Issue #2 - Iron-Man
Twilight Sparkle looked at the red and gold floppy disc labeled "Iron-Man", and then placed the floppy disc into the computer.
Tony Stark was born to Howard Stark and Maria Stark, a pair of billionaire inventors who owned a company called Stark Industries. Tony Stark was a born genius, he graduated from MIT at the young age of fifteen. However, due to unknown circumstances, Howard Stark and Maria Stark were both assassinated.
Many years post the assassination, Tony Stark took over Stark Industries, he ordered the construction Stark Tower, a large tower in the middle of Manehatten. Tony Stark also turned to War-Profiteering, selling weapons to our side during a war between us and some insurgents in Saddle Arabia.
On one fateful day, Tony Stark decided to tag along with some Equestrian soldiers to see a demonstration of his new Jericho missiles, a missile so strong that it could wipe out a whole city. Its main source of power was a tiny magnet run by magic lent by Princess Celestia herself. Along with Professor Yinsen, hie mentor in MIT, the two went out with some soldiers to a large field.
"Are you sure this will work?" The soldier asked Tony Stark.
"Absolutely, I'm the one who made it, after all." Tony Stark smiled over-confidently, not noticing the insurgent forces sneaking up on them.
"INSRUGENTS!" A soldier called out as he began to fire at them.
The Insurgents jumped from some bushes, firing at and killing the Equestrian soldiers. They then turned their guns to Tony Stark, and one threw a grenade at Tony Stark and Professor Yinsen, killing Yinsen and putting some shrapnel into Tony Stark's heart.
A few hours later, Tony Stark found himself in a cave with the Jericho missile parts. Tony Stark looked around and found a note on the cave wall, which read:
"American scum, you shall build as our all-powerful Jericho missile, which we shall unleash on America! You have thirty-six hours to complete this missile, or else you will end up like Professor Yinsen!"
"Well..." Tony Stark thought, feeling the pain of the shrapnel in the chest. He pulled the tiny core, built some parts around it, and placed it on his chest. Though it did bring great pain, Tony Stark knew that it would save his life.
A few hours later, after the initial pain faded, Tony Stark looked over the rest over the rest of the Jericho parts, and realized that he could build his ticket out of here. Tony Stark grabbed a welding-mask and a blow-torch and began to modify the outer parts of the Jericho missile into a makeshift suit of armor. He also crafted a mask made of metal, which had two eye-holes and some lines to allow for breathing. He also put the thrusters onto his arms, allowing for some kind of weaponry for this armor.
"Hmm...I still have some important parts left..." Tony Stark thought out loud, "I think I'll make a communicator..."
When the insurgents went to check on Tony Stark's progress, they were met by a blast of fire. The turned their guns to what appeared to be a man made of iron and fired, but to no avail. It was like a bee trying to destroy a fighter jet. The Insurgents ran out of the building and into the hands of the Equestrian authorities, who had listened to the communicator messages sent by Tony Stark.
"Where's Tony Stark?" Colonel James Rhodes interrogated the Insurgent Leader when Tony Stark, in the iron suit, walked up to them, taking off his mask.
"Sorry about that, I needed to make a dramatic appearance" Tony Stark smiled without a care in the world.
Tony Stark returned back to America, where spent a day inside of his research and development building a new suit. But first, Tony Stark created an A.I., which he named J.A.R.V.I.S., which stands for Just A Rather Very Intelligent System.
"Jarvis, can you bring me a drink?" Tony Stark asked, "I have a long day ahead for me"
As Tony Stark was handed his drink by a small robot, he began constructing a faster, slimmer, smaller, and more powerful suit. He made the suit look more human-sized than the first one. He also replace the thrusters with repulsor rays, allowing for a more efficient weapon. He also put small rockets on its boots, allowing for flight. After all was said and done, Tony Stark had created a great suit.
"Now, the most important part of this..." Tony Stark announced, "What color should we choose?"
"Perhaps gold?" J.A.R.V.I.S. suggested as the suit was painted gold by some painting robots.
"Seriously? I love gold, but seriously?" Iron Man giggled, "Let's add some hot-rod red!"
The painting robots then added the red on the suit, and the cherry on the sundae was a place for his arc-reactor to power the suit. It was done! Tony Stark's magnum opus was complete!
"J.A.R.V.I.S., can you think of some names?" Tony Stark asked.
"Well, due to the high amounts of iron found in the suit, I'd recommend calling it the Iron-Man suit" J.A.R.V.I.S. suggested, "And it would be Mark 02"
"That sounds...awesome!" Tony Stark cheered as he put on the Iron-Man Mark 2 suit and flew off into the sky.
He flew around the large city of Manehatten, dodging past banners and right through a sign advertising Hammer Industries. Fyling free around the city felt so liberating after being trapped in a cave for a few days. Tony Stark had gained a new lease on life and a superhero name as Iron Man!
The movie finished as the Floppy Disc came out of the computer. Twilight Sparkle put it in the watched pile and picked up the next one, which was green and labeled "The Hulk".
