//------------------------------// // yep, were doomed // Story: Purple Tears 2 // by Doukzor //------------------------------// "String Play!" a purple alicorn galloped after String Play. He hadn`t been aware of her coming, until he heard the familiar voice. She was coming closer. "Wait, is that Twilight?!" Chica smiled. String Play glanced around. "Y-yeah it is, we need to get out of-" String play was cut off. Twilight had stopped right in front of him, her tail wagging a bit like a dog. String Play stepped back, still glancing around. Twilight kept a smile on her face all the while. "Is it you? String Play?" she asked quickly, seemingly impatient for an answer. String Play only eyed her in return, which sent a shiver up her spine. Chica decided to step forth. "Yes, it`s us!" she smiled, but Twilight was only studying her. "Right, it`s us as in Cake Flower and Cocoa Song" she replied flatly. Twilight made an 'oh' sound with her mouth. She lifted a hoof to String Play. "And this is String Play?" Twilight mouthed out. Chica nodded. String Play felt a tight hug around his neck. Chica and Freddy`s ears went back, as the stallion in front growled. "Get off of me" he pushed Twilight away, whom stumbled before standing up straight. "W-what`s wrong?" she asked, as she came closer again, but kept her distance. String Play didn`t answer, but the three began to walk past Twilight. She stepped in front of String Play, eying him. "What`s gotten into you?!" she argued. String Play walked ahead, putting his hoof up and shoving her backwards. "Stay out of my way" he said in a monotone voice, before disappearing beneath the crowd of ponies around them. Twilight was on her hooves, staring at where they vanished. She laid there for a while afterwards, too. "Oi, ye`ve been gone a while!" Foxy got up as the three ponies entered the hallway. "We got... Delayed" String Play grunted, "but we didn`t see Springtrap". Goldy got up, barely shaky anymore. "What happened? You`d of thought checking the crowd wouldn`t take nearly THAT long. Even if it was only half an hour, you said you be back-" "I don`t care about what I said, we here now. Sadly, Cognertian-" String Play was cut off. "Cognitio" Chica corrected him. "Cognition got us into the band thingy without asking. Now were stuck trying to find him from the stage while SINGING" String Play growled. Bonnie attempted to hold in a laugh, covering his muzzle with one hoof. Vincent smiled evilly, "Whelp, at least none of us have to-" he was also cut off, except it was by String Play. "Your all sharing this same stupid burden too" the black and white stallion glared at each one, seeing if any objected. Vincent held the same glare. "Oh no, I do NOT sing. Or dance, or play any instruments, or what-not" he folded his hooves. A shadow loomed over him, and all the ponies around held their breaths. "What did you just say?" String Play asked. Chica held a face of confusion as she watched the two. "I said I can`t sing, and therefore WON`T. If Spring- me, saw well, me, bad things would happen" Vincent looked straight at String Play, whom laughed slightly. String Play rose his head and glared at the others, before looking back at Vincent. "Um, String Play, what are you doing?" Chica asked. String Play didn`t answer. The two shared glares at each other for a bit. The rest just watched with baited breath. "You do know what you just got yourself into right?" String Play asked Vincent, whom bore confusion in his muzzle. "What do you mean?" was all the purple stallion could think to say. String Play backed up, and turned to head away. Vincent took this time to get up and back away out of String Play`s grasp. "Look, tomorrow night, were all on, okay?" String Play asked the group, more commandingly thank anything. Each one shook their head slowly. "Good". String Play walked away, but stopped as he watched the ponies pass in front of him. Vincent looked at the others, clearly wondering why they would say yes to something they most likely didn`t want to do. So he decided to make the wost decision ever and ask. "How can you put up with this- him?" Vincent whispered to the whole group, whom suddenly laid their ears back. Vincent perked up as they did so, suddenly worried. A small whirr of wind was heard, and then it happened. A sharp pain stung into his chest, causing him to stop any movement. Small drops of liquid dripped from the spot where the pain was centered at. With slow movement, Vincent looked down at a... Knife. Every pony stared, wide eyed, though Chica gasped and cupped her muzzle. "They can put up with me because i`m their leader, as you should have done" String Play smiled wickedly from the entrance to the hall, as he took to trotting away, disappearing in the fast moving crowd of ponies. (You`d find it odd that no pony ever goes down this hall... Ooh, magical???) No pony was moving, all stunned by what String Play did. Vincent stared at where String Play was for a bit, until he fell. His eyes closed, his limbs going limp. Foxy rushed to where he laid, Freddy, and Goldy soon joining in. Chica just stood there, gaping. "Vincent!" Foxy cried, "Lad, wake up!". A pool of blood was now widening it`s way on the floor. Tears actually came to Chica and Bonnie`s eyes, let`s just say Foxy`s were flooded with them. Even after only a day, Vincent seemed to be a good friend, at least to Foxy he was. "Vincent! Get up!" Foxy yet again cried. The unmoving stallion stayed limp. Goldy put a hoof to his neck, checking for a pulse. Then his eyes shrunk. "There`s no pulse" Goldy mumbled, and Foxy let out a sigh, but perked up. "If he`s a ghost, how is he bleeding?" he asked worriedly. "He IS a ghost, I know that. The brat even showed me" Freddy pitched in, his voice also flooded with concern. Foxy shared glances with them. "I don`t care right now, long as we can get him... Awake" he growled, "And then that String Play is gonna PAY". String Play strolled among the crowd, his white pupils searching for Springtrap. He had caught glimpses of similar colors passing him, but none matched the right tone. Most ponies around him parted ways, going around him, mostly creeped out by his eyes and coat. In a way, he seemed to be straight out of a video game, one of the bosses at the end of the game that are too smart and quick for you to kill. Along with the fact that ONCE you beat him, he would come back like Ganondorf, as some monstrous being. Ponies around him murmured, cupping their muzzles with their hooves as they whispered. String Play would eye them, before walking on. Springtrap had to be around here somewhere... Right? He looked on, trotting through the crowd as he reached the shops. He passed them, and soon reached the doors. His mind wandered along through different things, so he wasn`t really paying attention as he turned around and began to trot back to the stage. He had a blank stare on his face, though sometimes he would slightly smile while walking, whatever he was thinking of beyond imagination. thud. String Play bumped into an eye-level stallion, and stepped back quickly as he did so. The one in front of him had fallen, and got up in a flash, glaring at String Play. He was a golden green, and had tattered golden hair, about as short as String Play`s. His eyes were thin rings around a completely black oval pupil. "S-Springtrap..." String Play was shocked. The pony in front of him had a few cuts and bruises, and one ear was cut pretty badly. Springtrap didn`t take any chances before dashing off, leaving String Play a second to give chase. He ran after the golden stallion, though they matched speed, allowing Springtrap to stay in front. The stallion limped slightly on his right when he bounded across the floor, wincing each time he landed on the ground. "Get back here!" String Play yelled as he tried to catch up. His magic wasn`t working, due to the fact he couldn`t focus while going THIS fast. They dashed through and around groups of ponies, until Springtrap disappeared. String Play stopped suddenly, his eyes dancing around for Springtrap. The stallion was gone, nowhere to be seen. "Show yourself" he snarled. Most ponies ignored him. Springtrap didn`t come out of his hiding spot. "Coward, your gonna die next time" String Play spat as he turned around and began to trot back to the hallway his group now stayed at. "And so is Vincent".
