The minutes turned into hours and Discord still couldn't sleep. He decided to get up and take a stroll inside the Everfree Forest, to refresh his mind. Never on his years, he have felt this worry. Of course, he was worried about his friends when Tirek captured them and all the stuff, but this time, this case was personal. It was about him and his origins.
To be honest, he was never really interested in his past life because he was to busy trying to take over Equestria, and neither now a cause of this "friendship thing", but now that he is learning more about this, he was curious about his past, even now thanks for those dreams and that weird soup.
Could it be true? That he had a family? That he lived in an entire kingdom of his kind? That maybe...just maybe... they remember him? Well, no one would notice a lost little draconequus in an entire land of them, but maybe... his parents would.
"All this time I thought I belong in Equestria, but it appears that there's another place where I could have a real family." said Discord with hope. He wasn't the "family" type, but it was because he never got one. Only his friends, but he wanted to know how it was to be with other draconequuses. But he also liked to be with his friends, even now that they truly accepted him for who he was. He needed to know where he belong.
He keep walking, not in the mood for floating, and found a lake. He started to throw some rocks in it.
I have never dreamed
a place to call home
now this unusual dream
gave me a spark of hope.
Maybe in that place
there's someone missing me
and my heart's trying to tell me
that's the place i'm meant to be!
Discord started to walk around the lake and to climb a big tree near to him. He has to admit, Luna made a great job with the stars that night.
How will I find out
my real past?
Should I go alone?

After his small song, Discord decides to walk in the streets of Ponyville, looking families sleeping but happy and together. A few minutes later, he decided to go to Sugar Cube Corner, maybe Pinkie Pie was up, but even if she wasn't he will take a cupcake anyway.
Before, he could get inside, a little light caught his attention. He get inside and in silent, he watched how a mare, a stallion and two little foals were getting hot near the fire of their chimney, and reading stories for the little ones; happy and full of love. They were The Cakes.
In that minute, something in Discord's chest light up. Something was missing. Now he understand friendship, he could understand the importance of a family too. He didn't know it before, but he did want a family.
He has finally found friends, why can't he try to found his origins. He just had to do it! He always knew that he didn't belong in Equestria, but his friends have finally accepted him. But now, with their help, he could found his family!
It was settle! He first have to be sure where to look. He will tell his friends tomorrow.

Discord started to walk, because he was thinking of what he was going to do, but then he heard something, behind the trees. He turned to see what was but nothing was there. He walked again and, again, he heard something in the trees.
"Hello...?" He asked.
The noise become louder, and was getting closer.
"I'm not afraid of you!" shouted Discord, before standing in four legs. "Show yourself!"
After a few seconds, there was Princess Luna, walking in front to be seen.
"Hello Discord." She said.
"Uff... Luna. You worried me for a second." said Discord.
"I thought you just said you wasn't afraid of me."
"Well, I didn't know it was you and..." paused Discord. "Wait... what are you doing here anyway? I mean, I know it's night already but... were you following me?"
"Actually, I was on my way to your 'thinking tree' to inform you something, but then I saw you walking through the woods." said Luna. "May I ask why?"
Discord stand there, thinking of what to say, rubbing his back. Then he said "I just... was... um... walking?"
Luna raised an eyebrow, and then smiled. "I think you want to say 'singing'?"
Discord's eyes turned wide, and then frown showing his teeth. "You... mean... you... saw... me... SINGING!!!"
Luna smiled a little more. "Yes, but you have to know I didn't mean to. I was just looking for your tree but then I heard your voice, and if I'm not wrong, I could be sure you're still worried about where you belong."
Discord crossed his arms and answered. "No. You are wrong because I know where i belong." he rubbed the back of his neck. "Well, sort of. But don't change the idea. What is it that you have to inform me about?"
Luna turned around, with a serious face, and then faced Discord with a worried look.
"What is it?" asked Discord.
"My sister and I found some 'chaotic' situations going on in the far lands of Equestria, like in the boarder of our kingdom. It appears that a 'creature' was having fun in there."
Discord looked at Luna with his mouth open, and then shouted. "Seriously!?!?! AFTER THE HOLE TIREK ACCIDENT, AFTER A HOLE YEAR AND AFTER I ASKED YOU FOR HELP, YOU STILL THINK THAT...!!!!!"
Luna quiet him putting her hoof in his mouth.
"I never said it was you, Discord." said Luna.
"Oh..." said Discord after Luna removed her hoof. "Then, if it wasn't me and you're saying that were chaotic powers like mine, then what do you mean?"
Luna look at him with a worried face and then answered.
"My guards of the night went to see what was going on and they told me that it wasn't you who was doing all that. It appears that it was... another draconequus."
