"IT'S NOT WORKING!"
"KEEP FIRING, NO WAY IN MELMAC AM I LETTING HIM TAKE THIS TOWN!"
"SIR, WHAT SHOULD WE DO?"
"KEEP! FIRING!"
Scootaloo woke up to find hundreds of ponies, along with Alf, in a total panic.
"Hey, what's going on?" She asked Alf, who had been guarding her.
"SCOOTALOO! We were afraid we'd lost you. It's bad! After you took down Grogar's assassin, he went ballistic. Thousands of troopers are closing in, and Grogar is leading them!" Said the understandably frazzled Alf.
"Where's everyone else?" She asked.
"Still shopping, kiddo. It's only been an hour."
Scootaloo was shocked by this. The ground was riddled with bodies, and the many pillars of smoke made this look like a true war zone.
"You can hold them back, right?" She asked with a twinge of fear in her voice.
"It's not looking good. The troopers are surrounding the city. We couldn't even evacuate. I'm sorry Scootaloo, but I think this is our last stand. Grogar is too powerful." Alf can get kinda heavy.
Scootaloo calmly stood up, looked Alf right in the eyes, and punched him right in the mouth.
"HEY, not even Willie hit me THAT hard! What did I do to deserve THAT?" Asked Alf, spitting out a bloody tooth.
"Do you have ANY idea what we've faced before? We've traveled the UNIVERSE! We stopped a mad alicorn! We've ALWAYS found a way out of this! If you're willing to give up this easily, you're not fit to lead these ponies!" And a huge enemy laser blast exploded behind Scootaloo, causing a really cool effect.
Alf looked at her. She almost looked like she was glowing white as she finished talking.
"O-okay men! WE TAKE THE FIGHT TO THEM!" Alf grabbed a cannon, because they use old fashioned civil war like cannons, and ran toward the city gates. The remaining ponies followed.
The Troopers immediately stopped marching.
"Wait, this feels wrong." Said Alf as his ponies also stopped.
"So you needed the words of that little pony to grow a spine?"
The troopers split down the middle, making a huge pathway.
Grogar began to slowly walk toward Alf.
"Never had a spine. Got a pretty big radius though" Retorted Alf.
"I've allowed you to kill some of my troopers, but I think this game is over." Grogar's eyes began to glow red.
"MEN, PREPARE ALL CANNONS!" Ordered Alf.
Suddenly all of the cannons became red hot, and they exploded, sending shrapnel flying, killing many of the ponies.
"I know you have a sword. Use it!" And with that, Grogar charged at Alf.
The ponies began to run to his aid, but were swarmed by troopers.
Grogar jumped into the air, and kicked Alf at incredible speed. Alf was quickly back on his feet, and attempted to strike him, but every swipe and stab missed.
Scootaloo had decided to attempt an evacuation. Most of the town was already in a panic.
She stood atop the Swooty bell statue that had been built.
"EVERYONE, WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE NOW! FOLLOW ME!"
Some continued in mindless panic, but around 200 ponies followed her.
Alf was giving this fight everything he had, but Grogar was on a whole other level.
"You and all of your men will die. This is unavoidable. I will spread my power throughout the planet, and I shall move on"
Grogar used his magic to grab Alf by the neck and lift him into the air.
"And I shall open the door to other universes. I will lay to waste all who stand in my way."
He tightened his grip.
"The bell will ring today, and I will march on every planet. I will march on every universe. I will be known to all. My name shall make them tremble."
Alf was powerless. He floated in the air, unable to breath.
"Now say it. Say the name of your leader. Say the name of the one who shall conquer all, and be known throughout creation!"
Alf looked him straight in the eyes.
"SC-SC-SCOO-TA----LOO!"
Grogar squeezed, and crushed Alf's neck.
"No mercy" he said.
The troopers immediately executed the remaining pony soldiers.
"Turn it to dust." He ordered.
Scootaloo had led them to the far end of town when she saw them. The troopers had surrounded the town.
"GROGAR, PLEASE! YOU CAN KILL ME, BUT LET THEM GO!" She pleaded.
"Scooty...." Said changeshape as tears welled into her eyes. Also she's still watching.
Grogar looked at her. Grogar glared at her.
"To dust"
Grogar disappeared.
The troopers all began to fire. Laser guns. Laser cannons. Laser mortars.
The ponies tried to run, but it was no use. A group of twenty made a break for the city gates, but a carefully placed laser shot took all of their heads.
Another tried to fight back, but in an instant their flesh ignited from the flurry of laser bolts.
"SHELL THE TOWN!" One trooper ordered.
From above huge laser mortars rained down.
"PLEASE!" Screamed one, but she was reduced to dust.
The pegasi tried to fly away, but the snipers took out their wings in mid flight, sending them falling to their deaths.
Scootaloo had no choice but to run. She thought just maybe she could escape and find her friends.
"OVER HERE!" Screamed a mare from the remains of the school. Scootaloo ran to her and a group of about ten ponies, and they hid in the rubble. They huddled together.
"Please. please. please please." repeatedly whispered one of them.
"Why?" Asked another, with tears rolling down his face.
The mare didn't say anything. She just held Scootaloo. She held her as deeply as she could.
The screaming outside had stopped, but the sound of the lasers kept going.
Changeshape could only watch.
She watched as the troopers marched onto the remains of her home.
She watched as the entire town was murdered.
She watched as a mortar directly hit the rubble of the school.
"MY SCOOTALOO!" She screamed.
All that remained of Horse Town U.S.A was dust.
