Well, looks like we’re here”
“Yep, I can’t wait, Pinkie’s parties are the best”
“Well I can’t wait to see what’s in store”
