Years ago...2 fillies were in one bedroom, doing a school science project...

"I think I'm a better magic user Twilight." Said Filly Moondancer.

"Oh please Moondancer, everypony knows I'm the better magic user." Scoffed Filly Twi.

"Hah! Spike? Crawl to the one you think is better." Moondancer said to the infant dragon on the blanket.

"Moondancer, *giggle* you know babies his age can't understand verbal speech."

"Yeah, I was just trying to be funny."

"I guess, but I want to prove to you somehow, that I am stronger than you in magic!"

"How about this? We make a promise, once we become adults, we have a magic duel & give it everything the both us have learned over the years!"

"Brilliant idea, feel like having this showdown at our old training grounds?"

"Yeah!"

Then Twilight & Moondancer agreed to this, making a strong promise that cannot be broken! Even if they change, they will never forget!

Years later...

Twilight & Moondancer were in their rooms one night. Twilight was reading a book, Moondancer was having slumber party, but that's when...

"*Gasp!*"

"What is it Twilight?" Spike asked.

"What's wrong Moondancer?" Asked Minuette.

"I just remembered something very important Spike!"

"Girls, I just suddenly remembered something important!"

"Something important?" Asked Moondancer's sister.

"What is it?" Asked Spike.

"An important childhood promise me & Moondancer/Twilight Sparkle made." They both answered.

Then the both of them looked up at Luna's moon, with determination in both of their eyes.

"(It's time Twilight! Let's rumble!)"

"(I'm ready for our showdown Moondancer! You better bring your A-game!)"
