Issue #4: The Twins (Part 1)
Captain America drank his coffee, sitting with the Avengers team, which was made of Captain America, Iron-Man, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Twilight Sparkle, and Barb. If you're wonder where Thor is, he left back for Asgard, citing something going on there.
"So...what do we do now?" Captain Marvel asked.
"I wouldn't know..." Hawkeye sighed bored as Princess Luna entered with two S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents with files.
"My Avengers, I have a new mission for you all" Princess Luna announced to the Avengers, "We've got reports of two super-powered beings in Sokovia, along with reports of Hydra returning"
"Hydra returning? How?" Black Widow questioned.
"We don't know..." Princess Luna answered.
"Alright, Avengers Assemble!" Twilight Sparkle called out as the Avengers began to board a Quinjet, while Iron-Man and Captain Marvel flew besides the ship.
"Sokovia, where's that?" Twilight Sparkle asked the group.
"It's a country right next to Latveria" Captain America answered, "I've had some missions there during World War II"
"My sources have told me that there used to be a Hydra base in the center of the country, so that they could control everything in the country" Black Widow informed the group.
"Ah, Sokovia...skiing, ice-skating, snow-shoeing, drinking hot chocolate with dad..." Iron-Man reminisced, "Good times, good times..."
"I did fly over Sokovia once, before I was Captain Marvel" Captain Marvel told the Avengers, "I was testing out a new stealth-bomber model"
"So do we know anything about these two meta humans?" Twilight Sparkle questioned.
"Well, we know that their names are Wanda and Pietro Maximoff" Barb answered, "Wanda Maximoff has chaos magic and probability, and Pietro Maximoff has super-speed"
"My sources have told me that they were experimented on by Hydra, which gave them their powers" Black Widow informed the Avengers.
"Well, they've been trying to make a super-solider ever since Abraham Erskine joined on our side" Captain America added.
"Interesting..." Hawkeye smiled, "I think they'd make good Avengers members"
As they landed near Sokovia, the Avengers landed and walked towards the abandoned Hydra base.
"Barb, can you guard the Quinjet?" Captain America asked Barb.
"Sure!" Barb cheerfully answered as she closed up the Quinjet. Black Widow went ahead and mapped out a path that strays away from Sokovia to not be seen.
"I've never liked sneaking around..." Captain America stated as they tried to avoid being spotted, until they reached the abandoned base, which had started to be reclaimed by nature, as plants were being to grow all over it and birds began to nest inside of it.
"This is totally not ominous..." Iron-Man sarcastically remarked as they sneaked around the abandoned base.
Suddenly, a super-fast streak of light burst past the Avengers, knocking a few of them over!
"What the heck was that?!" Hawkeye exclaimed as he pulled out his bow and arrow.
"Get out of here!" A feminine voice called out as the streak of light slammed the rest of the Avengers down.
"Who are you?" Black Widow asked as a teenage girl in a pink costume stood next to a man in a blue and white costume appeared.
"My name is Wanda Maximoff, but you can call me the Scarlet Witch" Scarlet Witch introduced herself to the Avengers.
"And my name is Pietro Maximoff, but you will call me Quicksilver" Quicksilver introduced himself to the Avengers, "Are you with Baron Zemo?!?
"What's a Baron Zemo?" Twilight Sparkle asked confused.
"Baron Zemo, he helped finance Tirek during World War II" Captain America informed Twilight Sparkle.
"He's also the one responsible for the death of Bucky Barnes" Captain Marvel added
"So are you with them?" Quicksilver questioned the Avengers as Scarlet Witch put a hand on her shoulder.
"I've read their minds, and they are on our side" Scarlet Witch insisted, "They've come to stop Baron Zemo and Hydra"
"Alright sister, we'll trust these costumed people...for now..." Quicksilver smiled.
"So...where is Baron Zemo?" Captain Marvel asked Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.
"Baron Zemo and his paramilitary forces have taken the capitol building" Scarlet Witch informed the group.
"Alright, then let's help the Sokovians take back Sokovia!" Twilight Sparkle told the group, "Avengers Assemble!"
At the Sokovian Capitol, Baron Helmut Zemo was sitting on his throne of money when the alarms went off.
"What the heck is that?" Baron Helmut Zemo exclaimed at his guards.
"Sir, the Avengers have arrived" The Guard informed Baron Helmut Zemo.
"Are my villains ready?" Baron Zemo asked as the fives villains that he hired walked through the door.
The villains that Baron Zemo hired were Whirlwind, a villain who could create strong gusts of wind, The Melter, a villain who had a laser-acid ray shooter on his arm, Moonstone, a villainess who had flight and cosmic blasts, Radioactive Man, a villain made of radiation, and the Black Knight, a villain who wears black knight-armor and had a magic sword.
"Sir, we art ready to fight!" The Black Knight exclaimed excitedly as he raised his sword.
"Also, we found this little thing!" Moonstone smiled as she threw a tied-up Barb on the ground.
"Excellent work, Moonstone" Baron Helmut Zemo congratulated Moonstone.
"Hey, it was me who tired her up!" Whirlwind snarled at Moonstone.
"Don't make me laugh!" Moonstone laughed as she knocked over Whirlwind.
"Stop it! Your job is to stop the Avengers from reaching me, understood?!" Baron Helmut Zemo commanded the group, "Now go, my Masters of Evil! Destroy the Avengers!"
