"Hello?" Luna called out into the pitch black room. "Funny I could have sworn that Rainbow Dash was having a nightmare." Thinking for a moment she started silent giggling to herself. "I wonder if she is afraid of the dark. The Nightmare Moon could be doubled for next nightmare night."
It was then Luna heard a soft noise comming from a little further in the room. It sounded almost like a muffled crying.
"Rainbow Dash?"
"They, I, evil, hehehe, please, go away." Rainbow whispered. It was then Luna lit her horn and discovered they were in Fluttershys cottege. Rainbow was hidding under the bed.
"Rainbow, I am here to help you." Luna cooed kneeling down so she would be closer to the petrified pegasus.
"Run, run far away while you can." Rainbow whipsered again to the princess.
"What happened? What are you so scared of?" Luna asked trying to look around the room. It was then she saw several glowing eyes comming from a corner, and one was moving to her. It was too dark to see what they where, even for her. Noticing the eyes change into more "evil" eyes, the princess froze. "Uhh, what, eyes, huh, evil?" was all she could manage before galloping to join Rainbow.
"Princess?" Rainbow squeeked in a trembling voice
"Yes?"
"Please, please, PLEASE! tell me this is just a nightmare. That those.....things........ aren't real?"
"Yes this is just a nightmare." Luna confirmed.
"Then can we go somewhere else? Please?!"
Luna lit her horn, and they moved to the Sweet apple acres and sat under a apple tree.
"Thank you. Thank you so much Princess!" Rainbow exclaimed while hugging her.
"Trust me. I am more then happy to do it." Luna wrapped her wings around the still trembling pegasis. "Now tell me what happened? Also what were those things?"
"I was watching a show with this mare Lyra, and it had those in it." Rainbow explained
"No you know exactly why you are having this dream?" Luna deadpanned, and slightly relieved that she wouldn't have to do much work
"Yes" Rainbow confirmed
"Ok then. So what are those things?"
Rainbow thought for a moment before sighing in defeat. "I don't remember what they are called."
"Do you remember the show?"
"My little......." grunting to herself that she was having such a hard time remembering.
"It is ok Rainbow, some ponies just have trouble remembering while in the dream realm." Luna tried to confort her.
"Umm Princess?" Rainbow said with her voice quivering slighty again
"Yes?" Luna was curious why the pegases was acting weird all of a sudden. It was then she turned around and saw it.
A army of those creatures were falling out of the trees. It was then Rainbow and Luna noticed, there were no actual apples. Both let out a small sqeak before galloping at full speed twards the apple celler.
"We should be safe here." Rainbow explained. She spent almost as much time at the farm the Applejack
"Ok. Also I am sorry. I am your princess, I should be able to take care of those things with a spell or something. Not running like a foal on nightmare night." Luna explained looking down, mentally beating her self.
"Don't worry about it. Were all ponies here, and lets face it. Those things are......" Rainbow trailed off. After a moment they both bursed up laughing, unfortuantly that was quickly interupted by a loud crash. They both turned around to be face to face with them.
"HOW DO THEY KEEP FINDING US!" Rainbow shouted as they both ran again, this time twards the forest.
"I have a idea."
"Yes princess?"
"Find a parasprite! That thing will get rid of them in less then 10 seconds." Luna explained only to see Rainbows eyes lit up, with a devilish smile.
After a minute of running they stumbled across a group of parasprites. "Hey guys, we need help." Rainbow told them trying to catch her breath. The group crowded around them.
"Can you get rid of those things?" Luna asked as calm as she could manage. It was then the parasprites looked at the army with wide eyes before running.
"Are you joking me!" Rainbow sqeaked again before running. "Any new ideas?"
"LUNA!"
"What was that?" Rainbow asked hearing the strange, god like voice.
"LUNA!"
"That is somepony trying to wake me." She explained
"Perfect. You wake up, then wake me up? PLEASE?!" Rainbow begged
"Normally I would try and help you, so you wouldn't have this dream again. I can make a exception right now though."
"LUNA!" The voice yelled again
"Go!" Rainbow yelled as the princess of the night vanished.
"What, what's going on?" Luna asked comming back to the wake world.
"You were acting weird. I thought something might have gone wrong. Are you ok?" Celestia askedd obviously worried about her younger sister.
"Yes, a nightmare took a unexpected turn, and I became part of it. Thank you Tia, I don't think I could have gotten out alone." Luna told her trying to make herself smaller
"It was not problem Lulu. Also don't act like that. You look like a filly trying to get out of trouble" Celestia giggled. "What got you so worked up anyways."
Luna pulled out a piece of paper and drew something on it. "I have to go help Rainbow Dash, but if you see any of these creatures, send them to the moon." Luna asserted before disapearing with a teliportation spell
Celestia looked at the peice of paper before her eyes went wide. "Oh dear Faust, the Ferbys are back."
