As Snap Shot and Ka-Boom explored the Academy, they met Persephone as she used her magic to set up her own house on the Academy grounds. Ka-Boom swapped out as Krypt King was sent in. That's when Snap Shot asked,
"So, you and the Golden Queen were...more than close." Krypt King remained silent as he pondered on his past until Snap Shot realized,
"I understand. It kinda hurts you even talking about her. When Eon narrated into your personal memories."
Krypt King lowered his head as he clenched his fist, "When I was in the Savage Badlands, she saw that I had potential to become a Doom Raider. That she could turn me onto her side...I pretended to be a Doom Raider as part of my disguise. But ever since then, I found myself even closer and closer to the Golden Queen as I continued on. A photo of us was also taken on her throne." He handed Snap Shot the photo as the Crocagator spoke,
"Crikey, she must've fallen in love with you afterwards." Krypt King nodded, "But since you guys attacked and I exposed myself as a Warfang Soldier never to be turned...It left her heartbroken...even vengeful."
Snap Shot frowned, "If it makes you feel better, I once had a friend who fell down the wrong path." The Knight asked, "Who?"
Snap Shot replied, "Wolfgang and I used to be friends when he was a great musician. He was to marry a beautiful princess with me as his Best Man...but on the day of the wedding. He planned to unleash his ultimate symphony to the greatest music aficionados in the world...I was there when he unintentionally discovered the musical note of pain...it drove him mad and I witnessed him change into the very werewolf he is today. When the princess found out, she no longer wanted to marry him. With his dream dead and his love now hating him, he blamed me for his misery and we fought for the first time as his rage was overpowering me. But I used my bow and arrow to get to a distance and fired on him. When I managed to get the upper hand, he said that fighting me will be a waste of his time and fled. Not before swearing that one day, I would pay for the misery that I caused him today. And so on so forth, Wolfgang joined the Doom Raiders and the Dark Armies and he was no longer my friend anymore."
Krypt King was taken aback by this, "I never knew that you used to be friends with Wolfgang. But blaming you for his misery? He did that himself."
Snap Shot spoke, "I know, but he didn't understand the repercussions of his actions."
Krypt King understood as they were soon approached by Flynn as the pilot asked, "If you two are done reflecting on old wounds. You ready to shove off to Know-It-All Island? Buzz has already gone ahead to scout out the area and we're going to meet him there sometime."
Snap Shot asked, "Ready, Krypt King?" Krypt King nodded, "Ready, Snap Shot."
Meanwhile in Kaos' Hideout, a recording of Kaos emerged dating back to the Ape Attack on Cloudcracker Prison, "Hello fellow evil doers! By the time you see this, I Kaos, would've hatched an ingenious plan to liberate you from your miserable existence here in Cloudcracker Prison! And as my Ape Army keeps the Trap Team distracted, I shall liberate you with this!" The camera moved to a strange machine,
"My Evil Frequency Modulator of Evil Doom! Observe!!" He powered up the machine, "With this device I will tunnel my way through these walls and free all of you, The Doom Raiders then, obviously grateful, you will help me as your new supreme leader in turning the tide of this war. Although that fuzz head Gaul has other plans to turn the tide of this war, he reluctantly agreed to this plan, this will mean the ultimate domination of the world!" He laughed evilly as the machine began to act strange as Glumshanks pointed out from behind the camera,
"Uh, Lord Kaos, are you sure its supposed to be this loud?" Kaos shouted, "SILENCE, FOOL!" He calmed down, "Of course I'm sure."
The Modulator's malfunction caused a piece of Cloudcracker Prison to break off, Kaos didn't notice until a piece of the modulator blew off in front of him as he realized that something was wrong. Both Kaos and Glumshanks took the Modulator's malfunction and Cloudcracker Prison was breaking apart as a sign to run but as the modulator exploded, both were sealed in Liquid Ice as the feed ends and showed a picture of Kaos' face.
As the real Kaos laughs evilly knowing that his plan succeeded as the Doom Raiders looked in confusion at the little guy's antics until he finally spoke, "Welcome! Welcome Doom Raiders to my Ultimate Evil War Table...of DOOM!" His voice echoed in his hideout as Wolfgang slammed his fist on the table, "Enough playing games, little man. Krankcase and I came back in defeat, beaten up by those EQG Skylanders as we recruited the Dazzlings into our group. But what do you want from us!?"
