The sun rose in the small city of Fillydelphia. Sugar Belle was awoken by Night Glider who rolled off the bed and fell onto the floor. To her surprise, Night was still sleeping.

'What a heavy sleeper.' Sugar thought.

Sugar got out of her bed and went into the bathroom to shower. The nice cool water felt good on her coat. After two minutes, she exited the shower and looked in the mirror. Her eyes widened in horror. Night Glider was standing right there behind her this whole time.

"GAH!" Sugar screamed as she turned to face Night.

"What?"

"How long have you been there?"

"I had to use the bathroom." Night explained. "You left the door wide open, so I just came in and used it."

"Well, um..." Sugar tried to form words but her mouth was gaping in shock as she made strange noises.

"Look," Night started as she washed her hooves. "Do you really think I'd be in here to just, I don't know, stare at you while you showered? I'm not that weird, Sugar, you know that."

". . ." Sugar said nothing.

"Look, forget it even happend."

"Okay..."

Night picked up a brush.

"Here, let me help you." she added, brushing Sugar's mane.

Sugar never had her mane brushed by anyone else before. Well, except her mother, but no one else ever. It felt nice to have it done for you. She was surprised to see how much of a good job Night did. It was as if Night knew exactly how she wanted it. She smiled as Night finished the brushing.

"Well, how's that?" Night asked the newly brushed mare.

"I love it." Sugar turned around and smiled.

The two of them cleaned up the bathroom and headed downstairs for breakfast.

"Excuse me, ma'am." The service-stallion began. "What would you like this morning?"

At the same time, both Night Glider and Sugar Belle said: "Pancakes, please."

"Alright, I'll be right back with your food." He then headed off to the kitchen and told the chef their order.

Night and Sugar looked at each other awkwardly.

"GET OUT OF MY HEAD!" Night yelled, paranoid.

This made the rest of the cafeteria look at them. They stared at Night as if she was some maniac. Just as they started to stare, they went back to eating.

"Really Night?" The annoyed Sugar Belle asked.

"Sorry, I thought you were reading my mind."

Their food had arrived and they chowed down.

Night laughed. "I think you'd have some competition if the chef who made this was in the bake off."

Sugar looked at her and frowned.

"I'm just joking with you." Apologized Night as she quivered her lip sadly.

"I know, it was a fake frown." Sugar evilly grinned. "It's just payback for all the jokes you've been making.

---------------------

It was almost noon and they walked down the other side of Fillydelphia. It was a little more rundown then the side they started on. Sugar started to look nervous, fearing that anyone could pop out of the alleyways. Passing the next alleyway, a stallion with a hood covering his face jumped out.

"Give me your money, little lady." He said approaching the two.

"And what if we don't?" Night butted in.

"Then I'll take it by force."

This angered Night, there was no way she was going to have a bad time because of a stupid mugger. She walked up to him and kicked him in the face. He fell down and tried to get up in time to run away, but Night stood above him.

"Get out of here before I do any real damage, bitch." Night said, letting the mugger go.

He ran off crying.

Sugar was frozen from the fearful display. She finally snapped out of it and spoke. "Thank you, Night." She then hugged her friend and hero.

--------------------------

After shopping some more, the two went back to the hotel to grab their stuff. They went into their room and packed. It was almost six o'clock, and the two needed to make the next train in five minutes!

"We're not gonna make it!" Sugar exclaimed as she finished packing.

"I got a plan."

They headed downstairs and checked out of the hotel. Before they got into the street, Night grabbed onto Sugar and took off into the sky. This made Sugar start freaking out.

"Come on, this is the only way that we'll make it!" Night yelled to her against the winds.

They landed at the station as the train arrived. The two ran on and sat in their seats.

"Well, how was it like being in the sky?" Night asked.

"That was not as scary as I thought." Sugar replied, sitting back in her seat.

"Next stop, Manehatten." The conductor announced to the passengers.
