The Legend of the Light Kingdom

A Way to Battle the Darkness

At the beginning, there was nothing. It was all a complete void. In the middle of this void, there was a being whose magic nullified itself due to being the perfect harmony between light and darkness.

Tired of all the emptiness around him, the creature decided it was time to change all that. He freed all his magic, enveloping it around him, and it just exploded, filling the void at a breakneck speed, having the creature as its own center. The filling of the void was abrupt and chaotic. It was complete chaos. For that reason, the center of the universe took a shard of light and molded it to form a maker entity that tried to organize all the chaos from the creation to create order and harmony. For that reason, the maker entity became known as the Lord of Order.

Later, the Center took a piece of darkness and molded it, forming a destructive entity designed to destroy what the maker entity had built, with this one creating chaos and disharmony, so his brother could build again. For that reason, he became known as the Lord of Chaos.

The two then continued their work as creator and destroyer, with one creating, the other destroying and the first creating again. Because they were trapped in a vicious cycle, the pace of the creation didn’t follow the expansion of the universe.

One day, the Lord of Order came to a empty world and decided to harmonize it. Using his magic, he created the sky and the earth, the day and the night, the sun and the moon, the oceans and the continents, as well as the seas and the rivers and only then allowed the existence of life, animal and vegetable. When he was satisfied with his work, that world was dominated by various forms of life, and those who ruled it were the ponies, all of various types: earth ponies, unicorns and pegasus. They all lived in peace.

But as always happens, peace never lasts forever. Like a fly attracted for the fruit, the Lord of Chaos came to that luminous world and was shocked to see how the light had taken that world. Seeing it would take a lot of time to destroy all that creation, he decided that the best thing to do was making the inhabitants destroy themselves.

Therefore, he tried to use his amazing powers of persuasion and manipulation in the ponies, but his brother managed to capture the darkness he inserted in the world and lock it in a box that the Lord of Order gave to a filly of pure heart, ordering her to never open it. Seeing he would never be able to accomplish what he wanted without freeing the darkness inside the box, the Lord of Chaos seduced the filly and made her open the box, releasing part of the darkness inside, and, with it, he managed to create divisions between the three tribes of ponies.

Seeing what his brother was trying to do, the Lord of Order decided not to let him destroy his latest perfect creation and managed to avoid the war, but was unable to end the mistrust between the three tribes. The mistrust created grew in size and intensity and attracted the Wendigos. The situation was worsening and worsening and the Lord of Order didn’t know what to do.

The Lord of Order was sitting on his throne, musing on everything that was going on in his perfect creation, like the way his brother was able to change the course of things. He had to do something to be able to turn the game in his favor, for the sake of his creation.

He couldn't let ponies continuing with their conflicts, it was too dangerous. Although they were of different kinds, they continued to be ponies. They were letting their differences interfere with the friendship that could be born among them and that was destroying their own home, increasing also the power of the evil creatures created by the Lord of Chaos.

It was then that he realized there was a way to release his creations from the influence of his brother and master of darkness, though it was too risky. He opened his hand and invoked the source of all magic in that world: the original star seed. It was time to use its light, but he had to choose the perfect way to use it, or else his plan could fail.

He snapped his fingers and one of his mirrors came to him and the Lord of Order started to use it to observe the situation. The only thing he could see was snow and ice created by the Wendigos that was created by the distrust and enmity between the kinds of ponies. Suddenly, he faced with something that interested him very much. It was a group of unicorn nomads who were trying to find a place to settle down, but the Lord of Order was more focused on their leader.

She was a young unicorn quite pretty, but her beauty was not only in the outside, but also in the inside. Her name was Aurora. The Lord of Order could feel her kindness and generosity, seeing the way she encouraged her people to continue and even how she helped the weakest, such as children and the elderly. She was intelligent, fair and a natural leader.

Seeing how the young unicorn was with her companions, the Lord of Order wondered if that goodness extended to other kinds of ponies. His suspicions were confirmed when he saw Aurora giving a little of their already limited food to a poor family of the earth ponies, managing to touch their hearts.

Impressed with that act, the Lord of Order wondered if that could be the answer to his dilemma. He approached the original star seed of Aurora’s image on the mirror and saw that it began to shine more intensely, probably feeling the purity of heart.

The Lord of the Order realized that Aurora was his only chance to be able to change the balance of power in his favor.
