its was an average day in ponyville, nice weather, warm sun - the pegasus were doing a good job today.
the town square near sugarcube corner was slightly packed as FlutterShy slowly wondered through the crowds on her daily trip to the market place
for the goods that she usually got for her beloved bunny - Angel. the clear sky and possitive attitude in the town soon changed as a thunderous boom echoed through the sky
and shook the ground below... it wasnt long before ponies and birds were scampering everywhere. FlutterShy darted across the square in a panic and barged through the doors
of sugarcube corner and sat looking out the window. there was no rainbow so it obviously wasnt Dash's rainbowboom.
Pinkie Pie hopped from out behind the counter as the rumble stopped. she was usually hyper but this had scared her. she trembled almost as much as
poor FlutterShy whom had he eyes glued onto the sky trying to see if anything was going to happen - but nothing did.. soon ponies began to edge out of their hiding places all
staring up at the sky with wonder before going back to the usuall routines. "what'cha think that was!?" Pinkie bounced around her worried friend as if it were now a normal day.
unfortunatly the creamy/yellow pegasus didnt reply so the pink one hopped away to resume taking orders and baking cupcakes..
Up in the sky however, nothing was okay. a wormhole had opened but due to its transparentness and colour - seemed invisable to everyone who
looked at the sky.
"Ahhhh~~" came the boyish shout from a blue hedgehog whom was falling down at quite an alarming rate. crystals of different colours surrounded him as he plummeted down
towards the ground. the hedgehog attempted to grab what he could but the result just moved them further away before he hit a solid-seeming cloud
that made him bounce and then continue falling from a not so high drop. unfortunatly he met the ground with darkness as he growned....
the events of the day played out as they usually would in ponyville, Derpy collected her mail and began her route along the streets towards her end, which would be fluttershy's cottage.
along the way however, Derpy stopped and stared at the ground with wonder at a red gem that lay before her. it looked so beautiful - something that
a pony such as herself would hardly get the chance of seeing if they were in a museum or on display somewhere... due to her.. clumsyness.
It glistened in the sun of the day.. thoughts went trough Derpy's mine before she looked around to see if anyone was watching - then picked it up and
placed it in her mail bag secretivly and continued her journey. "d'jee.. thats a pretty gem...where did it come from though?..." she pondered the thought as her path lead into the forest and towards
the familar cottage where the kindest pony in equestria had returned to her darling bunny and woodland freinds.
back in the open, layed the blue hedgehog from the sky. he was gradually re-gaining conciousness as he got onto his knees and looked up to see a dirt parth leading to a very close town. above
him was a cloud house, without a doubt the one he hit before falling to the floor. "ughhh..my head.. where am- where are the EMERALDS!?" he franticly looked around the area, now standing up and in
panic mode he walked around the area but didnt stay too far. "hyng~" he grabbed his knee and bend over in pain.. didnt look like running would be an option for today, or where ever the hell he had ended up
but non the less he would be as ditermine as ever.
glistening next to the lake that was near by was a green gem, it looked so pretty just laying there but Sonic knew what is was and where it should be. "ah". he walked over to it and kicked it into the air
before grabbing it and making the emerald disappear into thin air. "one down.... six to go...". Sonic knelt down at the edge of the water and peered in to see some fish but more importantly, himself. Scratches and cuts
were all over his body surrounded by bruises.. "awh, Sonic-ol'pal... you look a state". he closed his eyes before standing up and looking over to a cluster of buildings in the distance and began heading that way slowly.
Sonic stopped on the boarderline to look at a plank of wood sticking out of the grass on two boards for support. the hedgehog coughed and proceeded to read aloud to himself. "Welcome to PonyVille, a happy town
full of wonderful things. try apple achers for some golden delicious or sugarcube corner for the best treats around. population: 2050". Sonic sighed as he kicked the dirt. it wasnt the first time he ended up in another
world due to actions that wasnt his own.
After afew minutes of standing around wondering where he was and where the chaos emeralds had gone - he heard a voice behind him as hoove steps got closer and closer. "howdey stranger.." the voice sounded southen
.. as if it was texen. The blue hedgehog turned around to see a pony, near enough his height with long blonde hair in a pony tail, an orange coat of fur and a cowgirl's hat on her head. Sonic stared at her nervously before
giving a reply. "uh..hey..im not really from around here.." His eyes broke away from the pony to look down at the ground. usually he'd be quite calm and confident about himself but being in this world made him change
his atittude abit. The orange pony came closer to him and tilted her head in a curious manner. "you a'nt nothing i seen before... you from this world? or the evertree forest? .. prehaps maybe from miles--". the hedgehog cut her
short as he covered her muzzle with his hand. "im not from this world, okay? i come from another world - a freak accident sent me here.. i need help".
The orange pony looked down at the gravel pathway as she thought about it and returned her vision to the blue hedgehog infront of her. He was very strange. standing on two legs wearing some material garments over his feet
and hands aswell as having animal ears and spikes. "so what are you?..." Apple Jack inquired as she stepped around him, just as nervous as he was.. but sorrowful that he didnt belong here. Sonic spoke back a short while after
"im my worlds rendition of a hedgehog...obviously quite different to what you know as a hedgehog...". he smirked slightly but still not overly confident.
A couple of minutes passed and a convosation between the two had started, sonic seemed to become abit more relaxed after Apple Jack had explained the world of Equestria to him.. and soon enough it ended on a good note with the
questions. "whats your name?" both species said at the same time before stuttering and taking turns. "im Apple Jack". "Im Sonic..".
Sonic still had alot of things he wanted to ask but knew they wouldnt have the answers he wanted.
"Awh - dont worry darling..im sure we can all help you find what you need.. but im running late - i can take you to town if you want, hop on". Apple Jack insisted that she carry Sonic the distance since his knee had now bruised up
and other bodily parts ached.. with a jump he ended up on her back and held tight as AJ began trotting forwards. The trip didnt take all that long, just afew minutes. But as more Ponies and Stallions came into view, he and AJ both
noticed that some were staring at the stranger who was riding the orange work-pony.
Ponyville town square was bustling with the morning shoppers at the market and in the shops themselves. Sonic kept his eyes on Apple Jacks' mane while they travelled through untill reaching SugerCube corner only to be greated
by a very pink, very hyperactive pony with pink curling hair. "Apple Jack! what can i do for you today, a party? oh ! - you have a friend!? kinda... wierd looking to me...if you ask me - which u havent!". she began bouncing around
the pair before subsiding and standing still as AJ explained.
"ohhh - so he's from another world!?" Pinkie was extaticly happy about seeing the new visitor that she could backflips, luckily for everyone, she didnt but did continue to talk lots. - Sonic had a feeling he's be in this new world for awhile
but didnt let that bother him..
