Hyrule Castle

At Charming Thunder's house, he packed up everything he needed for his journey in his saddle bag and placed it on his back. He then walked out of the house and climbed down as he made his way to the pathway out of the forest. He sees a raspberry maned filly next to the pathway with two other fillies. She noticed the young unicorn with his fairy about to walk passed her. "Please tell me its not true," she said. "Tell me that you're not leaving the forest."

"Please tell us," the blonde mane pony demanded.

"Girls, please don't provoke him," the light green maned filly said.

Charming Thunder looked down with guilt and looked back at the filly and replied, "I'm sorry, Roseluck. Daisy. Lily. It's true. The Deku Tree told me with his dying breath that I must leave to save Hyrule. Surely you would all understand." Roseluck, Daisy, and Lily then fainted to the grass and wept after hearing the news.

"This is awful!!" Daisy shouted.

"The horror!" Roseluck shouted. "The horror!" Charming Thunder approached them and lifted Roseluck's chin to his eye level as the other two looked at him.

"Don't worry, girls. I'll still come to visit when I get a chance or if I burn my shield."

"You promise?" the fillies asked.

"I promise. Cross my heart and hope to die." The three fillies then got up and jumped to hug Charming Thunder.

"Please tell us about your journey when you return."

"I will."

"Hate to interrupt your goodbyes, Charming, but we need to get moving," Cadence said.

"We'll miss you, Charming," Lily said.

"Even I will miss my home." Charming Thunder and Cadence then made their way through the path to exit the forest. When they arrived at the bridge, he sees Carrot Top standing at the bridge behind him.

"Oh, you're leaving?" Carrot Top asked. Charming Thunder turned to face his best friend with courage in his heart.

"I am, Carrot. Sorry for not telling you sooner."

"I knew that you would leave the forest someday, Charming. Because you are different from me and my friends. But that's OK, because we'll be friends forever...won't we?"

"Of course, Carrot. We'll be friends forever. There is nothing that can change that."

"That's good. I want you to have this ocarina. Please take good care of it." Carrot Top hands Charming Thunder her ocarina as a departing gift to him for his journey. He puts it away in his saddle bag and embraces a hug from her. "When you play my Ocarina, I hope you will think of me and come back to the forest to visit." The two released the hug and Charming Thunder wiped a tear from his eye. He then took a step back still looking at Carrot Top and then began to depart from the Kokiri Forest.

Outside, Charming Thunder stood in front of the entrance to the forest as he ventured forth to Hyrule Castle. He was stopped when he heard a voice calling to him saying, "Hoo hoot!"

"Who's there?" Charming Thunder asked as he looked around.

"Charming, look up here." Charming Thunder looked up to see an owl perching on a branch of a tree looking at him. "I am Kaepore Gaebora. It is a pleasure to meet you at last. It appears that the time has finally come for you to start your adventure! You will encounter many hardships ahead. That is your fate. Don't feel discouraged, even during the toughest times!" Kaepora then used his left wing to point to the direction where Charming Thunder needs to go. "Go straight this way and you will see Hyrule Castle. You will meet a princess there."

"Thank you, Kaepora. If I need any more information, I know who to call."

"All right then, I'll see you around! Hoot hoot hoot ho!" Kaepora Gaebora spreads his wings and began to fly away from Charming Thunder and Cadence. They then trotted on the pathway towards the castle and sees that the drawbridge is open for them. After they crossed it, they then arrived to the town of Hyrule. He was amazed at what he is seeing in the town. The place was crowded with tons of earth ponies, unicorns, and pegasus.

"This place is huge," Charming Thunder said.

"The castle is this way," Cadence said. "I can see it from here." Charming Thunder nodded and walked past the crowd to the road that leads to the castle. He peeked around a corner and sees a guard at the gate.

"Well I can't just go up to him and ask him politely to let me in. Unless..." Charming Thunder turned to see a wall of vines he can climb on. He then climbed up the vines which lead to the top of the cliff that leads past the gate. He sneaks past the guards along the way to the castle until he came across a moat. He sees a hole at the ledge which may lead to the castle. He timed his jump as Cadence followed and made it to the ledge. He the crawled under the hole and entered the castle.

---------------------

Arriving at the castle courtyard after getting past the guards, Charming Thunder sees a violet alicorn filly with a moderate sapphire blue and violet mane and tail with pink streaks looking through a window. He slowly approached her at the top of the stairs as she gazed through the window. The alicorn then turned to come face to face with the red unicorn a little surprised. "Who?!" she said. "Who are you? How did you get past the guards?"

Charming Thunder blushed a little and replied, "Well that's a long story. You see--" Cadence bops him on the head in order to keep his mouth shut. "Ow!"

"Oh? What's that? Is that...a fairy?! Then, are you from the forest? Then you wouldn't happen to have the Spiritual Stone of the Forest, would you? Its a green shiny stone. Do you have it?"

"Oh, you mean this?" Charming Thunder took out the stone that the Deku Tree gave him before he embarked on his journey.

