Girls Night Out

Girls Night Out

"Celestia? Can I ask you a question?" Princess Luna asked her older sister, Princess Celestia.

"Yes, Luna? What is it?" Celestia inquired.

Luna took a deep breath to calm herself down. "Well, we haven't spent much time together since the party Pinkie Pie threw for me when my Nightmare Moon form was defeated. So, I was wondering if... we could have a Girls Night Out. You know, go to the spa, get our manes done, then watch a movie in the screening room together."

Celestia looked at Luna sternly. "No, Luna, we cannot. You have your royal duties as the Princess of the Night, and the Royalty Meeting is tomorrow. We both need our rest."

"But, Celestia! Everyday is work, work, work! We both need breaks."

Celestia took a minute to think about it. Luna had a point; they did need a break, and they needed to spend time together. But on the other hoof, she was right about needing rest and such. She weighed her options. Maybe I should agree with Luna.

"Okay, fine. But afterwards, we are going on with our duties." Celestia ordered.

"Okay!" Luna said excitedly. She began to drag her sister out of the castle and to the local spa.

"But there's a spa in the castle!" Celestia insisted.

"Too bad, sister! We're going to have a night on the town!" Luna said, and she continued to drag her sister.

As they entered the spa, lots of ponies bowed down at the sight of them. A spa attendant approached them. "Your Highnesses, what would you like?" she questioned.

Celestia was about to speak, but her younger sister interrupted her. "We would like facials, massages, and hooficures, please,"

"Okay. 150 bits, please." the worker said.

Celestia grabbed some bits she had and gave them to the pony. "Have 200. You look tired."

"Thank you, Your Highness," the spa attendant led the royal sisters to a seat. They sat down.

One spa pony came to Celestia, and another one went to Luna. They gave each one a mud mask. After applying the cucumbers, they gave the princesses massages.

Celestia never felt so relaxed in her life. "L-l-luna, this feels soooooooo g-good," Celestia admitted, her voice shaking from the massage.

"I-i told yoooooooou," Luna smirked, and her voice shook like her sister's did.

At that moment another pony came to each of them and started filing their hooves. "Ah," Celestia whispered. She closed her eyes and relaxed. Luna did the same thing. This wasn't such a bad idea after all. the older princess thought.

"How much longer would you like your treatment, Princess?" the spa pony assisting Celestia questioned.

Inside, Celestia never wanted it to end, but they had to go to the salon like Luna suggested. "It can end right now. Thank you for your services." She tipped each one 100 bits as she and Luna left the spa.

The royal sisters walked into the salon.

"Welcome, Princesses Celestia and Luna!" a worker said.

"How much is this visit?" Luna questioned.

"Um, about 200 bits. I hope you don't mind."

Celestia pulled out 250. "Keep the change," she insisted.

"Thank you," The worker led Luna and Celestia to two salon chairs. Two other workers came to them.

"Princess Celestia, I have a perfect idea for you! Wait here while I get a sparkly hair clip." The worker rushed off.

Luna's hair stylist took one glance at Luna and started working on her. After a few minutes, Luna's hair was cut like it was when she went out of her Nightmare Moon form. She curled the ends more and handed Luna a mirror.

"Wow! This looks amazing! Too bad Alicorn hair grows back the day after they get it cut!" Luna marveled.

"It does look nice on you, Luna," Celestia complimented.

At that moment, Celestia's stylist came back. "Okay! Time to work my magic!" She pulled Celestia's hair into a high-up ponytail. Her hair waved in the ponytail. "You look beautiful, dah-ling!" she beamed, handing the princess a mirror.

"Thank you. It does look wonderful." Celestia thanked. She tipped each worker 150 bits as she and Luna headed back for the castle.

Luna and Celestia went to the screening room in their castle. They began to watch a comedy movie.

Celestia burst out laughing. "Luna, why do you do this stuff to me?"

Luna, who was too laughing, said, "Because I like it when this stuff happens!"

Eventually, the girls laughed themselves to sleep.

Celestia woke up screaming. Luna (whose mane had just grown back) jerked her head up. "What is it, sister?" she asked in horror, wondering what had happening.

"Well, first of all, you forgot to raise the moon! And, second, we're late for the Royalty Meeting!" Celestia panicked.

"But you said it started at 8:00 in the morning," Luna protested, as she began to snuggle back up in her chair.

"But it's all the way in Mareis, Prance! We were supposed to leave here at 2:00 in the morning so we could get there in time! It's 5:00 in the morning!"

Luna couldn't believe it; she forgot to raise the moon, and now everypony in Equestria was basking in the daylight when not supposed to. And Celestia and her were going to be late to the Royalty Meeting. If she hadn't been staring at the window the whole time, she never would've noticed Discord entering Canterlot.

Discord snapped his fingers and instantly, he was in an Alicorn princess costume.

"Hello, citizens of Canterlot! Since Tia and Lulu got lazy, it looks like I'm your new princess!" Discord announced.

Celestia rolled her eyes. "I need to go handle Discord. You stay here. This never would've happened if we didn't have a Girls Night Out." Celestia flew out the castle.

Luna's eyes filled with tears. Celestia was right; it was her fault. Luna, tears already spilling down her face, ran out of the screening room and into her room.

Six-year-old Celestia and four-year-old Luna sat on a cloud while Luna tried to raise the moon.

"You can do it, Lulu!" Celestia cheered as she brushed some of her all-pink hair out of her face.

Luna sighed as she sat down on the cloud. "I can't do it, Tia. How are you able to raise the sun while I can't raise the moon?"

"Well, I was able to with you, Mom, and Dad supporting me. So keep on trying, and I'll support you. I know you can do it, Lulu! You can do it!"

Luna smiled at her big sister as she kept trying. She started to do magic. "Ugh, grr!" she grunted.

"Go, Lulu! Go, Lulu!" Celestia chanted.

Luna nodded as she kept on trying. She could see the peak of the moon! Keep it up, Luna! she thought.

"Ugh!" Luna hollered and she collapsed onto the cloud. She closed her eyes. "I can't do it, Tia. It's just too hard! Go get Daddy for me."

"But, Lulu, you just did it!" Celestia gaped. "Mom, Dad, Lulu just raised the moon! Seriously, this time! Check it out! She did it! She did it! She did it!"

Luna opened her eyes. Celestia was right. She had raised the moon.

The sisters' parents, Shiny Sun (their mother) and Solar Eclipse (their father) came outside and their jaws dropped. "Did our little Lulu just raise the moon?" Solar Eclipse inquired.

"Yes, Daddy!" Luna hugged her father.

Shiny Sun joined the embrace. "We're so proud of you, Luna Shiny Eclipse!"

Celestia joined her parents and sister. "Luna rocks!"

Luna kept on crying as she remembered the memory. All she wanted to do was relive those kind of experiences with her sister. But now she had ruined everything. No wonder Tia is so angry at me. She cried harder, knowing she had just used the nickname that she used for Celestia when they were younger.

Suddenly she heard a knock on her door. "Come... in," she said through sobs.

Celestia entered the room. "Discord's gone now,"

Luna nodded and sniffled.

"Why are you crying?"

Luna hugged her sister. "Celestia, I'm so sorry!"

Celestia looked confused. "For what?"

"I made us late for the meeting and I forgot to raise the moon! All because of my idea of having a Girls Night Out! I'm so sorry, Celestia!"

Celestia immediately remembered her words. "Luna, I'm the one who should be sorry. I was just angry and took it out on you. I'll never do it again."

Luna smiled. "I forgive you, Tia,"

"And I do too, Lulu,"
