Link was just hanging with Fluttershy at her Cottage, and tending to all her animal friends. Fluttershy was something that reminded him of Colin, before he became like Link. Link loved animals, and like the people of Hyrule, he would do anything to save them from any evil or other forces of darkness. At the time, he was just done taking care of an injured goat, who has a broken leg

"Easy there, big fella." Link said to it. "We're almost finished." The goat bleated to him in response. Link finished wrapping the cast around the goat's broken leg, and said to it "There, good as new. The goat came back up from sitting on the floor and bleated to him again. "You're welcome." Link replied The goat smiled and he happily went outside to do whatever he feels like doing. Meanwhile with Fluttershy herself, she was giving her animal friends some dinner this evening. As a matter of fact, she was just done with the outside part of the cottage, and decided to go back inside to feed the animals living indoors.

Link gave her a helping hand and they both smiled as they were both feeding the animals, and all the animals were very happy to have their food as well. They all really like Link a great deal, and many of them interacted with him. The reason, was probably maybe they know he has the inner wolf inside of him, or they just love visitors. It might probably be both of these answers. Link then thought if he can try talking to all of them by transforming into a wolf, like he would do with dogs, cats, birds, hawks, and other animals he can talk with in his wolf form.

"Thank you so much for coming to my cottage to help me with all my animal friends, Link." Fluttershy said to him in a very kind and soft voice.

"Of course. I love animals." Link replied with a smile. "Anything to take care of them." He patted a pig on his back, making it do a happy snort. Then he thought of something. Maybe he knows exactly where he wants to stay for a little while, at least until he can get back to Hyrule. "Hey, Fluttershy?"

"Yes, Link?"

"I think I want to stay here with you." The Hylian answered, making up his mind

Fluttershy's smiled turned into a large excited smile, showing her teeth, really wide. "Wonderful!" She exclaimed with joy.

"Well, I could stay at Applejack or Twilight if I feel like it." Link added. What he said made Fluttershy feel less excited.

"Oh." She said with a sudden frown.

"But hey, I guess I can stay here for a little while." Link said. Then Fluttershy turned into happy and excitement again. "I mean, I'm only here for a little while. Right?"

"That's true." Fluttershy said in agreement. She really hated to say that, but Link was right. Link's home is Hyrule, and he does have family and friends there. The least she can do is know him while she can. "Well, that's wonderful that you want to stay with me. Would you like any dinner?" 

"I guess." Link replied. He thought of what to eat, and made up his mind. "I think I am just going to get some food from the market, and see what they have." He answered

"Okay."

Link went out the door to Ponyville to get some food for his own dinner. Fluttershy was so happy to have someone like Link stay with her for a while, even it's only temporary and Link decides to stay with any one of her friends house.

Link was back with a small bag of food. He went to the table and took the food out of the bag, revealing a tomato, lettuce, and wheat bread. Link also pulled out some Ordon goat cheese, and sliced it up with a kitchen knife.

Together with the items, he made a sandwich for his dinner. Two of them actually. He went to the table just right outside the kitchen, and he ate them all in a few minutes and then put the plate in the sink to clean it up. Fluttershy and Link both sat on the couch and relaxed while sitting together, making themselves comfortable.

Hey, Fluttershy, do you think we should worry about this whole.... Changeling thing, or whatever you call those insect monsters?" That was another thing Link couldn't stop thinking about, those monsters he just saw in his visions from before.

"Well, I don't think we should just yet. If we would worry about it, then it would have to because Chrysalis would have declared war on us." Fluttershy answered. Then she covered her eyes in fear just thinking about that.

"Are you okay?" Link asked, concerned about her

"I... I'm fine." Fluttershy answered removing her hooves from her eyes again, becoming less scared. "The changelings can startle me, and so do a lot of things, scary things that I can think of."

Link became curious a out this. "What kind of things scare you?" He asked with concern. "Well, you don't have to tell me. I was just curious."