Kaos lowered his chair, "Relax, 'friends' Now that I, Kaos, have rescued you, you are now all under my protection. Here in my new hidden lair, complete with holographic camouflage." He told his butler, "Show them Glumshanks."
The troll pulled a lever as the hideout's outer shell turned into a bouncing castle and into an igloo. Kaos spoke, "I know what you're thinking? Ingenious!" One of the Doom Raiders, the Chompy Mage who was defeated by the Skylanders on Wilikin Island during the 2nd War with Kaos, looked at his Chompy Puppet as it shook its 'head' as Wolfgang aggressively,
"That lot of good your protection did the Gulper! Know what else?" He sniffed Kaos' scent, "I don't like your smell, but I hate Snap Shot's smell."
Soon Chef Pepperjack finally decides to open his mouth, unbeknownst to the Chef, Chompy Puppet was lip-synching his words, "Uh-huh, Exactly Wolfgang. As a chef of great renown, I say P-U P-U!" Chompy Puppet pulled away as Pepperjack noticed Kaos' chair, However I do like the chair."
Dreamcatcher floated towards Kaos, "Yeah, let's keep the chair and ditch the creep!" The other Doom Raiders surrounded Kaos and Glumshanks as they prepared to kick him off his chair as Kaos tried to persuade them,
"But wait! I saved you! You're supposed to be thanking me! You haven't even heard my plan!" The Doom Raiders didn't care until a bright golden flash appeared as a voice said,
"Stop!" The Doom Raiders backed away as the Golden Queen appeared, "Don't think us ungrateful for what you and the Apes did, Kaos. You and the Troll can stay." She chuckled, "Only to bare witness to MY Plan to bring Skylands to its knees! And believe me, this one's..." She touched a chair as it turned to gold, "SOLID GOLD!" She laughed as she added a bonus, "Just as Krypt King when I have him in my clutches again."
Kaos remembered that name several times over as he remembered seeing the Warfang Undead Warrior Krypt King decimate several apes several years back. Kaos was angered, "You're hunting Krypt King!?"
Wolfgang face-clawed, "She's been like that ever since Krypt King deceived us. It turns out that his guise as our 'new Doom Raider' was only a deception to gain our trust, but not mine. She's lovesick for him ever since and it so much drives me mad as well!"
All of a sudden, the hideout door flew open as a cat thief entered as he bowed, "My Queen, I do believe that we found him."
The Golden Queen was curious, "Bring him in, Nightshade." Nightshade clapped his hands as a crystal popped into view, holding a frozen Skylander, not shrunken or a statue just frozen in a crystal. Nightshade described the occupant,
"We all remember this one as Knight Light, the Light Trap Master and Luminous' Greatest Enemy. We found him in a place in Equestria called, 'The Crystal Empire' and believe me those ponies in that city have statues of those Skylander Giants like mad, but they also take tribute to that second Purple Dragon as a hero. They were actually celebrating the 'Rise of the Giants' when we came across our friend here, buried in the crystal structure at the palace. We chipped him free and brought him here before those so-called guards arrived to investigate our excavation."
Kaos shouted, "You brought a Skylander to my lair!? Are you out of your mind?!" Nightshade politely said, "Shush, yappy midget."
Kaos felt offended, but before he could say anything, the Golden Queen zapped a Golden Binky on Kaos' mouth. She looked at the frozen Skylander and said,
"A great find, Nightshade. But if we awaken him here, he would recognize us. He would also return to Sunscraper Spire to check on Luminous."
Wolfgang spoke, "We could just give him a friend to give him company and keep him distracted long enough for Luminous to lure the Skylanders to Sunscraper Spire."
Nightshade asked, "Yes, but who?" Golden Queen spoke, "One of the Dazzlings should keep him company. I suggest Sonata Dusk should be tasked for this assignment."
Kaos spat that binky out as he wondered, "Why did I free them in the first place."
