Discord was once again trotting through town. This time, he hoped that there wouldn’t be any disturbances to keep him away from his goal. He trotted around a corner. It was now a clear shot to the Carousel Boutique where Rarity hopefully was. Discord was going to give her a piece of his mind.
Surprisingly enough, nothing happened. No fillies crashing into him and no pegasi with their heads in the clouds. He slowed down a few feet in front of the door and cracked his neck. As it was a business, there was no need to knock. Just to walk inside. He carefully opened the door. A bell jingled, signaling that somepony had entered the building echoed through it.
’‘Coming~’’ Rarity sang from one of the rooms where she kept her fabrics and gems for her designs. Discord walked inside and glanced around the room. There was a few fully clothed ponykins and some that had unfinished projects hanging from them. Discord’s eyes widened as he saw a cloak similair to the one he had used to hide his wings when he first came to Ponyville. A loud gasp followed by a whining sound bought his attention. He turned around to see Rarity. Her eyes was wide as plates and she was shaking. Discord smirked and walked closer to her.
’‘Hello Little Miss Rarity...’’ Discord stopped right in front of her. She looked like she was about to pass out.
’‘Wha-wha-what are you doing here?’’ She glanced at the door, ready to make a break for it.
’’Oh relax, I’m not going to do anything to you.’’ DIscord nonchalantly rubbed his hoof to his chest. ’‘If I were to try, even you would be able to stop me and ’Ol Shiny would lock me up without a second thought.’’ Discord walked up to the ponykin with the cloak on.
’‘What do you mean?’’ Rarity had calmed down enough to stop shaking but she was still cautious.
Discord sighed and facehoofed. ’‘Seems like somepony haven’t paid attention to what Tia said about this thing.’’ Discord smacked the necklace, an eerie humming sound came from it momentarily. ’’It blocks all of my magic so I can’t fly or use any magic whatsoever. I can’t even walk a long distance without losing strength.’’ Discord glanced down at the hated piece of jewelry.
’’It looks good though.’’ Rarity pointed out.
’’I know right? It matches my eyes~’’ Discord battered his eyelashes and grinned. Rarity had finally loosened up enough to giggle at his joke.
’‘Perhaps you’re not such a brute after all...’’ Rarity arched her eyebrows and pouted a little.
’‘Well, ask Sunshine about that. I put soap all over her bedroom floor and made batter explode from all of her ovens when she was in the kitchen.’’ Discord chuckled at the memories, Rarity looked horrified.
’’Oh no you didn’t...’’ Rarity lifted a hoof to her mouth.
’’Oh yes I did,’’ Discord answered in a ghetto fashion. ’‘and I enjoyed every single second of it.’’ He smirked again.
’’Oh dear...’’
’‘What? It was hilarious. Even Lu laughed at it.’’ Discord pouted. The mention of Luna perked Rarity’s interest. A devious grin embraced her features.
”’Princess Luna.’” Rarity drew out every word.
’‘What about her?’’ Discord arched an eyebrow and glanced at the fashionista.
’’I am no fool,’’
’‘Pfftch-yeah, right.’’ Discord rolled his eyes and sat down. Rarity shot him a dirty look before she continued.
’’I know that there’s something between you two.’’ Rarity stretched her neck in a victorious pose.
Discord yawned and smacked his lips. ’‘Brilliant observation, Sherlock. What gave it away?’’
’’...You mean that other ponies already know?’’ Rarity’s face fell.
’‘Yup. Twilight Sparkle, Shiny and maybe a few castle servants’’ Discord poked the cloak on the ponykin.
’’Oh...’’ Rarity became lost in thought for a while before she snapped out of it. ’‘How did you two even meet?’’
”Three thousand two hundred sixty eight years ago next tuesday..’’ Discord shrugged.

