Many Days later, 3 days before the invasion…
I was on the bridge.
“Alright everypony, you know the plan! Applepills, Rainbine, and Pinkis: You three are going to break into the Top Security Vault of Canterlot and steal the Element of Insanity. Scorpion and Masquerade, you two will keep the transport ready for delivery. During their escape, Infected and Inferno will make a distraction to halt the guards from stopping the transport. Once we have the Element of Insanity, we will revive Princess Brutalight and we must be ready to mobilize to help Equestria from Lightning’s Consortium. This mission is Priority One and MUST NOT FAIL!!” I explained to them.
Rainbine replied “Understood.”
“Let’s get started.”
The Team began to depart onto the Rogue Shadow and they went to Canterlot, ready to complete this priority one mission.
They arrived to their destination and began to head into position.
Some guards were protecting the entrance the entrance of the crystal caverns that lead underground where the Vault was located. Rainbine, Pinkis, and Applepills were around the corner of the houses. Rainbine made the signal and the three’s appearances changed to Rainbow, Pinkie, and Applejack. Rainbow made the signal to move forward and they did.
1 of the Guards said “Halt, Squad Commander Rainbow. Why are you here?”
Rainbine, her voice disguised as Rainbow’s voice, said “I’m here to take something out of the Vault.”
The 2nd Guard replied “You have no authority to do that.”
Pinkis replied, using Pinkie Pie’s Voice “We were told to take the object from the vault by Discord.”
The 1st Guard replied “Discord has no authority here.”
Applepills replied, using Applejack’s voice “Now lissen hyar. We need t'git into th' thet vault t'make th' extryckshun.”
The 2nd Guard replied “Well, we can’t let you do that. Come back when you have the Princesses’ or King Charming Thunder’s permission.”
Rainbine said “Oh well, don’t say we didn’t warn you.”
Before the guards knew it, Rainbine knocked them to the ground and knocked them out cold. Pinkis heads to the panel and opens the door. Applepills hands them a Holowan Mechanicals Electrostaff and they took them. They activated them and went inside the cavern. Outside, Infected was on a roof of a building, watching.
Infected said on the communicator “They are inside the cavern.”
The three began to go deep into the complex as they kept dodging and shocking guards they came across. They only knocked out guards, not killing them. Soon, they arrived to the door of the vault room and Rainbine placed the bomb and it exploded when they got into cover. They charged inside and saw a lot of things. They saw gold coins, jewels, even some relics. They went inside the place and that was when they see it. Behind it all was the Element of Insanity. It was black instead of gold, the 6 pointed star was purple and there were some purple rubies among the crown. They grabbed it and put it into the pouch they had and began to run for it.
Meanwhile with Charming, the Princesses, Discord, Meta, and Chrysalis.
Charming said “We must ready the troops to deploy and position themselves, ready to repel any ground forces.”
Meta told them “The grand army of the Phantom Consortium is massive, I think bigger than your military.”
Luna replied “We must be ready for anything. We have to contact our allies across the-“
Suddenly, Discord began to glow yellow and his eyes widen with terror.
Discord said in pure terror “Oh no…”
Celestia asked “What is it?”
Discord shouted, dead serious now “The vault is being raided! We have to stop that raiding party before they get away!”
They all gasped and Charming turned to the troops.
Charming said “Get any nearby troops and stop that party!”
Discord told the in a dead serious tone “Charming, Princesses, we have to see to this matter personally. They stole something that shouldn’t have ever been touched.”
Charming and the Princesses looked at each other. They never had seen Discord dead serious before, so this must be big for Discord to not kid around with.
A little later…
Rainbine, Pinkis, and Applepills made it to the surface, only to see an army of troops in their way out. Discord, Charming Thunder, and the Princesses in front of them.
Twilight demanded “Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, AND Applejack!? Why are you doing this?”
Rainbine replied “We are taking what we want.”
Discord demanded “Do you even know what you stole!?”
Rainbine said “This…” She pulls out the Element of Insanity from the pouch, making them all gasped “…belongs to us Discord, you didn’t have the right to take it away from the world. How does it feel Discord, seeing YOUR creation back to the surface again?”
Charming asked “What are you talking about? Discord, what is that?”
Discord said to them “The Element of Insanity, a failed creation of mine back when I was freed before being reformed later. I sealed off the bearers of those cursed elements for eternity…But how did Rainbow and those other 2 know of that element?”
Pinkis replied “Does it matter? We are taking it because it shouldn’t belong to you!”