As the Skylanders arrived at Know-It-All Island, Flynn, Snap Shot and Krypt King walked onto the island as Flynn spoke,
"Next stop, Know-It-All Island. Supposedly, you can ask these Stoneheads anything." He became agitated, "Like maybe where Buzz is. Made a big thing out of his Secret Ninja Tomato Skills and He's not even here!"
All of a sudden, "Who says I'm not?" Buzz stood right next to Flynn as he frightened the pilot, "Used my Secret Ninja Commando training sneak right up on ya." He chuckled, "Just like I used to deploy a little recon." He gazed at a nearby Stonehead, "Everything we need to know about the Doom Raiders is locked up inside the noggins of these stone knuckleheads. Just follow me boys, I'll take you to them."
Buzz actually pointed across the bridge, "Mags was looking for you guys. She said something about having Gulper make amends for all the damage he caused. You should go speak to her."
The Trap Masters complied as they went over to Mags who greeted them, "Hey Skylanders, I had a little idea I wanted to run by you here."
Snap Shot asked, "Its about Gulper, right?" Mags nodded as she continued, "I think I know a way he could make things up to the good people at the Soda Fest. Just send him over to me and I'll explain everything."
Gulper appeared as he asked, "You want Gulper to make up for soda rampage?"
Mags nodded, "Yep, if you're ready to redeem yourself then come with me then." Gulper accepted as they went to an island that had ten weeping Mabu and a clearing with balloons. Mags stood up on a stone pedestal as she spoke,
"Well, since you ruined the Soda Fest, you made a lot of kids sad and what's a better way to cheer them up than with balloons? According to my balloon books, nothing."
Snap Shot recognized this set-up, "Taking a page out of 'Pinkie Pie's 10,000 Ways To Make A Sad Pony or Mabu Smile' book I see."
Mags turned to Snap Shot, "That girl knows a lot of ways to make people smile despite her randomness." She went back to the subject, "Now Gulper, all you gotta do is deliver each balloon to each kid and we'll consider your apology accepted. Sound Good?"
Gulper replied, "Gulper got to be nice and redeem myself with cheering up the kids."
Mags shouted, "That's the spirit! Now go deliver those balloons!" Snap Shot handed Gulper four balloons has he handed one to the first kid.
Gulper moved further as he spotted a kid surrounded by enemies as he quickly disposed of them and handed the balloon to the second kid.
Gulper smashed a few obstacles as he came across more plant creatures as he dispatched them and handed a balloon over to the third kid. Snap Shot said,
"Nice one, Gulper!"
Gulper returned to the clearing as Krypt King hand three balloons to the Doom Raider, he soon moved across the bridge and down a ridge and defeated a rock dog as he delivered the forth balloon to the forth kid as Mags added,
"Don't worry 'bout those kids floatin' up like that. They'll be fine."
Gulper destroyed a barrel revealing a teleporter back to the balloon clearing. He used it and got a balloon from Snap Shot as the slug spotted two kids nearby, one is high and one is low. He delivered the fifth balloon to the kid on the structure and jumped off to the kid next to the structure to deliver the sixth balloon.
He went back to the Trap Team to get more balloons and soon went across another bridge as Mags spotted a kid and spoke,
"That kid over there needs a balloon." Gulper went to a bounce pad and used it to get up the cliff. He delivered the seventh balloon to the kid that Mags pointed out. He went close to a flat-top structure and delivered the eighth balloon. He jumped to the top of the structure to deliver the ninth balloon and jumped off of the structure and delivered the tenth balloon.
After that, the Mabu kids were cheering for the Gulper as they were happy of his services as the Trap Team cheered while Mags spoke,
"Nice! You've just taken the first step on the path to bad guy redemption. Now lets get back to Know-It-All Island and we'll talk reward."
As they returned to Know-It-All Island, Mags spoke to Gulper, "Well Gulper, ya did a real nice thing for those kids. While that alone is reward enough, I've got a little something extra for you too."
A sudden flash of light exploded around Gulper as his blubbery skin turned from blue to green as Mags explained,
"This Evolved Form increases the damage from your attacks and keeps you on the field for a lot longer until you have to rest."
