After helping Luna with the groceries, and having dinner, Luna, Amethyst and I had a talk about what was going to happen.
I said, as we sat at the table, “Luna, this is Amethyst, your nanny. Is nanny good, or is there another word for it.”
Amethyst nodded, then said, “Nanny is fine.” Then she turned to Luna. “While Eric is at work or busy, I will be watching you.”
Luna nodded and said, “Ok, sorry for hypnotizing you.”
Amethyst smiled, then said, “It’s fines, I probably scared you into it. So what do you like to eat?”
I said, stopping Luna from saying anything, “She’ll eat anything, besides meat. If you ask her what she wants, she’ll probably say pizza.”
Amethyst nodded, written some notes down, then said, “What do you do for fun?”
Luna said, “Video games.”
I said, adding to what Luna said, “But she isn’t allowed to play my rated M games.”
Amethyst nodded was again, then written it down, then said, “When is her bedtime.”
I said, “I guess I never had one, but I know it’s before midnight.”
Amethyst wrote it down then said, “Luna can you excuse us, We need to talk about something privately,
Luna looked me, I smiled and nodded in encouragement. Then she walked to the bedroom. After she was gone, I turn to Amethyst and said, “Whatever you do, don’t tell her about Equestria, or I will personally make your life a living hell.”
Amethyst shrunk away, then said, “Ok, sorry, I was just going to ask some personal questions about her, like sleepy habits, that sort of thing.”
I calmed down and said, “No, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have snapped at you. It’s just, I don’t want her to learn from someone else besides me, when the time is right. She doesn’t have any sleeping problem.”
For a few minutes, Amethyst asked question and I answered. After we were done, I called Luna back in. She said, as she came in, “You done talking privately?”
I nodded and said, “Why don’t we play a game together.”
She jumped, using her hooves to jump with, then said, “What video game do you want to play?”
I chuckled and said, to her confusion, “I wasn’t thinking of a video game, I was thinking of a board game.” I walked to the boxes, and started moving them. Once the area was cleaned, and I found the box I needed, I opened the box and pulled out Monopoly. After I explained the rules to them, we picked our tokens, Amethyst was the horse, Luna was the battleship, and I was the hat. I went first, to show them how it was done.
After a few games, I checked the clock and said, as I stood up, “That was fun, Luna, it’s time for bed. Amethyst, is it okay if you take the couch, until I buy another bed?”
Amethyst nodded, as she put the game away, then said, “You don’t have to do anything for me.”
I said, as I turned around, “You could say this is me paying you for watching Luna.” Then I walked upstairs, with Luna following me to our room.
Luna got into bed, while I got into my pajamas. As I was walking to bed, I grabbed the book, I usually read to her, and laid down on the bed. After reading some pages out loud, I look at her, to see her snuggling into my arm. I set the book down and slid into the blankets, then I closed my eyes, and fell asleep.
When I woke up, I heard laughing and giggling coming from downstairs, I got out of bed and walked to the living room. When I got there, I saw Amethyst and Luna playing with each other.
When Luna saw me, she teleported in front of me and said, “Good morning dad, Amethyst already made me breakfast. Do you want to play a board game, before you go.”
I smiled and rubbed her hair. I said, as I got into the box of games, “Ok, but only one game, I have to leave an hour early for now on.” I reached in and pulled out Sorry. I told them the rules as I set up the board. When the game was done, I was first, Luna was second, and Amethyst was third, I said, as I walked upstairs to get ready, “If Amethyst wants, she can a game with you, but Luna, don’t constantly bug her to play.
When I was done, I walked downstairs to see Amethyst and Luna playing Sorry. I said, as I opened the door, “Amethyst, keep an eye on Luna, I don’t want to come to my house on fire.”
I got into my car, and I saw something out the of my eye. I turned to where I seen it, but nothing where was there. I told myself that it was my imagination, but it was still bugging me.