Discord snapped his fingers but nothing happened. He was shocked.
Discord shouted, enraged “What!? You made the element immune to my magic!? HOW!?”
Applepills replied “We is not a-gonna tell yo'. Git outta th' way befo'e thin's git nasty.”
Charming said “I’m sorry girls, but you must come with us.”
Before they could move, they heard a voice.
“Fus Ro Dah!”
The mighty shout pushed them all to the ground. The three girls took their chance and began to run. They managed to get to the Rogue Shadow and so did 2 other hooded figures. The army managed to get there, only to witness as Rogue Shadow taking off and cloaking immediately. Discord roared with anger.
Discord shouted to Charming “Charming, you have to find them! They are tampering with forces beyond their control!”
Charming said to Discord, trying to reassure him “Don’t worry Discord, we will find them. Once we do, we will question them.”
Celestia replied “What doesn’t make sense is why would they steal that element? They obliviously knew what it was, then why take it?”
Discord stopped at the question. Celestia made a good point, why would they take the element? Then it struck him…What if they WEREN’T who they lead to believe.
Discord said “Because dear Celestia, I don’t think they WERE Rainbow, Pinkie, and Applejack.”
Charming asked “What do you mean? Changelings?”
Luna replied “No, they never saw the vaults before. They knew nothing of it.”
Twilight demanded “Then who!?”
Discord said, fearful “Enemies of my past…I think they were their Insanity Counterparts of those 3…”
Charming asked “Insanity Counterparts? Who were they Discord!?”
Discord told them “Rainbine Dash; Element of Cybernetics and Rainbow’s Insanity Counterpart, Pinkis Cupcake; Element of Bloodlust and Pinkie Pie’s Insanity Counterpart, and Applepills; Element of Addiction and Applejack’s Inanity Counterpart…I think the EOI have returned to Equestria…”
Rainbine and her team returned to their normal forms and arrived to the Nemesis. Darkbine had ready the Ritual of Recreation. When they returned with a hero’s welcome. Darkbine took the Element of Insanity and put it into the boiling cauldron. He cut himself and let a few blood drops into the cauldron.
Darkbine chanted “Blood of the servant, given willingly.”
He used his magic to levitate the container of Twilight’s Blood and poured it into the cauldron.
Darkbine chanted “Blood of the enemy, forcefully taken.”
The cauldron ignited with flames and Darkbine backed off.
Darkbine shouted “The Element of Insanity’s Bearer rises again!”
The cauldron began to form a figure. When the transformation ended, the figure was an Alicorn Princess. She looked a lot like Twilight, but her coat was a darker lavender to purple. Her mane and tail was dark blue with 1 dark red streak and another blood red streak. Her eyes were the same as Twilight’s eye color. Her CM was a holy cross with a 4 pointed star behind it and behind that was a container of something yellow. She opened her eyes and began to look around until she caught sight of the rest of the EOI.
The mare asked, her voice echoing like Chrysalis’ “Is that you girls?”
Demented 6 replied “Brutalight!”
They came over to her and hugged her. She hugged them back.
Brutalight asked “How am I back?”
Darkbine said “You have me, Rainbine, Pinkis, and Applepills to thank.”
She turned around and see Darkbine.
Brutalight said “Well, thank you everypony.”
“Now we got that out of the way…”
Brutalight heard me and she looks at me.
“Danny Eclipse, Son of Princess Luna and King Sombra and twin brother of Charming Thunder, Princess Brutalight.” I told her.
Brutalight said “Pleasure is all mine, Prince Danny.”
Rainbine said “It’s all thanks to him that we are back.”
“Indeed. I mean you no harm; I’m here to say that the time is almost upon us.”
Brutalight asked “What time?”
Darkbine asked “You mean when the invasion comes to invade Canterlot?”
“Indeed. Discord, I believe, has a feeling it was you 3, Rainbine. But he isn’t quite certain yet. Hopefully, he won’t think much about it.”
Brutalight asked “So, what’s going on?”
“Brutalight, war is upon us and we must ready for it.”
Darkbine said “We need a team name with all of us.”
Derpigun asked “How about the Insanity Wreckers?”
Rarifruit replied “No.”
Fluttershout asked “Chaos Bringers?”
Brutalight said “No.”
They began to think about it but I did a fake cough, grabbing their attention.
“How’s Team Insanity?” I asked them.
Rainbine said “I like that idea.”
Brutalight added “That is a good name for us now.”
“Now, Team Insanity, let us ready for a fight!”
We all cheered.