Gulper admired this, "I'll drink soda to that and Gulper likes this!" Gulper disappeared as Mags spoke to Snap Shot, "Best you go see Buzz and find those Stoneheads."
The Trap Team soon went to Buzz as he spoke, "Gulper was enjoying himself when he redeemed himself. But now, first order of business is opening up this here gate." Krypt King retrieved the key and opened the gate as they moved forward. Buzz looked across the pit and realized,
"Well how's about that - our first knucklehead! Why don't you go give it a looksee?"
Snap Shot looked at the pit and the Traptanium Shard, "An easy fight should do good."
Krypt King acknowledged this as they leapt into the pit and attacked the shard several times until it exploded, weakening the support of the floor as the Trap Team fell down into the pit.
All of a sudden, the Trap Team noticed a gang of bad guys formed up near the pit as the leader was a small sprout creature as he said,
"Let's Tussle, Trap Team!" Both Trap Master shouted in surprise, "TUSSLE SPROUT!?"
Tussle Sprout and his plant gang jumped into the pit as Snap Shot and Krypt King charged forth into battle. Tussle Sprout's minions were easy to defeat until the sprout...well sprouted toxic seeds that spawn toxic gas. But Krypt King used his 'Look Ma, No Hands' trick as his sword slashed Tussle Sprout while Snap Shot finished him off with an arrow.
Celestia and Luna appeared in holographic form as the sprout was encased in a dome of light. Snap Shot spoke,
"Princesses, use an Earth Trap on Tussle Sprout."
Tussle Sprout spoke, "Come on! Go Green." A thump of energy occurred as Tussle Sprout saw a brown vortex appear. As he was sucked in, he yelled,
"I'm totally allergic to Vortexes! AAAACHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!"
Celestia had the Trap as Tussle Sprout landed in it. Tussle Sprout spoke in amazement, "Whoa, my sinus' are clearing up in here? I can actually kind of smell stuff, mustard?"
Luna smiled, "I guess we found a cure for that cold of yours."
Celestia smiled, "Will you fight with us and not against us?"
Tussle Sprout sighed, "Well, I guess if the seasons can change, so can I."
After that, The Trap Team went to an Earth Gate where they allowed Wallop to access it and obtain a hat. They soon made their way to the first Stonehead as it spoke,
"I know why you're here. You want to know about escaped bad guys. I tell you about Chompy Mage." It cleared its throat as it spoke,
"Chompy Mage like to dance,
He also like to stompy,
But thing he loves the most,
Is turn everyone to Chompy."
Back in Equestria, the mention of Chompy Mage actually had an impact on the Skylanders that fought him. Rainbow Dash asked,
"I thought we defeated that Chompy Fanatic!?"
Twilight spoke, "We might've defeated him on Wilikin Island last time. But when we defeated him, he might've teleported off of Wilikin Island. Flynn encountered Chompy Mage when he was taking the Dinghy for a joy ride."
Rainbow stated, "But it doesn't face the fact that we are facing him again. As if dealing with his brother wasn't enough."
Terrafin spoke, "We fought Chompy Mage on a reality-shifting island where Kaos' dolls come to life and Chompy Mage's trick was shifting between worlds where bad magic becomes good magic."
Rainbow didn't like this, but she understood the concept of her fellow Skylanders fighting Chompy Mage without his sneaky trick until she and the other Skylanders saw the Princesses capture another villain called, 'Buzzer Beak' which accepted being a good guy. Until they saw the two Trap Masters come up an another Stonehead as it spoke,
"I tell you about the Dazzlings," He cleared his throat,
"They look like teenage girls,
Flawless and believe superior,
But they also sing to brainwash,
What they love most of all,
Is draining magic from brainwashed victims."
The EQG Skylanders heard the Stonehead as they remembered that battle in their head. They had to morph into their Elemental forms to combat the Dazzlings in their Siren forms. All they know is that they will have to fight them again. But there is one EQG Skylander who felt left out; EQG Spike felt left out when this all happened. It almost felt like he didn't do anything significant. Master Eon noticed this and spoke,
"I know what you are feeling. But you have so much power within you than you can imagine. But when the time is right..." He handed EQG Spike a black box, "Open this box when you are ready."
