	“Come on girls, we have at best fifteen minutes left before we have to get back to the stage,” Twilight said trying to organize the group. The group stood in the parking lot to practice their next song for the showcase.
“Well if ‘somebody’ would stop trying to hog the spotlight, then we would have no problem,” Rarity replied glaring at Rainbow.
“Oh come on, somebody has to pick up the slack for my band,” Rainbow stated with a wide smile.
“Our band!” Everyone yelled at Rainbow.
“Whatever,” Rainbow said while adjusting her guitar nonchalantly.
“Alright, from the top everyone!” Twilight said trying to keep hopeful.
“Wait where’s Pinkie and Fluttershy?” Applejack asked looking around the lot.
“Great now we lost them too, some band you have here,” Rarity exclaimed looking over at Rainbow.
Discord stepped into the middle of the group. “Stop it, can’t you see you're tearing us apart!” He yelled pulling Twilight into a bear hug and crying. “This is the worst vacation ever!” He added blowing his nose on Twilights sleeve.
Twilight pushed Discord off of her, and looked at her sleeve in disgust.
Fluttershy came running past crying her eyes out and ran into the school.
“Wait Fluttershy, I didn’t mean it!” Pinkie yelled after her running up to the rest of the group.
“What happened?” Twilight asked.
“I wanted to talk to her about what happened, and we got into an argument,” Pinkie said trying not to break down into tears. “I screwed up Twilight,” she added and hugged Twilight.
“Why did she go into the school?” Applejack asked Pinkie while trying to pull Pinkie off of a now suffocating Twilight.
“Probably to talk to Sunset, she normally goes to her now when she has a problem,” Pinkie said clutching Twilight tighter.
“Pinkie… can’t… breathe,” Twilight managed trying to gasp for breath.
Sorry Twi,” Pinkie said and released her grip and started hugging Applejack instead. 
Twilight looked towards the school, we need Fluttershy back. “I’ll be right back,” she said to the now bickering group. Twilight made her way towards the school knowing just where to go to find Fluttershy.

Sunset kept an eye on the proceedings of the showcase, she had to admit that the Dazzlings song was impressive but that doesn’t change the facts, she was going to make the Sirens pay for what they’ve done… And what they’ve threatened to do. She heard the door swing open and Fluttershy came rushing through balling her eyes out and threw herself into Sunset’s arms. “What’s wrong, Fluttershy?” Sunset asked immediately returning the embrace.
“Me and Pinkie got into a fight,” Fluttershy replied burying her head in Sunset’s shoulder.
“Was it about that light thing?” Sunset asked knowing that was exactly what it was.
“Mhm, it started out with her apologizing and then I don’t know who did what first but we started yelling at eachother and I just can’t stand being around her right now,” Fluttershy balled out clutching Sunset’s jacket tightly.
“Give it time, Fluttershy you guys can work things out, I know it,” Sunset replied stroking her hair softly.
Twilight ran through the now open door and saw the display before her. “Fluttershy there you are,” she exclaimed still trying to catch her breath.
“Not right now Twilight,” Sunset said gesturing towards Fluttershy who was still crying. 
“I’m sorry but we don’t have time, we’re up next and everybody else will be here any minute,” Twilight said.
Sunset looked at Fluttershy and then back to Twilight and nodded reluctantly. She slowly raised Fluttershy so she was sitting next to her. “I need you to be strong for me Fluttershy, just ignore Pinkie for now and play as good as you can,” Sunset stated in an almost motherly tone towards Fluttershy.
Fluttershy nodded weakly and forced a smile while wiping her tears away. “Alright, I can do this!” She said as loudly as she could.
Sunset put a hand on Fluttershy’s shoulder and gave her a reassuring smile. Sunset then got up and went over to Twilight and embraced her in a hug. 
“What’s wrong?” Twilight asked returning the hug.
“Nothing, it’s just that I hate being apart. We spent what feels like an eternity apart and I now that you're here I want to spend as much time as possible with you,” Sunset half lied hiding her true concern for her girlfriends safety.
“Once this whole Siren business is over we’ll be able to spend as much time together as we want,” Twilight replied with a smile, Sunset felt slightly calmer and her grip grew slightly tighter.
