	Fluttershy just lay there. In that pristine, white bed..

Trotting through Ponyville as usual, Fluttershy had noticed that she felt lighter than normal. She guessed she had been losing weight. Fluttershy headed towards Sugar Cube Corner to visit her Pinkie Pony Pal, Pinkie Pie. She entered the sweets shop and instantly noticed something off about the place. Pinkie Pie was nowhere to be seen. So she decided to speak with Mrs. Cake. 
"Um...Do you know where Pinkie is?" Fluttershy asked.
Mrs. Cake didn't give words or sentences as a reply. Only a smile. But not a nice pony smile. It was a meanie, dragon-toothed smile. Fluttershy just bowed her head and backing out the door. After she escaped the horrifying Sugar Cube Corner experience. She shut the door to the confectionery store and ran away from it.
Fluttershy cantered over to Sweet Apple Acres. She looked for Applejack. But she didn't find Applejack. She actually didn't find any members of the Apple Family. She searched the entire farm, only to find no pony except for an ominous ghost unicorn pony. She was getting scared. She quickly left the farm as it began to darken as the chilling night approached.
The moon had risen by the time Fluttershy had reached the Boutique. She didn't find Rarity. She only found Sweetie Belle with her face in the corner of the room. 
"Sweetie, where is Rarity? Do you know where she is?" Fluttershy asked Sweetie Belle as she sat in time out.
Sweetie Belle didn't respond. She turned quickly to face Fluttershy. Fluttershy screamed in fear. Sweetie Belle had no face. A mane was all that sat upon her head. Fluttershy ran screaming from the Boutique. She flew towards Rainbow Dash's home. 
"Rainbow Dash!" Fluttershy screamed as she burst into Rainbow's home. A response was heard. To Fluttershy's relief, it was a response given by Rainbow Dash. Rainbow ran over to Fluttershy and embraced her in a hug. Fluttershy felt safe when she was in the arms of her friend. She cried against Rainbow Dash's chest. She was safe at last. Rainbow Dash would protect her. Fluttershy broke the hug and backed up to see her friend. Rainbow Dash was truly a sight for sore eyes. But something wasn't right. 
It was Rainbow's tail. And her mane. There was almost red. But not quite. The phony red was a hue of hot pink. Rainbow Dash doesn't have pink in her mane or in her tail. The cheerful smile left Fluttershy's face and was replaced with a face of utter horror. She ran for the door. she smashed through the cloud door and flew as fast as she could towards Twilight Sparkle's castle. In the distance behind her, she could hear Rainbow Dash scream her name into the cold, wintery night. 
She ran through the castle. Past the six thrones sitting around the map. Into Twilight Sparkle's bedroom. She saw the shape of the Alicorn princess laying idly in the bed. Fluttershy tore the blankets off the bed, hoping to find Twilight Sparkle sleeping. But she was disapointed as she found it empty. She turned to find the ghost pony that followed her through Sweet Apple Acres.  Twilight Sparkle must have been the ghost pony. She had been staring her right in the eyes. Twilight was smiling an unnaturally wide smile. It made Fluttershy sad. The smile looked so like it hurt because it was so wide. Fluttershy heard her name quietly being shouted in the halls of the castle. Twilight aimed her horn at Fluttershy like a weapon. Fluttershy saw Rainbow Dash standing in the doorway to the room. She looked horrified, standing there in the doorway. Twilight fired a magical beam straight through Fluttershy's chest. As Fluttershy fell, she saw Rainbow Dash run over to her crumpled body. 
"Fluttershy, no!" Rainbow yelled. Rainbow Dash began to cry. Fluttershy took one last look at Rainbow's mane. There was no pink. It was red. Fluttershy bled on the floor. She smiled. She was happy that the last thing she would see was Rainbow Dash.


"Will she be alright?" Rainbow Dash asked. "I don't think will make it, Ms. Dash. I'm sorry for your loss." Nurse Red Heart replied.
Fluttershy awoke when she was able to hear the heartbeat monitor standing next to her. "Wait," Rainbow said "I see her eyes. She's okay!" 
Rainbow Dash began to cry as her friend sat up in the pristine, white, hospital bed. Fluttershy got up, despite Nurse Red Heart telling her to take it easy, and ran straight to Rainbow Dash. She couldn't help herself. She hugged Rainbow and cried into the mare's chest. Fluttershy discovered that she loved Rainbow. "You saved me, Rainbow." Fluttershy said. "I did wha-" Fluttershy interrupted her with a kiss. She was going to be okay. Fluttershy felt safe in her friend's arms. The nightmare was finally over.
