Prologue
I have seen a lot in my time. I'm not even sure where to begin, really. I've lived for so long that I'm not even sure what year it is or how long I've existed. Who am I? No one really. I do not have a mortal name. I've traveled to many different places and countless worlds. Now, you might be wondering why, or you might not. Either way, I'm going to tell you as long as you continue to read my words. You see, I'm an immortal being. Mostly just a spirit, but I do, on occasion, take physical form when I wish. There are many beings like myself, so you can't properly call me a god, and nor am I all-powerful. If anything, I just travel from place to place seeking out those who need me most. Those beings who live indescribably long lives. I befriend them and care for their mental and spiritual well-being. I have many of these such friends. So many, in fact that I could waste away your short life just naming them all. But, what I'm about to share with you is a tale or three about some very special friends of mine. They are regal and beautiful beings from another realm you know as "Equestria". I will show you just what these timeless beings go through and how I try to help them. Even the immortals need companions, especially them. They suffer from the worst kinds of loneliness and I have seen more than my fair share of "Immortals" lose their minds from the loss of their friends over so much time.
