Sisters Forever!

Journey for Thee

It was an unusual dinner at the Canterlot Castle Tuesday night at the Dining Table. Princess Celestia tried to cheer her younger sister up. "Luna, your not still on about that Ursa Major, are you? We saved all of Appleloosa! Be joyus once more," Celestia cooed.
Princess Luna shrugged. "Meh..." she mumbled, barely audible. She continued to pick at her dinner- Broccoli Vianesse Delight. Luna's favorite soup. "I guess..."
"Well, how is your soup, dear?" Celestia tried to start a conversation.
"Good. I guess," Celestia's sister replied.
"ALRIGHT, I'VE HAD ENOUGH, MOPEY!" Celestia shouted in the Royal Canterlot Voice, causing the tables to shake and shiver- barely affecting who she hoped it would frighten: Princess Luna. Celestia glared. "HOW DARE THEE SIT AT THE ROYAL SISTERS' TABLE TO EAT THINE DINNER SORROWFULLY AND NOT EVEN CARE TO SPEAK WITH US!"
"Meh..." Luna sighed, flying herself up to her chambers for a nice, well deserved slumber. She climbed into her lavender bed, underneath her galaxy-styled canopy. Her blinds were closed, and her door stood ajar, blaring in light from the hallway. As this often did bother Luna, she decided enough was enough. She shut the door closed with a cyan aura, causing the guards outside her chambers to look, and turned the lock. "AND MAKE SURE CELESTIA DOESN'T ENTER!" Luna only yelled as not to climb out of bed.

About an hour later, Luna found herself in bed, still awake. "Arghh! I can't sleep! Why? Hmm... Perhaps a warm, relaxing bubble bath will do just the trick," Luna lightened up.
Luna began to draw her bath as one of her rare batpony guards (her personal guard) knocked on her door. "Princess, you have a visitor," he reported.
"And just who," Luna said, "Is this visitor?"
"Why, your sister, Princess Celestia. What say thee, Princess?"
"No. I'm busy drawing a bath. 'Leave me alone,' is what thee shall say."
Luna went back to her bath. As it was full, Luna turned off the water with a cyan aura, put her body in the tub, and relaxed. The only noise made was an: "Ahhhhhh" from Luna. It was as if nothing could spoil her relaxation, when suddenly-
"Let me- ARGHH! in! Move! ACK!" a certain princess screamed, pushing herself inside and rushing through Luna's chambers looking for Luna. "Luna!" she cried out. The mare pushed open the bathroom doors, and Luna yelped. "Get out!" Luna said at the sudden alicorn at her door to the bathroom.
"Luna! K-king S-s-somb-bra is here..." the mare trembled.
To stop for nothing, Luna dried herself off and opened her wardrobe to get her Dark Armour of the Night and put it on. First her plate, then her boots, then her helmet. Luna at last grabbed her sword, which could only be used by herself. The mare that broke into her chambers was already in her armor. The two flew out, and landed in the Galactic Arena, where King Sombra stood, grinning and in his own armor. "Celestia and Luna," he spoke, his voice echoing, "I have waited eons for this battle. And now, here we are. Dearest Luna, how art thee?"
Luna looked offended and mad. "Just try me..." she taunted. And she flew up and blasted him with a cyan ray, that grew from a thin state to a fairly large, round state, which King Sombra dodged with ease.
"Oh Luna, I thought you'd realize something- this is just a distract. You see, my slaves are breaking the Crystal Heart as we speak. Or, as we battle," King Sombra said, pushing his right hoof against the floor of the arena and his horn gave an evil glow.
Luna could see her sister, Celestia's heart break as King Sombra showed the Crystal Empire with his aura. "You beast!" she hissed, tackling King Sombra as her pure sunlight sunk into his dark magic. "DIE." And with that, Celestia stabbed him with her sword.
And King Sombra died. "TIA! N-n-no..." Luna sighed.
"He's evil! The Crystal Empire is gone. Thanks all to him."
"No, I was... him... Now, I shall die as well."
"What? What do you mean?"
"I mean, it will not be long before I d-"
Luna had looked up at the sky: Her killer hovered in the air with a sword in his hoof. "Blood..." he said, flying down (he had a cloak on, so nopony could see him) and licked Luna's neck where he had stabbed her. He then fled the scene.
"LUNA! NO! I'LL DO SOMETHING!"
"Tia... I love you... So much..."
Celestia hugged Luna and sobbed. "Don't leave me, Luna... Don't... Please... I don't want to be alone again..."
"You won't be... Take my tiara. Inside is a diamond. Keep that as a memory of me..."
"LUNA! DON'T YOU DIE ON ME! NO! NO! NO! NO.... no... no..."
Luna had left Celestia. That was it... The end of it...