’’I crawled out from my hiding place in the grove and looked around. Someone or something had just passed me. I stood up on my legs and took a quick look around. Something felt odd today.
I slithered through the air like the part-serpent I was, searching for the disturbance. I was suddenly shot out of the air by some kind of magic blast. I howled in pain and twirled down onto the field. Butterflies flew away in every direction as I crashed down. I felt a thump on the ground a few feet away from me. I refused to open my eyes as I would only be blinded. A shadow blocked the sun from my eyes. I cracked my eyes open to see a tall midnight blue figure towering over me. After my eyes had adjusted, my jaw dropped.
It was a midnight blue pony. I was always told to stay away from ponies but I never listened. I had seen ponies with horns and wings but this pony had both wings AND a horn. It looked at me like it wasn’t sure what to make of me. I stood up and the pony moved away from me with its ears splayed back. That’s when I noticed that it was a female. Her body was much more slender and she had a more supple figure than male ponies had. She was beautiful.
I winced at the pain in my back, grimacing as I pulled a stick out from it.
”Are... Are you okay?’’ Her voice was so gentle. I became entranced by it. I wanted to hear more.
”Yeah, I’m fine.’’ I grinned sheepishly, hiding every hint of pain. It didn’t look very convincing.
”You sure? I mean, taking an arcane bolt to the back has to hurt.’’
”You have no Idea’’ I whined and summoned a cotton candy cloud.
’’Is... Is that cotton candy..?’’ She stared at my cloud like it was a ghost
’‘Yeah, want some?’’ She nodded as an answer and I split it in the middle with my magic and pushed the other half to her. She tore a small piece of it with her magic and carefully tasted it. Her eyes widened after the first bite. ”Well?’’
”This is great!’’ She squeaked with excitement. ’’By the way, I’m Luna. What’s your name?’’ She poked me with her right hoof, mouth filled with cotton candy.
”Discord.’’

Rarity looked at Discord like he was a completely different pony. ”You weren’t bad...’’
”Surprising, I know. I’m still a handsome devil though.’’ Discord stroked his left hoof through his black mane. Rarity snorted and rolled her eyes.
”Puh-lease...’’
’’Is that so, Lady Rarity?’’ Discord smirked and walked closer towards her. ’’I remember by that lake...’’ Rarity’s eyes widened and her ears flattened to her skull. ’’I presume no more words are needed.’’ Discord laughed.
”Let us agree to never speak of that again.’’ Rarity panicked slightly.
”But it’s so very fun...’’ Discord walked a lap around her. ”Remember the last time I broke free, I gave you a beautiful diamond...’’ Rarity’s body tensed immediately and her eyes narrowed.
”Don’t.’’ Rarity warned the spirit.
”What the devil did you call it again...’’ Discord tapped a hoof to his chin. ’’Ah yes, you called it Tom...’’ Discord grinned as Rarity growled.
”Calm down Rarity... Don’t let him get to you...’’ She said to herself as she took a few breaths to regain her composure
”Mine..!’’ Discord imitated her the way she had shrieked and dived for the element necklace.
Rarity screamed furiously and pounced the laughing spirit mocking her.

It took a full hour until Rarity had calmed down. Discord was still snickering at her, very amused by her reaction. He was about to leave when Rarity insisted to follow him back to the library to have a little chat with Twilight about his behaviour. Discord frowned as he thought of the reprimanding he would most probably be given by Luna.
Thirty feet away from the boutique, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie were standing with a modified version of Pinkie’s party cannon ready to fire at anypony leaving it. Rainbow’s hooves was itching to fire at the damn spirit. She would have her revenge.
They had modified the cannon to fire a solid explosive ball of confetti instead of a selection of party neccessities. They were going to get him good. Her eyes widened as she saw the door open. Discord was the first one to leave the boutique so she pulled the trigger. Just after the trigger had been pulled, she saw Rarity getting in the line of fire. Rainbow covered her eyes with her hooves.
Discord saw the projectile coming and pushed Rarity out of the way. She was protesting wildly, but when she saw a huge grey projectile crash into his side with a sickening crunch that sent him flying through one of her windows to her boutique, her jaw dropped. Her head whipped to see the ponies responsible. She wasn’t surprised when she saw Rainbow Dash standing next to a smoking cannon rubbing the back of her head and grinning innocently.
Pinkie Pie was suddenly standing next to Rarity and peeking through the broken window. Pinkie’s hair deflated and Rarity knew that it wasn’t a good sign.
’’Crap! BAIL!'’ Rainbow shot out into the air, desperate to get away from the scene.
