On the way to work, I worried about Luna and what she would do today. When I got to my work, the theater, My boss said, as I walked in, “About time you showed up, thought you were going to be late.”
I just grunted as I walked past him. He grabbed my shoulder, turned me around, and said, “Why do I put up with you, Eric?”
Guess I forgot to mention my name is Eric. I shrugged his hand off of my shoulder and said, jokingly “Cause I’m the only that puts up with your place.”
He smiled and said, “Well, you better get to work, the first movie ends in 10 minutes. Besides you always look like you don’t get enough sleep. I’m afraid you are going to fall asleep on the job.”
As I walked away, I grabbed the cleaning supply, and said, “Now, how many times have I ever fallen asleep.”
He muttered something I didn’t hear. My job is to clean after the movies. I sat down outside the movie, took out my mp3 and listened to it. I got through a few songs, until I saw people coming out. I put away my mp3, grabbed the cleaning supplies, and walked in. It took a bit more than 10 minutes to clean it. That went on for hours, when I looked at the time, it was 6:58 p.m. I put the supplies away, checked out, and walked to my car.
I got home at 7:27, when I walked through the door, I was greeted by Luna. I smiled and picked her up. We went into the kitchen. I placed Luna in a seat, grabbed and opened a can of peaches, poured out the liquid, placed in a bowl, and set it in front of her. She picked a peach, looked at it, and took a bite. Her eyes lit up, she, devoured the peach slice, she grabbed another one and devoured that one as well. When I got to her, a fourth of the bowl was gone, I placed a hand on her shoulder, she stopped and looked at me. I said, in a calming tone, “Now, don’t eat them too fast. She nodded, then continued eating the peaches, slower.
After she was done, I picked her up and carried to my bed. I placed her in bed, got into my pajamas, and climbed into bed. I pulled her closed, she snuggled into my chest and fell asleep, but I stayed awake, thinking about the future. Is she going to ask about her past, is she going to find out, is she going to have to go back to equestria, is she going to be able to control the moon, and so many other questions, but then I realized I know none of the answer. The only way to find out is to wait. I pulled her closer and fell asleep.
