//------------------------------// // He`s back, undead. Or not, I think. // Story: Purple Tears 2 // by Doukzor //------------------------------// "Any luck, lad?" Foxy asked Bonnie. "No" was his only reply. Bonnie had become rather... Silent over the long years. "Hm... I`m gonna check over near the stage, can you see `bout the shops?" the metal hoofed stallion asked. Bonnie nodded in acceptance. "Sure, meet me here if you find something". The purple stallion trotted off. With a sigh, Foxy began to make his way over to the stage. He checked around the groups of ponies, looking for any out-there ones. None showed through. He looked over the many mares and stallions, a bit on his metal hind legs. There was one stallion, a golden green one with tattered hair, whom seemed to be slinking through the crowd- "Hey". Foxy swung his head around and was met with the strange white pupils of Goldy. "Bah!" the fox pony gasped, "ye scared me!". Goldy smiled. "Sorry, I guess. Have you found anything?". Foxy looked back at the spot where he`d seen that one pony. "Possibly, until ye showed up. A suspicious lookin` stallion was heading away from the crowd, but I didn`t get a good look". Goldy looked over towards where Foxy was pointing his snout. His fox- pony tail seemingly pointed in that direction too. "Hm... I`ll go check it out. You stay and look around the stage, okay?" Goldy cocked his head to Foxy, whom nodded. "Sure, but if you need me, jus` yell". With a nod, Goldy trotted off in the direction of the stallion. Foxy continued to check the ponies that passed, along with any shop-sellers. "Er... I have low hopes `bout this" he mumbled. "Wait, you wanna split up?" Chica asked. String Play nodded. "Yes, one pony traversing near Town Hall, one near Sugar cube corner, and one near... Twilight`s castle" he replied, though he began fumbling with a small sphere of dark magic afterwards. Freddy put a hoof to the stallion`s shoulder. "Hey, why don`t I take the route near Twilight`s castle? You can go to Sugar cube corner, alright?". String Play smiled weakly. "Thank you. It`s just... Er, yeah, let`s go" String Play left Chica and Freddy. They stared at him oddly. "Was he THAT close to her?" Chica asked, receiving a nod from Freddy. "Yes, actually. From what I know, anyways" he responded, and then focused his vision towards the crystal castle. It was see-able from anywhere in Ponyville, the large tree like building giving off light in all directions. Really, he was surprised that alicorn wasn`t blind by now. "So i`ll take the route near town hall, right?" Chica interrupted Freddy`s thoughts. "Yeah" he answered blandly. Chica then began to trot off, waving her missing cupcake hoof to Freddy as she left. "Bye" he sighed. This was gonna be a long day. He glanced to Twilight`s castle. A really long day. "So... How was your job last night?" Twilight asked the distant staring Badge Gleam. He snapped back into reality and glanced over at Twilight. "Oh, it was... Fine" he sighed. No it wasn`t. Those things wanted to... Kill him. Twilight glared at him. "I know that`s not true" she poked the stallion. He smiled weakly. "I`m just... Being alone in a dark place with open doors can give you the creeps. I`m just a bit worn out, you could say" his smile stayed, but ears were clouded with thoughts of fear and death. Twilight knew something was up, but decided to let it slide. For now. "Alright then. Wanna go to the Battle of the bands? I hear they have a sort of shop thing set up like Cosplay`s do!" she yipped happily. Badge Gleam nodded. "Yeah, of course! Let`s go!" he broke into a trot, and Twilight soon caught up. They traversed for a bit, looking at the ponies they passed, until Badge Gleam stopped short. "Hey, Twilight". She stopped too, and turned to him. "Wanna get something to eat from Sugar Cube corner first?" he nudged his snout near the dessert place, causing twilight to smile widely. "Yeah, i`d love too! Come one!", with that, the two broke into a gallop. "Bet you I can get there first" Twilight raised her eye brows up and down at Badge Gleam. The stallion gave her a what the heck look, but then smiled at her bet. "Pfft, yeah whatever" he laughed. Twilight only nodded. "Your on". Goldy slunk around the ponies he passed, careful to keep out of sight of the stallion. It had to have been Springtrap, he was sure of it. The dagger cutie mark, the tattered hair, it was him. The golden green stallion was close to Goldy now, in fact. "C`mon, I need to see your ugly face to tell..." he tried to get around to the front to get a quick glance, but the stallion was too quick, along with the fact he kept turning directions. Not only that, but the awkward movement and looks of Goldy got him some rather unwanted glares. He shrugged those off, and continued his stalk. The stallion kept with the crowd, until- he disappeared. Goldy stood up straight, looking around for the sneaky killer. "Uh, where`d you-" he spotted a the gold-green coated stallion, facing away, walking down a hall. "Why would you want to go there?" Goldy slunk back and through the crowd. Once he reached the hall he was pretty sure the stallion wasn`t going to look behind him, so he began to just casually walk towards him. The golden green pony stopped. So did Goldy. But with his hesitation, he still slowly began to walk