The Cure

"HEEEELLLLPPP!!!!" Spike cried frantically as he ran from the giant herd, led by a bouncing Pinkie Pie. Soon they chased him into an alleyway and soon he came to a dead end. He was trapped. The ponies cornered him, holding out gifts, Pinkie Pie was holding out sweets, and Rarity was giving him gems. "Oooh... don't mind if I do!" Spike said, grabbing a couple of gems and cupcakes, stuffing his face full. "Wait a minute. Spike, focus!" He told himself. "I need to find a cure for these ponies and quick!" "The question is, how did they all get some of the love potion?" The herd of ponies jumped on him kissing him. And why did the potion make them drawn to me? I must've sipped out of the potion and made it linked to me... He thought and he shoved the ponies off of him. He had kiss marks all over him. One more time, he screamed for help.

"Awww.... Wittle Spikey Wikey overwhelmed by all these ponies?" Rarity grabbed Spike and cradled him in her arms. "Don't worry my love, I'll save you!" She said. Spike wiggled out of her hooves.

"STOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!" He screamed as loud as he ever had. "There's no need to fight over me like this!" "Now, what did all of you do in the last hour?" The mares (the potion obviously only works on girls if it's linked to a boy) all started answering eagerly.

"Well I was making a special treat for you, Spike." Bon Bon replied.

"I playing with bubbles, shaped like Spike." Derpy smiled.

"Pinkie was giving out free samples of cupcakes at Sugarcube Corner." Lyra answered.

"Wait, she was?" "What flavor?" Spike asked, getting a little carried away.

"Well, I added a secret special ingredient just for my little Spikey Poo!" Pinkie stated, holding out a cupcake. "Want one?"

"Oh no." Spike groaned.

"What? Don't like cupcakes?" Pinkie asked. "Well, I'm fine with kissing you some more." And all the mares were about to jump on Spike when a bright purple light popped in front of Spike. Twilight was standing there.

"Don't touch him!" She yelled. "HE'S MINE!" Her horn glowed, making a shield around the two.

"Twilight, not you t-"

"Shhhh..." Twilight shushed. "Just go with it, I'm trying to save your butt."

"Oh..." Spike blushed. The both teleported to the Golden Oak Library. Rarity was already there.

"SPIKEY!" She cried happily, reaching for Spike.

"Not so fast..." Twilight grinned. She shot a beam from her horn. It hit Rarity, causing every joint in her body to freeze. She was stuck in that pose. "There we go." Twilight said, brushing her hoofs off.

"I have the book right here." Spike said. "Let's get to work."

After making the antidote, they were ready for action. Spike stood outside with a the large pitcher of antidote in his claws. After a while, he spotted Pinkie Pie. "Spikey?" She said excitedly.

"Hey Pinkie Pie, since were dating and all, here's some really good punch for you to share with everypony at Sugarcube Corner." Spike smiled.

"HEY EVERYPONY! SPIKE'S GOT PUNCH FOR US!!!" Pinkie cried. Suddenly, tons of mares began lining up to get a taste of the punch.

"Whew." Spike said. "Glad this is over..."

2 days later

It had been two days since the incident with the love potion. Spike had Pinkie Pie throw away the rest of the cupcakes, but every now and then ponies would still come to the door asking for Spike's heart. But Spike and Twilight would just give them some antidote, and they'd be off. Spike soon decided it was time to make a real apology to Rarity to all the trouble he'd caused for drinking the potion. So he began his walk to the Carousel Boutique. He knocked on the door politely. Sweetie Belle opened it up.

"You again?" She yawned. Spike shoved her over and walked in.

"Rarity?" Spike called. "It's me, Spike."

Sweetie Belle got up clumsily. "I let him in!" She laughed.

"Coming, darling!" Spike heard her say. She came down the stairs, looking beautiful, as always.

"Rarity..." Spike started. "I just wanna say, I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused, again." He smiled.

"YOU caused?" Rarity asked, confused. "I made the potion, darling, It was MY fault that all of that happened." "But the good thing is, you and Twilight made the antidote and fixed my mistake, thank you ever so much."

Spike blushed. He'd remembered giving Rarity the antidote, and her reaction after he'd told her what happened. He laughed at the thought.

"Well, thanks for stopping by, Spike, come again please." Sweetie Belle said, shoving Spike out the door. Rarity glared at her.

After returning upstairs to her room, Rarity watched Spike leave through her window. "Spike..." She sighed, lovingly. She picked up the picture frame of him and hugged it. "Please don't leave me, my love..." She sighed as she pressed her hoof against the frame glass.