"Just as I thought!" The alicorn stepped up to him a little closer stepping away from the window as Charming Thunder blushed slightly. "You see, I had a dream. In my dream, dark storm clouds were billowing over the land of Hyrule. But suddenly, a ray of light shot out of the forest, parted the clouds and lit up the ground. The light turned into a figure holding a green and shining stone, followed by a fairy. I know this is a prophecy that somepony would come from the forest. Yes, I thought you might be the one." Her eyes widened as she gasped. "Oh, I'm sorry! I got carried away with my story and I didn't even properly introduce myself! I am Twilight, princess of Hyrule. What is your name?"

"I am Charming Thunder and this is my companion Cadence the Fairy."

"Pleasure to meet you, your highness," Cadence said.

"Charming Thunder. Strange it sounds somehow....familiar." Twilight then smiled at Charming Thunder. "OK then, Charming. I'm going to tell you the secret of the Sacred Realm that has been passed down by the Royal Family of Hyrule. Please keep this a secret from everyone."

"You have my word, princess."

"The legend goes like this; The three goddesses hid the Triforce containing the power of the gods somewhere in Hyrule. The power to grant the wish of the one who holds the Triforce in his hands. If someone with a righteous heart makes a wish, it will lead Hyrule to a golden age of prosperity. If someone with an evil mind has his wish granted, the world will be consumed by evil. That is what has been told. So, the ancient Sages built the Temple of Time to protect the Triforce from evil ones."

"You mean that the temple is...."

"That's right. The Temple of Time is the entrance through which you can enter the Sacred Realm from our world. But the entrance is sealed with a stone wall called the Door of Time. And, in order to open the door, it is said that you need to collect three Spiritual Stones. And another thing you need...is the treasure that the Royal Family keeps along with this legend... The Ocarina of Time."

"I get it now, but why are you at that window over there?"

"I was spying through this window just now. The other element from my dream...the dark clouds... I believe they symbolize...that centaur in there! Will you look through the window at him?" Charming Thunder nodded and peeped through the window next to Twilight. He sees a centaur walking and then kneeling to someone in the room. "Can you see the centaur with the evil eyes? That is Tirek, the leader of the Gerudos. They hail from the desert far to the west. Though he swears allegiance to my father, I am sure he is not sincere. The dark clouds that covered Hyrule in my dream. They must symbolize that being." Tirek turns his to the window as Charming Thunder ducks to hide himself from sight. "What happened? Did he see you?"

"I think so. He was responsible for the Great Deku Tree's death."

"Don't worry. He doesn't have any idea what we're planning...yet."

"Surely your father must know about that dream. Did you--"

"Yes. I told my father about my dream. However, he didn't believe it was a prophecy. But I can sense that centaur's evil intentions. What Tirek is after must be nothing less than the Triforce of the Sacred Realm. He must have come to Hyrule to obtain it! And, he wants to conquer Hyrule...no, the entire world! Charming, now, we are the only ones who can protect Hyrule! Please!"

"That is why I'm here. To save Hyrule as the Deku Tree said." Twilight suddenly hugged Charming Thunder.

"Thank you! I am afraid. I have a feeling that centaur is going to destroy Hyrule. He has such terrifying power! But it's fortunate that you have come. We must no let Tirek get the Triforce! I will protect the Ocarina of Time with all my power! He shall not have it! You go find the other two Spiritual Stones! Let's get the Triforce before he does, and then defeat him."

"You can count on me and Cadence, your highness."

"One more thing, take this letter." Twilight used her unicorn magic to write a letter on a piece of paper then wrapped it up like a scroll. "I'm sure it will be helpful to you." Charming Thunder was about to reach for the scroll, but Twilight stopped him for one thing. "You don't know how to use magic, do you?"

"Some Kokiris back home are unicorns and they didn't learn any magic."

"That's terrible! Here take my hoof." Charming Thunder slowly placed his hoof on Twilight's and she used her magic to share with him her knowledge of magic and taught him spells. "There. Try doing a teleportation spell." Charming Thunder closed his eyes as his horn glowed and he teleported to the bottom of the staircase. He was amazed that he can now use spells as Twilight approached him. "That was perfect! Now here." Twilight shows him the scroll and he levitated it with his magic and puts it away in his bag. "Good luck, Charming. I am counting on you." Twilight then kissed him on the cheek which made him blush once again.

"So I should see myself out? What about the guards?"

"Don't worry. My attendant will guide you out of the castle. Don't be afraid to talk to her." Charming Thunder turned to see the same alicorn he saw in his dream.

Charming Thunder and Cadence approached her as she greeted herself, "I am Luna of the Sheikahs. I am responsible for protecting Princess Twilight Sparkle. Everything is exactly as the princess foretold. You are a courageous little colt. You are heading out on a big, new adventure, aren't you? My role in the Princess's dream was to teach a melody to the one from the forest. This is an ancient melody passed down by the Royal Family. I have played this song for Princess Zelda as a lullaby ever since she was a baby. There is mysterious power in these notes. Now listen carefully..." Luna started to hum a tune as Charming Thunder levitated out his ocarina and played along with the tune as he learned Twilight's Lullaby. "Come. If the castle soldiers find you, there will be trouble. Let me lead you out of the castle."