towards the stallion, creeping up until he was about a foot away. The pony wore his hair in a ponytail, similar, if not exactly like Vincent`s. Goldy raised a hoof to tap on the shoulder to talk to the stallion. "You managed to follow me the whole way, eh?" a smooth but deeply cracked voice emitted from the pony. Goldy froze. The stallion turned around to face him, whom gaped. Springtrap stood in front of him, a regular golden-green stallion, save for the tattered mane and tail, and the iris` being only thin black rings around the pupil. He glared down at Goldy. The smaller golden stallion backed up, but returned the hostile stare. "You made a terrible decision, colt" Springtrap smiled, his teeth mostly consisting of sharp edged canines. Goldy said nothing. He slid into a defensive position, which in return so did Springtrap. "Fine, have it your way" he snorted. In a flash, Goldy lunged at Springtrap, whom dodged him with ease. Springtrap took a knife in his mouth and swung, almost slicing Goldy`s skin. The two kicked and dodged, almost no pain done to each other, until Goldy tripped one attack. He turned his back to Springtrap and bucked, but the killer kicked out his front right leg, causing him to fall. As soon as he hit the ground he began to get up, but Springtrap kicked his stomach, forcing him to grab his sides. Goldy slid away from Springtrap, whom only smiled as he punched at Goldy. He dodged, and got a hit to Springtrap, but was soon kicked in the face. He fell, and immediately began to get up, though it was slower. As soon as his back was curved where he was shakily on his hooves, Springtrap struck. A sharp pain sliced through Goldy`s back. His eyes shrunk, as blood began to fall onto the ground. "Y-you..." Goldy whimpered. He tried to stand up straight, but only fell to the ground. His eyes were half-lidded. Springtrap took the knife out of Goldy`s back. He began to walk away, only stopping to say one thing. "Have fun dying". He disappeared into another hallway, leaving the bloody stallion to rot. Once gone, a purple stallion rushed over from behind a stack of boxes. He knelt down beside the slowly dying gold stallion. "You idiot" was all the stallion said at first, his darker purple ponytail dropping from his left shoulder. Goldy looked up at the stallion, to see whom it was. The first thing he saw was the one black and white pupil eye staring at him, the other eye a bright yellow. He was all purple, his hair only being a darker shade of it. The pony seemed familiar... Then it clicked. "V-Vincent?" Goldy asked, though his eyes were slowly closing. "Be quiet, you idiot" the stallion ordered. Goldy`s eyes closed, though if he was dead or not was a variable. The purple stallion looked for signs of life- Goldy`s sides were rising and falling. They were shallow, but it still meant he was alive. "Er, I need to go get him..." the stallion stood up, " Stay here, uh, wait. Never mind" he face-hoofed himself before galloping off in the direction Goldy had entered. "Er, I would`a thought Goldy`d be back by now" Foxy mumbled. He had searched the whole stage, the crowds, even some of the shop-sellers, TWICE. Bonnie had reported seeing nothing, and only a few golden ponies. Foxy only continued his search. That is until, he caught a glimpse of a familiar purple stallion. The fox pony swung his head around to look back where the pony was, but he was nowhere to be seen. Slowly, Foxy moved through the crowd, towards the spot where the stallion had been. A purple whirr flashed it`s way through the crowd again, though this time Foxy was almost certain it was... Vincent. The crimson pony gave chase, nimbly dodging in between ponies, as he made his way towards the quick moving pony. It moved again, only to follow the same path Goldy had took before. Eventually, it reached the beginning of the hallway, Foxy close behind. Once the fox reached the hallway it had sped into, he took to staying in any shadows available. The purple stallion, definitely Vincent, was leaning beside a downed golden pony. Goldy. With a snarl, Foxy lunged at Vincent, throwing him aside. The two tumbled a bit, until Vincent held out a hoof- which caught onto the dry floor, causing the roll to stop. They landed with Foxy on top, glaring down at the Purple stallion in front of him. "Eh... Hi?" Vincent squeaked. Foxy only growled. "What did you do to him!" he snapped. The purple stallion returned the glare, his white pupil eye adding to the tension. "It wasn`t me, it was Springtrap. I came after. I was too". Foxy didn`t let Vincent get up, clearly unconvinced. So he gave it another go. "Look. Let me explain, Springtrap, or me from now, attacked Goldy. I came back, undead-ish, and now your friend is laying there dying. Okay? Okay. Now get off of me!!!" he shouted. Foxy glanced at Goldy, whom was unconscious. He stepped off of Vincent, allowing the purple stallion to get up. "Run, and ye`ll die" Foxy glared at him, before galloping over to his downed friend. He checked his pulse. Alive, good. "You`ll be okay, Goldy, let`s get you patched up" Foxy got up and padded over to Vincent, whom smiled weakly. "So... Your not gonna kill me again, are you?" he asked. "Aye. Stay here, and I won`t. If I come back and yer gone, I swear, " Foxy stepped in close to Vincent, whispering, "I`ll gouge yer eyes out".
