The Butterslice Hair Salon was one of the many places where mares could get their manes done.It was specially known for having a kind owner who listened to what her clients had to say.When Rarity went in, she found it almost empty but full of life, something similar to a whale´s call filling the background with it´s angelic noise.It was inviting and relaxing.She found the beautiful thirty-something pegasus working on the back.
"Give me just a second"
"Of course" The unicorn smiled as she sat down and picked up a fashion magazine from a pile.
Almost inmediately, the yellow mare was there, behind her. "So, What is it that you want?"
She took a deep breath "Make me a dark blue"
"Huh? D-dark blue? I.......Don´t think that´s such a good idea"
"Why?"
""Why would you.......?"
"Rarity Belle." Young mare pulled out a hoof
"Fluttershy Butterfly" The other mare shook it
"I Came all the way from Mareibu to study laws with my one true love, Rainbow Blitz." She sighed, and frowned "But now he...............He´s................................................Dumped me for an evil vampire mare." She tried her best not to cry in front of this mare she´d just met "And I know I have to be better and more for him to come back.Her mane is dark blue so I´ll be dark blue"
"Oh, Rarity, no mare should have to change for a stallion, specially one like you" Fluttershy seemed to have her sight lost on a mirror a good distance away from the both of them.
"You mean, because I´m beautiful"
"Yes.But I can also see that you´re nice.I´ve had my ups and downs with stallions and I can garantee that you shouldn´t go this far.Dark blue is not exactly your color...............................................................No offense" She sheepishly hid her face under her perfectly groomed mane.
"Thank you"
The pegasus smiled "Anything else?"
She placed some bits in the pocket of her jacket with magic "A little hooficure, if you don´t mind"
"Not at all.Just another minute"
"Of course" And back to the magazine.
Behind her, three mares had just entered the salon and seemed to be completely lost in their conversation.Rarity barely noticed them until....
"I don´t even know what I should wear!"
"Does it matter? Go, get drunk, laugh with the others, be glad you got in to one of the greatest schools, end.Don´t worry about it"
"Right, I forgot I was talking to you, Twi-Twi"
She suddenly froze Twi-Twi could be an anagramme for she turned around "TWILIGHT! HI!" She felt like she was dying, and bit her lip.
"IT´S ME! RARITY!"
"Of course.Hi there What are you doing here?"
"Just.................Getting a hooficure......." The white pony moved her whooves awkardly and turned her sight to the other two mares in front of her "...................................Hi"
"Oh! Right! These are Lyra Heartstrings"
"Hi Rarity!"
"And Twinkleshine"
"Hello!"
"Nice to meet you both Something you´re doing here?"
"Just getting our manes done for the party tonight"
"Party?"
"Yeah, tonight.Everypony in our class will be there"
"Everypony? Eve..............?"
"Yes" Twilight interrupted the blue-eyed mare "Even Blitzy"
"W............What kind of party is it?"
Twilight looked at her friends and smirked "A costume party"
"Ooh! I love those!"
"Good to know" She handed her a piece of paper with the adress on it "See you there tonight!"
As the three of them moved to the other side of the salon and back to their conversation, Rarity couldn´t help but smile.
"You heard that, Fluttershy?"
"I most certainly did." The pegasus smiled back as she started the hooficure "Would you stay after they´re gone, please? I just........"
"I will"
"Thanks"
"I swear I had it here somewhere" Fluttershy muttered as she looked through the supply closet
"What?"
"OH!" She opened the door, a pink cloth in her mouth "Herm, mah shecre weapum"
The unicorn levitated the thing out of her mouth and looked at it "What?"
"You´re gonna wear this at the party tonight.Trust me, you´ll be great"
Rarity grinned "Thank you.It´s nice that you believe in me"
Fluttershy was taken aback by the unicorn hugging her, blushe, hugged her back and admitted "Rare, if a mare like you can´t win back a stallion, then there´s no hope for the rest of us.You go, you fight for it!"
"Fluttershy Butterfly you´re a great friend!"