“I’d like that, I’d like that a lot,” Sunset said gripping Twilights shirt now.
“Are you sure that’s not all this is about, it seems like there’s more to it than that?” Twilight asked her girlfriend while pulling Sunset back so she could look her in the eyes.
Sunset fought with her mind over whether or not she should tell Twilight. No she has enough on her mind, Sunset thought to herself. “No, I just want this entire ordeal with the sirens to be over already,” Sunset half lied again not being able to look Twilight in the eyes.
Twilight started to notice that Sunset was holding back something but didn’t want to voice her opinion, if she wanted to say something she would, Twilight thought to herself. “Alright, if you ever need to talk though I’ll always be here for you,” Twilight said and kissed her girlfriend on the cheek.
Sunset then turned towards Twilight and smiled at her as their eyes met. “Of course I know that, silly filly,” Sunset stated and closed in for a kiss to Twilight’s lips. Their lips connected and they held the kiss for a short while.
When they parted Twilight dawned in realization. “I could use that as your nickname,” Twilight squealed ecstatically.
“What?” Sunset asked in confusion.
“‘Silly filly,’” Twilight replied in delight.
“Not happening,” Sunset replied with a stern look towards Twilight now.
“Oh come on,” Twilight complained trying to put on her best puppy dog eyes.
“Nope,” Sunset said simply.
The both of them turned when they heard giggling. It was Fluttershy. “You two are adorable, I see now why you two are together,” Fluttershy said between giggles.
Sunset smiled at this and relaxed back into Twilight’s arms. “Twilight, there’s something I need to tell you something…” Sunset started to tell Twilight      
Rainbow and the rest of the girls came barging in backstage still bickering about what had happened. The group stopped when they saw the couple in the corner and Fluttershy still giggling beside the entrance curtain.
“Are we interrupting anything?” Rainbow asked.
“Kind of,” was Sunset’s simple response as she crossed her arms impatiently.
“Well too bad, we’re on next,” Rainbow stated and started tuning her guitar.
“Next up: the Rainbooms,” Luna said over the intercom.
“See what I mean,” Rainbow said and the girls filed out onto the stage apart from Twilight, Sunset and Fluttershy.
“You can do this Fluttershy!” Sunset yelled to Fluttershy in an encouraging tone. 
Fluttershy took a deep breath and suddenly her face turned serious and she stepped onto the stage with confidence.
“I’ll tell you everything when you get back, baby,” Sunset assured Twilight as they got up and Sunset adjusted Twilight’s shirt.
“Whatever it is, we’ll get through it, Sunset,” Twilight replied and placed a firm kiss on Sunset’s lips. When she pulled back and smiled at Sunset. “Love you,” she added and walked towards the stage.
“Love you too,” Sunset replied and held her arm nervously.
“Man tough room,” Discord said walking up beside Sunset. “You know this is going to end badly right?” He added eyeing Sunset closely.
“Shut up Discord,” Sunset said half-heartedly.
“Ooh someone's feisty!” Discord exclaimed and put his finger to his palm and made a sizzling noise. “It’s just not the same,” he cried out in a defeated tone, sighed and drooped down. He then walked over and sat down on an equipment box.
Sunset watched her girlfriend singing their latest song and she felt happy that her girl had such a beautiful voice. Then she looked over to see Flash Sentry in the crowd and she remembered what the Sirens said.
Or playing third-wheel to oh what was her name, Twilight and Flash Sentry? Yes that was it, that bitch Adagio had said.
Sunsets hands instinctively tightened on the curtain that she peered around and tears stung her eyes. She’s mine, I’m not letting her go without a fight. The night they shared at Pinkie’s reassured her of that, and a smile played across her lips. Take that, Flash. As for the Sirens Sunsets thoughts were filled with only rage towards them, she would make them pay for all they’ve done, or at least the Rainbooms would... That’s when her posture drooped in sadness. It’s not my place to question this, I haven’t earned that right. It would be great to be out there with them though, but who wants a she-demon with them. Sunset came back into reality as the song ended, she took a deep breath as her friends approached backstage. Now or never.
