//------------------------------// // An Idea Born in the Toilet of my Brain (a.k.a the beginning of Countess Dracushy) // Story: Dracushy // by W9001PILLSHERE //------------------------------// It was a good night for Fluttershy. At least, it was at first. The Cutie Mark Crusaders were staying the night at her cottage. They seemed like they were harmless fillies that were just a little eager for something natural. Nothing unusual. However, unbeknownst to them earlier that day, Something would happen that night at the cottage that would almost destroy Equstria... The time? Night. The day? Night of the sleepover at Fluttershy's. And so the story begins... Fluttershy: How about I sing you a lullaby? CMC: Alright. OK. Fluttershy began singing her lullaby as a creature no bigger than a ladybug landed on her flank. Being so small, the creature rested on Fluttershy undetected. Then the fun began, to everyone whose seen the episode. Sweetie Belle started belting out her extremely loud and incredibly close lullaby. This sudden spike in volume caused the small creature to react, instinctively biting Fluttershy's flank. Distracted by the pure ear obliteration that was Sweetie Belle's lullaby, Fluttershy didn't notice the insect at all, which after biting her, flew out the nearby opened window. In fact, she didn't notice until the day after the day after the sleepover. She went to the doctor to have it checked out. Doctor: Well, can't say I've seen it before. I assume based on symptoms of other lumps such as this one, that it will disappear by the end of the month. If it gets bigger or smaller, come back here right away. Now, I'd like to see you back here on, let's say... June nineteenth, one month's time. I'll examine it and see if anything happens, whether or not it's gone, the whole shebang. Just call if something happens. Fluttershy: Okay, thank you doctor. However, the doctor could not have been more wrong. By the end of the week, the lump had tripled in size, so Fluttershy went back to the doctor. Doctor: This is unreal. I'm getting a little worried. I'll contact a specialist that I met at a party once. He's in Canterlot. If he can't figure this out, then we'll just have to wait to see what happens. Fluttershy: Oh, okay. Thanks again. Once again, another week went by and the lump got bigger still. So, Fluttershy went to see the specialist. After several tests... Specialist: Well... I don't know. This thing is almost self aware. Fluttershy: What do you mean? And why self aware? Specialist: The test variables were all over the place. One test, it was just under one, and the next maybe over 9,000. We'll just have to wait and see. Fluttershy: Oh. Okay. Thanks anyway. Fluttershy returned home with a heavy heart. She couldn't fully grasp the possibilities. Fluttershy:What if I get sick? Will I get better? What if it goes away? I hope it goes away. But maybe... No. That won't happen. That can't happen! Who will take care of my animals? The next week, The lump mysteriously disappeared. Fluttershy was so relieved. She thought it was over. She thought she would be fine. She thought wrong. She went through the next week normally. Then, the changes. She started going to bed earlier and got up later. Eventually, her schedule was reversed. After consulting with Twilight, she thought it was just some stress side effects. She just dealt with it. A week later, she started getting strange cravings. After repeating to Twilight that she had never done it, Twilight assumed it was something because of the lump, and told her just try to deal with it. A week later, all of the other changes happened. Her eyes turned a bright green, her ears grew very large and straight up. Eventually, she never showed herself in broad daylight. She just stayed indoors and came out only at night, being seen by only other night ponies, who were just unable to sleep or preferred Ponyville's nightlife. Then, the final change occurred June nineteenth, one month after she noticed the bite. She woke up at eleven thirty, a half hour before June twentieth. She turned on her cottage lights, much to the displeasure of some of her animals. She went over to the mirror to see what changes might have occurred. She was interested to see the results. Her hoof tips had become a light orange color, slowly transitioning to a darker purple at the top of her leg. Her eyes were completely green now, with pitch black pupils. Her hair had grown in an irregular pattern, covering one eye. She examined herself for a few moments, before saying in a new, darker voice: V(vampire) Fluttershy: Well well well. I've become a whole new pony. This is interesting. I think I'll go pay my friends a visit. A very long, unexpected visit. She started giggling, then slowly the giggle turned into outright hysteric laughter. Then she flung open her door, spread her new, membrane covered wings, and flew off into the night.
