Just a dream

Harmøny...
-----------------------

A bright light beat down on my soft white fur. This figure stood above me. It seemed like a mare, but I could get a good look. She had long wavy hair and the most beautiful wings. She had the most gentle smile. Her eyes... I couldn't see them. I felt so warm and protected around her. But who exactly was her? Who was I looking up too? Just then she opened her mouth.

"Harmony"

That's all she said.

That's all she ever said...

------------------------------------------

I awoke from my sleep with with a cry. "Who are you!" I blinked looking at the surrounding area. "Oh it was just dream." The same dream I've been having for months now. Why won't it go away? It torments me every time, leaving me helpless and unanswered. I need to know who that lady is. Perhaps I should go see a dream psychologist...

I got out of bed to be greeted by the rising sun out my window. "Celestia sure is one heck of an artist." I opened the window to let some fresh air in then proceeded to make breakfast.

'A hay sandwich sounds good right about now.' I say to myself. As I'm sitting down munching away at my sandwich, I get a sudden feeling someone is watching me. I hate that feeling. I feel so awkward.

I looked around my room to see if anyone was there, nope. I'm all alone. Then why do I have this chill down my spine? Weird... I shrugged it off and thought I was probably just really cold. 'In the middle of summer?' I thought. Okay something is defiantly wrong here. Why am I obsessing over this? 'It's not a big deal, you checked to see if anyone was around and nothing. Then why am I feeling this way??'

"UGH, I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE! SO MANY QUESTIONS AND NO ANSWERS! IS THERE NO ONE THAT CAN TELL ME WHATS GOING ON?!" I slammed my hoofs on the table causing a glass to fall over and onto the floor.

Suddenly a blue light appears at my window.

"Wha- What is that?!" I shout. I guess I scared it cause it flew right into the forest!

"Hey wait come back!" I ran out my front door to try and catch it, but it got away. "Darn it. What was that thing? Maybe I just imagined it. I've been having some strange dream lately so wouldn't be surprising. Oh well." I headed back inside to finish my breakfast.

When I finally finished breakfast I laid on my bed thinking about what just happened. The blue thing just wouldn't get off my mind! It was driving me crazy. Not to mention the dream on top of that. Ugh so many questions to answer and no one to answer them.

I closed my eyes to try and take a nap and get my mind off of everything.

"Nope I can't do this, I'm going out."

I got out of bed and galloped out the door.

------------------------------------------

"I just don't understand any of it. It never really used to bother me that much, but it's every night now. And why that dream? What does it even mean?!"

"That's what I'm here to help with miss."

The psychologist was a nice looking lady. She had her violet hair tucked up in a bun, a pin through it. Her lavender coat sparkled in the sunlight and her aqua eyes hidden behind gold spectacles were fixed on me. She was kinda pretty for a mare.

"So if I'm correct, you've been having this strange reoccurring dream lately and you have no clue what it means."

"Yes, that's correct."

"Well miss, theoretically, recurrent dreams are assumed to reveal the presence of unresolved conflicts or stressors in an individuals life. This means that recurrent dreams are usually accompanied by negative content."

"Oh no that doesn't sound good."

"However, recurrent dreams are quite common and are often triggered by a certain life situation. Such dreams may be highlighting a personal weakness. Perhaps, fear, anxiety, or your inability to cope with something in your life - past or present. Most dreams contain messages that serve to teach you something about yourself. Unfortunately, soon after you wake up, you tend to quickly forget what you dreamt about. The message in recurring dreams may be so important and/or powerful that it refuses to go away. The frequent repetition of such dreams forces you to pay attention and confront the dream. It's desperately trying to tell you something. In short miss, the repetitive pattern in your dream might reveal some of the most valuable information about yourself. It may point to a conflict, situation or matter in your life that remains unsolved or unsettled. Some urgent underling message in your unconscious that demands to be understood."

"Okay so what you're saying is that my dream might be trying to tell me something? But how am I supposed to find out what it wants me to know?"

"Everyone's dreams has a different and unique way of pouring out information to the individual. Listen to your dream and try to make sense of it. Perhaps this mysterious lady is a pony you've already met before in your lifetime. You and her may have some unsettled conflict or situation that needs to be fixed."

"I don't remember ever meeting a pony like that. Oh this is just to much for my brain to handle."

I rub my hoofs on the side of head to try to ease the aching sensation. My dream must really want me to know something important. What it could be? I just want to know to get this over with!

"Are you alright miss?"

"Huh? Oh, not really. All this dream nonsense is driving me crazy and I want it to stop. I wish she would just tell me the message from in my dream. It sure would be a lot easier to understand."

"It's not nonsense. Plus of course it's difficult to understand. Dreams are like mixed up movies of things an individual has seen, heard or loved before. That's why some dreams seem like utter nonsense when they're really not."

I sighed. "I think I'll be fine miss. I'm just trying to rap my head around all of this."

"It's alright miss Harmony. You seem stressed out. Why don't you go home or to the spa and take it easy. Remember, if you ever need help with your dreams I'm here for you and more then glad to help you." She gave me a soft smile which of course caused me to return the smile.

"Thank you so much for listening, I'm glad I got that off my chest."

"No problem at all, have a great day!"

"You too, good bye!"

I started to walk out the door, but I feel like I'm forgetting something. All this talking about my dream has been my main priority that I've blocked out everything else. Although I can't help but notice all the beautiful decor in her little workspace. Bookshelves stocked with books upon books all about dreams. A dark wooden table craved with ponies as the legs to make it look like they're holding it up. Plus a loving blue lamp giving off just the most beautiful glow of- wait a minute.

I ran back to the room where I just talking to the mare and stopped at the doorway.

"Wait miss!"

She turned around. "Um, yes?"

"What do you know about glowing blue rays of light?"
