On the edge of the theater were arguing 3 fillies and their sisters.
“Rainbow Daaash, why did you go instead of us? It was perfect opportunity to earn our cutie marks.” Objected orange little pegasus.
´More likely Perfect opportunity to kill yourself ´ thought Rainbow Dash. “Girls, I think we should end this conversation. You don’t have any idea about situation.”
As soon as Rainbow Dash ended, Sweetie Belle sighed and said. “You just explain it and we could-“
“No.” Rarity cuts down Sweetie´s sentence and added. “You don’t understand!” a small snob escaped Rarity´s lips.
When Sweetie Belle saw Rarity, She abated. She knew something wasn’t right, but she also knew when Rarity wants her to be quiet. But that didn’t stop Scootalo from asking. “Then explain! Why we can’t go?”
“Because we don’t want to lose you.” Applejack said with tears in her eyes. As soon as she said it, she covered her mount, but it was late.
Applebloom’s eyes wielded. “What do you mean? What kind of game it is? Does it mean I can lose you?”
And then was quiet, it was so quiet that you can hear in background hiss of leaves. But quiet was only for a moment. Applebloom break silence. “ANSWER ME!”
3 sisters looked at each other. Nopony was brave enough to answer those questions. Moments later, Rainbow Dash sighed and tried to calm this situation. “Girls, I think we should calm down and-“
Scootalo cut Rainbow Dash “Rainbow please, answer us.” Doubt filled her voice.
Rainbow Dash bit her lips, sighed and revealed truth about games. “You know, what´s the name of this game…” 3 fillies nodded. “Hunger Games is a game on… live” Last word was spoken so quietly as if it was said by Fluttershy.
3 young fillies were frozen, like they were watching a horror movieMoments later, Sweetie Belle said. “… Rainbow Dash? If this is some kind of your pranks that this is low.”
Rainbow Dash turned head from fillies. Applejack answered fillies. “No girls, this is no prank, Ah´m sorry.
“NO! I DON’T LET THEM, TAKE YOU!” shouted Applebloom and grabbed her sisters front hoof like it was the new toy. But instead happiness there was sorrow. Everypony started crying, even Rainbow Dash led her to drop some tears.
After moments of sorrow Scootalo looked up to her adoptive sister. She asked one last question. “When?”
Rainbow Dash was first confused but then she understood the question and said simply, “Tomorrow *sigh* morning.”
“How could you?!”
A loud scream was heard in the royal castle. In the castle were 6 mares of harmony with 2 princesses. Twilight was angry like not before, she was so angry that she didn’t realize she was screaming at royal princesses who hung their heads.
Princess Celestia looked up at Twilight and spoken. “Twilight, my dear stude-“ she was cut.
“NO! No… I don’t want to hear another ´twilight, my dear student…´” said Twilight and added “I want to hear truth.”
“We don’t have any choice.” Celestia Answered simply.
“What do you mean by that?” Twilight burned with rage.
“We must do it, otherwise we would have war with Griffon Empire.” Princess Celestia said, her voice sounded like something between snob and shout.
Twilight was surprised, but she quickly recovered and said. “There are different ways to prevent war.”
Luna answered before Celestia could. “We tried everything but Griffon Empire got a new ruler. He wound find any reason for war!”
Twilight shot back. “So your best option was sent 6 ponies to this ...brutal Game?!”
“It´s for the greater good!” Luna tried to reason.
“I think you want to say ´It was´.” Said Twilight coldly.
Luna opened her mount, but no words were said. She got no words…
Twilight turned and started walking down the hall. She turned her head to two sad princesses and said. “If I survive this, I don’t think I want to see you again.” And then she left.
These words bring only more sorrow in the situation. Celestia started to freely cry and muttering to herself. “Why did I do it?” over and over again. Everypony else started to leave only the last one of mane 6 stayed, Rainbow Dash.
“You should come tomorrow to PonyVille, to say at least good-bye.” Rainbow Dash said and left.
Next morning
“No, please don’t go…” said Sweetie Belle held her sister´s front hoof.
“Sorry darling, I must go, it´s decided.” Said Rarity with sweet but sad voice.
Sweetie Belle hung her head, she can´t cry, she had nothing left to cry, she cried herself to sleep in the hug of her sister. Suddenly she stood up and galloped to her bedroom. Rarity was confused, ´what was that?´ she thought then she step into her sisters room. She wished that she didn’t. There was a mess like no other. The bedroom was like after one of Pinkie´s party.
“Sweetie Belle! What is this? Why are you creating this mess?” shouted Rarity.
Sweetie Belle didn’t answer. A moment after she squealed happily and galloped to Rarity with a pendant in her hooves.
“What is this, darling?” asked Rarity.
“It´s a lucky amulet. Me, Applebloom and Scootalo were trying to get cutie marks as Jewelers. Please take it as a gift from me.”
Rarity took the pendant to telekinesis and read what is written on it. ´Best Sister EVER and 3 hearts´ this was heartwarming. She gave pendant to Sweetie Belle and hung her head on sisters level.
Sweetie Belle looked at her with a sad expression and said. “You don’t like him, do you?”
Rarity only smiled and said. “Darling, It´s simply beautiful. I want from you to sling it on me.”
Sweetie Belle did as she was told and smiled for a first time that day. They stood up and heat to the PonyVille station.
When they arrived on station. All they can see was a mass of ponies. Some from Canterlot, some from Appolosa but mostly from PonyVille. Rarity saw her 5 best friends on the train platform. She heard Spike as he was saying.
“Please Twilight, let me.”
“Sorry Spike, but you can’t go with me.” Said purple unicorn.
“Why? I would protect you from them, why you won´t let me?”
“It doesn’t depend on me, sorry, Spike you can´t come with me.”
Spike only hung his head. Not whining to continue to argue.
“Spike, Please, Take care of the Library, do you? Spike nodded in agreement.
As Princess Cadence was coming they knew what must be done. They said their last farewells and entered the train.
Pinkie Pie opened first wagon and shouted. ”YEEY, Shining Armor is going too!”
Twilight´s heart skipped a beat. Surprised mare said. “Big Brother?”
Shining Armor only looked up sadly and greeted her sister. “Hello Twilight.”