"No, it's quite alright." Fluttershy said to him. "I'm afraid of heights, and large grownup dragons. I really don't mind baby dragons like Spike, but those adult dragons startle me. I'm... I'm just a big coward that's afraid of everything."

Link placed his hand on her gently and he said to her "No your not. We all have things that we can be afraid of. Sure, I may be the bravest Hylian in all of Hyrule, but even I can be afraid of some things too."

"Like what?"

"Well, let's see..... Losing my friends and family, Hyrule being taken over by forces of darkness. And... To be honest.... Yeto can freak me out sometimes, too."

Fluttershy smiled.

"It's okay if there are some things you're afraid of Fluttershy, but if you want them to go away, you just have to face them. That's how it works sometimes."

"I know." Said Fluttershy

"Take Colin for example, he was very shy like you, but when he discovered his inner bravery from saving Beth from King Bulblin, he confronted his fear." Link added

"Really?"

Link nodded to her

"Amazing. I... I guess you're right. Maybe I do need to confront some of my fears." She got off her couch and stood up. "Do you think maybe you can help me one of these days when I feel like doing it?"

"No problem." Link nodded in a smile. He yawned, feeling really tired. "I think I should get some sleep." He remarked

"I think I do too." Fluttershy replied. They both laughed at her remark. She headed upstairs but before he did, she just remembered something "Oh! Should I tell my friends that you decided to sty with me?"

"Oh you don't have to worry about that. I already told them earlier this afternoon." Link replied.

"Oh, alright." Fluttershy continued going upstairs and tucked herself on. She called downstairs to Link by saying "Goodnight, Link."

"G'night, Fluttershy." Link called back to her. He transformed into his wolf form once again, and slept on an empty dog bed and was already dreaming in fifteen minutes.





It was midnight, and Link was already dreaming of something very peculiar. In his dream, he was just having a picnic with all his new friends, and they were all happily eating their lunch together. They had good conversations and good laughs. However, there was a small rumbling in the ground and Everyone stopped their talking to look around and see what was just happening.

"What was that?" Twilight said

Then, an evil laugh echoed through the air. Everypony, and Spike, became scared by it, except Rainbow Dash, who decided to stand and fight, since she is the bravest pony in Ponyville.

"Who's there?" Link said, unsheathing his Master Sword and Hylian shield, also standing his ground. Another laugh was heard through the wind. "Come out and show yourself!" Link demanded. However, it struck him when he heard that evil, villainous laugh before when he was back in Hyrule.

"Link." said a familiar voice. "We finally meet again at last."

Then the world went black, and the others, minus Link, were gone. Link then became a little scared now. "It... It can't be." Link said, about to recognize who this voice was. Then, he turned around, and there he was, the dark wizard himself. "Ganondorf?!" he exclaimed, but that was when he woke up with a fright. He looked around the room, and realized it was just a dream.

"Link, are you alright?" asked a raccoon.

"Yeah." Link said to him in reply. "I'm fine." Then he heard a clattering of footsteps coming downstairs. It had to be Fluttershy.

"What happened? Are you okay, Link?" Fluttershy asked with concern

"I'm fine, Fluttershy." Link said, scratching his ear

"What happened?"

"It was... just a little... nightmare."

"Would you like to talk about it?" Fluttershy offered

"No." Link said, laying down again in his doggy position. "I just need some sleep.

Fluttershy was still worried about him, but decided to just listen to him and hope that he will be much better tomorrow morning. She made her way up to bed again, and went back to sleep, and as did Link





The next morning, Link awoke, as did Fluttershy at the same time. Link stood up, and heard a voice talk to him. "Good morning, Link." it said to him. It was harry the large brown bear.

"Morning, Harry." Link replied to him.

"How did you sleep?" the bear asked him

Link was stunned for a second. He didn't want to really discuss his little nightmare to everyone at the moment, because he worried that they all wouldn't stop bothering him about it. "I did." he lied

The bear smiled at his response. "Good."

