After escaping the nightmare of The Ship, Twilight, Rarity and Rainbow Dash made their way back to Ponyville through the Lifeless Forest. Upon arrival they were greeted by empty streets, most of the ponies staid indoors due to the fear of the lingering ship.

After a scout yelled who it was all the ponies came out to greet them. "What happened here?" Twilight asked one of the randoms, "disease and that damn ship" He said hatefully. As Twilight and the others walked around town, they noticed a strange mentality had grasped the locals of Ponyville  they seemed very hate filled and doomish.

It was late at night,  when Twilight heard Rarity talking to someone, Upon further investigation, she was talking to a wall. "Rarity are you ok?" Without a sound Rarity turned around and stared at Twilight. Rarity then Almost like a robot got up and charged Twilight, Twilight ran to her room and closed the door. Rarity was banging and scratching at the door, like she a feral dog.

Twilight looked out her window and saw absolute anarchy.  Ponyville was grasped in some kind of mind controlling plague, all the ponies seemed to act almost like rabid animals, attacking and wandering mindlessly with out thought. Twilight noticed the ship was moving around, she heard its propulsion system start, the ship slowly Ascended off the ground, it lifted it landing prongs and moved over the frenzied town, it then stopped over Ponyville's town square.

It then hovered their, almost like it was studying the madness ensuing below. but suddenly it started to release a strange gas, Twilight watched from her window as the gas hit the ponies below, at first it seemed noneffective to them, but after about 30 seconds they seemed to return to sanity. after the town was engulfed in the strange gas, the ship dropped a large cube in the middle of Ponyvilles Town Square. it then slowly ascended into the sky then almost as quick as it showed up, it took off with a loud Explosion.

As Twilight noticed the ship had gone. She Slowly opened her door and saw Rarity, Rarity who seemed like she confused at where she was for a moment soon came to her senses and walked over to twilight "im so sorry! i lost control of my mind, almost like i was being controlled!". As they walked down stairs to the street.



Ponyville was finally able to be free from fear and worry. almost immediately they started to go about their way, some just basked in the longed sun light, others went about picking up trash and rebuilding.

Twilight and Rarity walked over to the town square where the cube was dropped. on the cube their was a button. "Should we press it?" Rarity asked, Twilight looked at the seemingly benevolent cube, it was inscribed in a very strange language. She eventually Pressed the button, the cube fell apart. inside the cube was large Black stone with green streaks through it. on it was a note, the note read "this should clean the Water, Air and Ground". As the sun set, and the towns people retired for the night.

Twilight was again staring through her telescope, nothing could be seen but the distant stars. Twilight then Grabbed her notebook, and tossed it in her fireplace. "i dont think im cut out for astronomy" she said, as she prepared for bed.
