Chapter: One. An ingredient too much.

The time was late midnight. Spike was sleeping away in his bed, dreaming away (needless to say, about Rarity). So, Spike was sitting on a throne (were seeing his dream now). Laying down right beside him, on his lap, was the dashing and beautiful Rarity, dressed in gold and red silk, cuddling up against him. “Oh Spike, I had NO IDEA you were SOOOO HANDSOME!” Rarity exclaimed as stroked Spike’s gigantic muscles.

Spike uttered a flattered laugh and then said in a hardy (MANLY) voice, “Oh, Rarity, I thank you for you compliment. Although, no creature compares to the beauty…of YOU.” Rarity had a sharp chill run down her spine. A chill…of ecstasy.

“OOOOH SPIKE!” Rarity moaned, “KISS ME!” Spike smiled, and carried Rarity off the throne and pulled her to his side, holding her hoof firmly. Spike then dipped Rarity, tango style. Then, he slowly leaned in for a kiss. Rarity’s heart pounded, her face blushed. Spike was blazing with excitement. As their lips slowly began to meet, and finally reach the tip of a good old fashioned smooch. Suddenly: GRRRRUMMMMBLE!

-WAKE UP SPIKE! DREAMS OVER!

-"W-What!? AAAAHH!"

Spike awoke quickly and in panic. “What was that?” Spike said to himself. He heard it again. GRRRRUMMMMBLE! It wasn’t long before Spike realized it was his belly. “Oh, guess I’m hungry.” Spike walked down to the kitchen hoping there were ingredients to make himself a peanut butter and crystal sandwich. As Spike walked inside the kitchen, he saw Princess Luna using their stove. “P-Princess Luna?” Spike said surprisingly, “What are you doing here?”

Princess Luna giggled. “I am the Princess of the Night, Spike. Its mine job to make sure all of mine subjects’ has't a valorous night catch but a wink.” Spike looked at Princess Luna with a look of confusion.

“Whuaaaaa?” Luna slapped her forehead, “I saw you were having trouble sleeping, so I’m making you something to help you out.”

“Oooh, what is it?” Spike asked.

“Moonlight Milk Tea.” Luna replied, “Its lustrous color and warm taste helps sooth and calm the mind. So you can get some sleep!” Spike was in awe.

“That sounds delicious!” Spike exclaimed, “I want to help. What can I do for you?”
Luna smiled and agreed, “Very well Spike, I’ll call out the ingredients”. And so, Spike went on adding the ingredients that Princess Luna was calling out.

“Alright Spike: Add in 3 lavender leaves.” Said Luna.

“Check, 3 lavender leaves.” Replied Spike. Luna continued.

“Now, mix in 2 Blue Mountain Flowers, and a pinch Glow Dust.”

“Done!” Spike replied. Luna smiled and named the last ingredient.

“Good, now for the last item. Some Moon Sugar.” Luna pulled out a glass jar, full of orange rocks. Spike eyeballed it.

“Oooh. What is that?” he asked.
“This is Moon Sugar.” Replied Luna, “It’s the world’s greatest gift ever. You add it in while I get us some cups.” Luna walked off, handing Spike the jar. As she went to find some cups, Spike looked at the jar.

“Hmm,” he thought, “if this is the Best Part, then I should add a good hand full.” Spike slowly opened the jar, and poured in the Moon Sugar. Just then, Luna called out to him.

“Oh, Spike, make sure you add a tiny, TINY amount. Moon Sugar is a very powerful sleep agent.” Spike turned around and forgot he was still pouring some in. By the time he noticed, ¾ of the jar was already empty.

Spike panicked, and decided to throw the rest of Moon Sugar in, with the whole jar. Luna had returned with the cups. Spike was whistling, pretending nothing had happened. Luna walked up to Spike, smiled and scooped up some of the Moonlight Milk Tea in two different cups. “Okay, here’s yours, and here’s mine.” Said Luna as she handed Spike his glass, and made a toast. “Too a Good, Night, Sleep!” exclaimed Luna, as she took a long sip from her cup. Spike bit his lip and swallowed. He knew this was going to end bad if he didn’t confess. So here he went.

“Oh, boy. *Gulp. L-Luna…I, uh? I —” Before Spike could finish, Luna took another LONG sip from her cup, interrupting him. “Okay, Princess Luna, I accidentally —” Again, Luna took another LONG sip from her cup before Spike could finish. So Spike just stood there nervously, watching Princess Luna drink away until she finished.

“Aww.” Exclaimed Luna as she wiped her mouth. “Sorry Spike, what were you trying to say?”

Spike looked at Luna for a while, then said, “Oh, nothing. Never mind.”

Luna smiled, “Well, aren’t you going to drink your cup of…” Before Luna could finish her sentence, BOOM. She knocked out and fell face first on the pot of Moonlight Milk Tea. Spike panicked and began to run around in circles.

“AAAAHHH! OH NO! I KILLED PRINCESS LUNA!!! WHAT AM I GONNA DO, WHAT AM I GONNA DO, WHAT AM I GOING TO DOOOO!!!” Suddenly, Spike heard snoring. “Oh, wait. I didn’t kill her. I just put her sleep. This is good, because I’m not a murderer, but bad because now Princess Luna can’t complete her duties. Oh, no…Princess Luna can’t COMPLETE HER DUTIES!!!!” Spike panicked again, running around in a frenzy panicking and screaming and panicking. Finally, he had an Idea. He dragged Princess Luna towards the cabinet and began banging two frying pans together. Unfortunately, the loud noise woke up Twilight. “AAGH! Spike, what in the name of Celestia are you DOING!” she demanded.

Spike was going to get it now.

“Oh, uh, hey Twilight. How goes things?” Twilight frowned and grunted at Spike very angrily. Suddenly, she noticed Princess Luna sleeping on the side of their counter. “What’s Princess Luna doing here?” Twilight asked. Spike gulped and slowly turned to Twilight. “Well…” Spike said softly.

Okay, I’m goanna be honest, this is my FIRST Fimfic, so it may not be good, and some of you don’t have the patience to listen to read a bunch of lines, so I’m goanna wrap this up. Spike told Twilight EVERYTHING. By the time he was done, Twilight had a look of shock and fear.

“Uh, Twilight? Y-You Okay? Twilight?!”

*Twitch. *Twitch. *Twitch. “Oh Spike. You’ve really done it this time.” She said slowly and angrily. “Uh, Twilight?” Spike asked soflty. Twilight turned to Spike slowly with an angry face. “Spike,” she said, “FIX! THIS!”

And thus marks the beginning of how things are about to get WORSE.

But that, is a chapter, for another day.
