ADAGIO

Don't count your chickens till they have hatched

Once Adagio had run off. Castoke and Rainbow decided now was the time to act. There was no time to waste. Castoke had made it entirely clear that Adagio was a dangerous and unpredictable creature. More so than even Rainbow Dash had known, He made it rather clear that if they did not act now. There could very well never be another chance.

“Ron~!” Rainbow said as she stepped out infront of him to stop him in his tracks.

“Well, well, well if it isn’t the girl who always mocks me.” Ron said in a tone that showed that for some reason he didn’t exactly like Rainbow Dash
“Ron I suggest you use your brain here and listen.” Castoke said in a rather soft tone of voice. “We have to talk about your new girlfriend. Adagio is here name right~?” Castoke questioned. His stern eye watching Ron very closely, Castoke badly wanted to get paid for this. More importantly though he wanted to make sure that Ron would be out of harm’s way from Adagio. What Castoke and Rainbow didn’t know was that Adagio was watching. She had quickly found out that the noise she had heard was false. She was also slowly beginning to realize that this must have been planned against her. Adagio could feel a pain start to throb in her chest. This pain felt so much like the pain she had felt when she had lost her amulet. Adagio felt as if her heart was breaking. She could hear Castoke and Rainbow starting to tell Ron what she was. Adagio felt something start to form in her eyes. Something she had not felt in many years possibly decades. A deep reptilian growl resonated from Adagios throat as she started to make her way toward them. Castoke saw her coming and he gave a nod to a couple people across the room. Castoke had just given them the command to make sure Adagio couldn’t stop them. Castoke’s friends were specially trained to make sure that a selected person was to not make it past them.

“Sorry Adagio, you’re not permitted to pass.” One of the young men stated in a deep tone of voice. Adagio closed her eyes and another deep chested reptilian growl was heard. This one caused the shards of her amulet to glow. Adagio had decided to take every piece with her today. Adagio slowly opened her eyes. Her beautiful Raspberry eyes had turned to a raspberry colored snake like eye. Deep within her irises were speckles of gold coloring. The men grew rather uneasy as they saw Adagio becoming rather upset. These men knew they were messing with something dangerous. After all they were working for Castoke the man who spends most of his life searching for things that may not even exist.

“Awwwwwww darlings,” Adagio said as she extended her arms allowing one finger to rub under the two men’s chins. She scratched under their chins. “I think we can come to a few terms here.” Her expression of false enthusiasm faded instantly to a face of anger. Adagio had entered into a small fit of rage. She picked the men up by their throats. “Step aside or perish.” Adagio felt like she was stepping back to the days she had no choice but to act primitive to the equally primitive men whom piloted ships across an ocean that they did not control. Castoke saw this just as they had finished up explaining to Ron What Adagio was. Ron had the most shocked look on his face. Adagio at that moment could feel what he was feeling. His emotions were connected to hers. A soft whimper came from Adagio as she let go of the henchmen whom had done their jobs perfectly. The kept Adagio from the one being she loved. The one being she had emotions for. The one being whose emotions she was now forced to feel. Adagio knew he was unhappy. The tears in her eyes were starting to blind her vision. Adagio had never felt such emotions in a long time. Castoke saw the emotion that was pouring out of the Siren. Rainbow had not seen it for she was preoccupied with trying to comfort Ron who had just found out his girlfriend Adagio was a giant sea serpent. “Rainbow we have to go now.” Castoke said as he slowly stood up. He was keeping his eyes on Adagio knowing he and Rainbow had just made a really big mistake. They had done wrong. Castoke believed that Adagio’s intentions on Ron were nothing but negative. He was wrong he could see the Sirens heart was broken. He never knew Sirens could love.

“Why exactly do we have to go? I’m trying to comfort Ron right now.” Rainbow said with a voice full of confusion.

Trust me Ron will be fine. It will be us who will be hurt if we stay.” Castoke grabbed Rainbow by the hand and pulled her close. “Let’s get out of her right now. You can have all the time you want with Ron….Just not right now.” Castoke started to pull Rainbow away and out of sight. Ron watched as they disappeared down the hall. Ron started to turn around when he was met with the crying face of Adagio. Ron jumped back as he was not expecting to see her. Her makeup was streaking down her cheek as she was still silently crying. Adagio slowly wiped her eyes to try and keep her cool.

“H-hi Ron y-you ready for c-class?” Adagio held on of her hands on her chest as she held out another hand to Ron. Adagio forced a smile on her own face. Though she had stopped crying she still had streaks down her cheeks this depicted her in a distressed mood. Ron looked at her and his heart kept skipping beats seeing her in such peril. He may have just learned she was some reptile but that didn’t stop him from feeling bad for her. Ron slowly caressed Adagios cheek. He took out a handkerchief and he slowly started to clean her upset face. Adagio closed her eye as the handkerchief rubbed her face. Her cheek were now visibly red and irritated from both her crying and Ron’s not entirely professional cleaning skills

“Yes Dagi I’m ready for class. May I ask why you were so upset?” Ron said as he was obviously unaware that she knew about what he now knew.

“N-no reason dear. I was crying t-tears of joy because I love you.” Adagio said in a semi truthful manor. She was crying because she loved him. But they were not joyful tears. They were the unjoyful tears people feel when they feel they are about to lose the one last thing that matters to them.
