The airship trembled as it flew through the blinding pillar of light. A man wearing armor that was obsidian-black yelled at the others, “Damn it, I thought we agreed that this was the last one! That we were going to end this stupidity once and for all!”
The small one with butterfly wings was the only one even looking at him. She was also the only one to respond, “You idiot, do you really think you could stop that which has been set in motion since before you were even born?! These two have the right idea, help the people of these worlds by bringing them the First Light.”
The one in black roared in frustration, before asking the others standing behind the fairy, “Tim, Emma, you can’t really believe this garbage.”
The young man in tan shrugged, “Alen, it doesn’t matter. At least this way we help some people for a little and we might get to go home.”
The girl with blonde hair hid her eyes, before whispering, “I just want to see my mom and dad again.”
The armored one calmed down a bit at this, before telling the girl, “We can find another way, we don’t have to follow this fairy blindly.”
The winged one just laughed with hatred filling her voice, before snapping at Alen, “There is no other way! But if you’re in our way, then I’m afraid you have to go.” A small orb of light filled her hand, and it then shot out and struck him in the chest, sending him flying over the rails. The only shout came from him as he fell through the endless light.