Link smiled back to him and transformed back into a Hylian again. Link walked out of the dog bed, and fetched himself some breakfast. "Link." said another voice. It was Fluttershy, coming back downstairs. "Is everything okay?"

"Yeah. Everything's fine." the Hylian replied. "I slept much better in my second dream last night."

"Would you like to talk about your nightmare last night?" Fluttershy asked

"Link didn't want to disappoint her, but he certainly didn't want to talk about that little dream he just had before his second one last night. "Well, It's nothing. I just... had a nightmare about Ganondorf returning."

"The evil wizard you defeated to save Hyrule?"

"Yup, but it's just a dream. I'm sure it doesn't have anything to do with the bad visions I have right now." Link said. He made himself some toast, and put the bread on a plate with some butter on it.

Fluttershy was unsure about this, but she said "alright. Well, I forgot to ask you. Me and my friends were planning on going on a picnic. Would you like to come with us a little later?"

Link smiled "You know what, that may be the thing I need to forget about the nightmare. So, why not." he replied

"Wonderful."

Link and Fluttershy were walking together in a pasture. On a small knoll, there were Twilight, Spike, and the others on a picnic mat, about to eat lunch. "Ah, Link, Fluttershy, hello." Twilight called. Link and Fluttershy said hello back to her, and they both had a seat together on the mat with all their friends.

"So guys, listen." Link said. "You don't mind If i choose to stay with Fluttershy in her cottage?"

"Of course not, sugarcube." Applejack said "We have no problem at all."

"Yes, Link darling. We are all perfectly alright with your decision." Rarity added.

"Yeah, you probably wouldn't do well in my house, because it's made of clouds, and only pegasus ponies can walk on clouds." said Rainbow. Everyone laughed at her point. 

"So Link." said Spike. "How did you manage to defeat a powerful wizard from trying to take over Hyrule with an iron fist? I mean yeah the Master Sword was magical, but how did you become the Hero of Twilight? Oh, not our Twilight of course, but i mean like that Twilight realm."

Link was silent for a moment, and he replied "it's... it's a rather long story. I would rather prefer if I would tell you later."

"Oh, please." Pinkie asked

"Yeah, let's hear it." Rainbow added.

"Alright, alright." Link said. "I was just a rancher from Ordon village. That all changed when the bulblins came to my home and kidnapped the kids and Ilia. I tried to save them, but one of them hit me in the back of my head with a club, stunning me. I went to save them and then I saw this door that led me to a part of Hyrule turned into a twilight infested place. I woke up in a cell, and I was a wolf, and then, I met Midna, a girl from the Twilight realm. I didn't know if I could trust her, because of how she looked and how she is, but she did help me get out of the cell, and we went to Princess Zelda, who was also a prisoner in her own bedroom tower. You see, the evil king of the Twilight Realm named Zant, had taken over Hyrule castle, and had many monsters with him called Shadow beasts." Link showed his friends of what the monster looked like. They all made sounds and looks of horror and disgust. "Now, I had to go to Ordon Village, as a wolf so that I can take my first weapons, the Ordon Sword and Shield, which was before the Master Sword was with me. I walked over to the Ordon spring because a voice wanted me to go to it. When I approached, a large, glowing spirit that looked like an Ordon goat called: Ordona, and it thanked me for cleansing the whole small province from the evil monsters walking on it, and said that I was the chosen one for stopping this evil. After that, we made the first province, Faron, restored to the way it was, and then I met the other light spirit named Faron. He thanked me for returning the light back to him, and I got the clothes that I am wearing now from him. Like I said, it is a rather long story, and right now, I don't feel like narrating anymore. Besides I am not very good at that."

The ponies and Spike were a little bummed by his decision, but they just decided to accept his choice.

"And besides, I am hungry. Maybe later I'll tell you all about my adventures, okay?" Link added

"Okay." everyone said to him in response happy to hear that. They all resumed eating their lunch to fill their stomachs
