"David! Come downstairs and help me with these Chrismas decorations!" Sheryn shouted.

"Coming hun!" David said as he thought to himself, 'The good ol Sheryn, always wanted to scream at the top of her lungs just to get me to do something, just a perfect wife everybody needs.' He chuckles.

"Now then, where is it?" David said as he quickly searches around his box. David noticed something at the corner of the box, it was a My Little Pony doll from his sister when she was little, he kept it as a memory after a car accident that took his little sister's life. He immediately scratches that thought out of his mind and think to himself, 'This is the most 'cliché' thing I could have ever thought of'.
His mind was interrupted by the voice of his wife again, he then chuckles and walk downstairs with a doll in his hand. He walked into the kitchen to be greeted by his lovely wife and 2 of his kids, Miranda and David Jr.

"Now why don't you stop goofing around in the kitchen and give your dad the biggest bear hug you've ever given!" He said and then quickly being tackled by his kids.
One of them spoke up,"Dad, what are you gonna get for us tomorrow?".
The other follows up as well,"Yeah! What are you gonna buy us for Christmas, daddy?".
David changes to his best Santa Clause impression, "Ho ho ho, I can't tell you what's the present, but I can guarantee the presents will be the most awesome thing you've ever seen!" as he slowly puts the doll away from Miranda's view, but it was too late.
"Dad, what's that behind your hand?", she said as her head was tilted to try and figure out what was in David's hand.
David quickly changes the subject, "Oh I forgot, I was suppose to be helping your mother with the decoration of the tree, you two want to join me?".
The two kids looked at each other for a split second and turn back to David and gave him multiple nods. David smiles and took his kids to the living room where the tree was placed. He then took the box filled with decoration and sets them on the floor for his kids to choose which one is a perfect fit for the tree.
"I want this one, and this one, this one also!" David chuckles and thought to himself , 'Just like a typical kid in a candy store'.
David stood up and clapped his hands together, "Alright, are you two done picking everything you like?". The three shared a laugh and the two gave him a nod, "Then let the decorations, begins!".
2 hours later....
"Phew! That was the longest thing I've ever done in this house!", David Jr said as he swept the last sweat on his forehead.
"Are you two tired?", David said and the kids answered with a simple nod, "Why don't we go to the kitchen and see what's mom cooking tonight, sounds good?"
"To the kitchen!" the three said in a unison.
"Woman! Where's my sandwich?", David said in a voice from one of the show he has been watching.
"Dave, you know you can't make me do anything with that voice, right?", David leans in and gave Sheryn a kiss
"Of course I can't tell you to do anything with that voice, I just like that line for some reasons.", Sheryn responded with a peck on the cheek and said, "That's why I married you for a reason, hun."
"So, are you gonna make me a sandwich now?", David said as he laughs, the only thing Sheryn did was punching him in the right shoulder.
"Sorry, sorry! I can't help it!", David tries to catch his breath, but the only thing he could do was laugh harder, Sheryn, David Jr. and Miranda joins the laugh afterwards.
After dinner, the family talked to each other about what they should do for Christmas tomorrow, all of them contributed ideas but the only one who hasn't spoke a single word was David. "So David, what do you want to do tomorrow?" Sheryn asked just to see her husband was deep into thoughts.
She shook him gently and the only thing came out of his mouth was, "What?". The three looked at David with a questioning look, Sheryn spoke up from the awkward silence, "Are you okay David? You were thinking of something."
David quickly answered, "It was nothing, I was just thinking of something....horrible.", he said it in a tone that the others don't wanna hear.
Sheryn grabbed his hand, "Don't worry Dave, those are just thoughts that could never happen in reality.", Sheryn said in a calm voice, "If you want to talk about it, you know who to talk to.", David gave Sheryn a nod before grabbing all of the dishes and put them into the sink.
David said to the kids, "Now then, you two get dress up and go to bed, you don't want Santa Clause to give you coal this year, don't you?". The two rapidly shakes their head in disapproval way. The three shared a good laugh before David Jr. and Miranda ran up stairs.
Sheryn said as she was washing the dishes, "Honey, why don't you go to bed, I'll meet you up there, gotta finish cleaning these dishes.". David gave her a nod and said, "I'll see you up there, and when you're done, you're gonna have to read me a bed time story!". He said it in the childish way possible. Sheryn chuckles and gave David a passionate kiss before going up stairs.
David knew something wasn't right, he always do.