Do you know what it's like? To lose a loved one? If so, you can already imagine what the princess was going through. If not, you have literally, no idea. Forgive me if I'm being rude, but it hurts. Bad.
For a few hours, Celestia sat there, sobbing. She looked at the deep blue mare she held. The deep slice on her neck was enough of a reminder that Celestia had to kill somepony. It just got personal.

"Princess, is there something you need? Perhaps tea, or a massa-" one of Celestia's guards tried.
"No," she replied, toneless.
"Are you sure?"
"No."
"Not even a-"
"No."

A few days passed, and Celestia grew darker and darker. She began to often times forget the sun, and stare at the moon. A few of her guards noticed this, and held a secret staff meeting.
"It's time. Time has come," Night Rider said.
"Would she be able to come on such short notice?" Lollipop asked, in reply to Night Rider's suggestion.
"We may only hope. It can't hurt but to try," Night Rider confirmed. Lollipop couldn't complain, after all, Night Rider had an excellent point to the case.
"But... Blackbird?" Blue Star asked, butting into the conversation.
"Blackbird is the only one who can come! Don't you understand?" Night Rider shouted at Blue Star, and a little towards Lollipop. "Lollipop, just trust me. You are to write the letter. Once written, gallop to Top Might Peak, and stay for the night. You'll need the rest. After that, travel East and stop only once into the Nevermore Forest. Blackbird should be there. Try to arrive at Midnight, no later. After that mission is complete... Well, you know what to do."
"Yessir. I'll leave at six single morning, no later. If anypony needs me, I'll be in my chambers, writing the letter to Blackbird. Anything else needed from me?" Lollipop said. Nopony said anything, so the lavender earth pony took off.

Dear Blackbird, The Pegasus
Princess Celestia is sorrowfull due to certain events. I'm sorry to inform you this, but Princess Luna has left us about a week past. We need your help, so I travel to the Nevermore Forest to find thee. I am an earth pony, and most likely to endure this journey. My duties at the castle will be taken care of. After you recieve this letter, I am to travel to the Crystal Empire. You are to meet me there in three days. It would be wise of you to pack food/essentials for the trip. After that, I'll explain there.
P.S. Burn once read.
-Lollipop, The Earth Pony

Lollipop put away her quill and inkwell, rolled up the note, and went to bed. She blew out a warm glow of the candlelight and tucked her body inside the covers. Asleep. When Lollipop woke up the next morning, she took her black coat off her wardrobe hook and put it on. Secondly, she took her paper and put it in her messenger bag, along with a dinner roll, a wheel of cheese, and two red delicious apples. Ready for her journey, Lollipop took off, grabbing a lantern by her hoof that was set on her dresser. The lavender mare left the castle and galloped as fast as she could to Mysteveil Lake. It only took the earth pony one hour (it usually takes an average pony three) to reach her destination. She opened her leather bag and took out an apple. The crisp, juicy apple was delicious, but also filled her stomach. "For Celestia!" she called out, throwing the core of the apple away, and continued her journey to the Nevermore Forest. At nine p.m., Lollipop had reached Top Might Peak. She climbed the mountain, and gave herself a well deserved rest.
The next morning (well, not quite. It was eleven at night), she climbed down the mountain and went to Blackbird. To her surprise and shock, Blackbird was already there. Lollipop nodded and gave the deep purple mare the note and dashed off.

Blackbird knew what to do. She flew to Canterlot and locked Celestia's chamber door behind her as she talked to Celestia. "I understand, Celestia. It's hard. She was my friend too," she soothed.
"I know... Blackbird...." Celestia responded.
"Yea?"
"Will you be my sister?"
"Yes... I will."

And Celestia and Blackbird lived happily ever after!