EQG Spike replied, "How would I know when I am ready?" The Portal Master gently pressed a hoof on his chest, "The words that were used to unlock this power will come to you in time."
EQG Spike placed the box in his pocket as he turned his attention towards the Traptanium Portal.
As Krypt King and Snap Shot approach the next Stonehead as it began to tell them about the leader of the Doom Raiders,
"I tell you about Golden Queen. Even though you specifically know about her intentions for you." He cleared his throat,
"She disires things that glitter,
And trinkets she can hold.
But most of all she after,
Things that made of gold.
Until then she after,
The trap master that,
Broke her golden heart."
Snap Shot didn't realize that the Stonehead would tell them about Krypt King breaking the Golden Queen's heart. But it was just that, he understood his pain of revealing the deception and knew about the Golden Queen's fury when his friend revealed his true allegiance. But Krypt King spoke,
"Thank you for telling us about Golden Queen. We can use this information greatly."
Afterward, they went towards a cannon where the accident prone Mabu, Blobbers was waiting as he saw several Troll gunships appear, he spoke in fear,
"Oh no, Skylanders! The Trolls must have sent for reinforcements! We're DOOMED!" Buzz arrived to slap some sense into the Mabu, "What kind of attitude is that, soldier?"
Blobbers pointed out, "I'm uh, not a soldier." Krypt King spoke, "He is an accident prone bystander that took us to several Stoneheads."
Buzz noted, "He did help you out. But the field of battle is no place for him." He looked at Blobbers, "Why don't you take a hike and let the professionals handle this."
Blobbers responded in joy, "With pleasure!" He instantly left as the Trap Masters hopped into the turret and started shooting at the Troll reinforcements. The trolls were easily dispatched by the turret and soon the Trap Masters proceeded through the open gate as they encountered an earth dog that sprung from his camouflage and the two recognized him,
"SLOBBER TRAP!?" Slobber Trap noticed the two as he moved up the ramp and activated a battle gate,
"Now you fell into my Trap, Trap Team!" Snap Shot and Krypt King soon charged in and disposed the plant warriors until the Troll Gunships started dropping their troops to attack. Snap Shot decided to tag out for Gulper as the slug used his trident to fling the trolls either over his head or off the ledge. Gulper bit down on some of the trolls as Krypt King used his sword telepathically to take out the plant warriors. Gulper's time ran out as he was tagged out to rest as Snap Shot was back in the fight.
Slobber Trap decided to join the battle as he pounced on Krypt King as he spoke, "You can't teach an old dog new tricks!"
Krypt King kicked him off as he spoke while slashing his sword, "We will teach you some new tricks."
Snap Shot kicked Slobber Trap and slammed his Traptanium arrow into the ground to create a water spout and slammed into Slobber Trap.
Krypt King finished him off by opening up his faceplate and unleashing his swarms as Slobber Trap was encased in a dome of magical energy and Celestia and Luna appeared in holograms. Snap Shot spoke to the Princesses,
"Use a different Water Trap on Slobber Trap."
Slobber Trap panted, "Oh come on! I'll be good! I'll be good!" All of a sudden, he whimpered to a familiar thump of magic as a blue vortex opened up as he was sucked in. He spoke,
"Is it too late to say I'm SORRRRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYY!" Celestia held up a Water Trap as Slobber Trap panted, "Hey, hey, hey, what's going on here? Is because I tried to bite Krypt King? Come on, I thought he was a Mailman!"
Celestia spoke, "We can let you out, so long as you don't bite any mail ponies or messengers."
Luna spoke, "And you fight on our side."
Slobber Trap made a 'Tim Allen huh' and spoke, "Oh well, guess its better to be a good dog than a bad dog."
Celestia smiled, "That's a good dog." Slobber Trap was soon thrown in as he spoke, "Let's play, Fetch!"
He took Snap Shot's place as soon as all enemies were defeated, the gates lowered and Krypt King took Slobber Trap to a Mabu who needed his help which made the dog evolve. Slobber Trap was sent out as Snap Shot was back in the field. They made it to Buzz who was standing next to another turret as a Troll Gunship emerged,
"Looks like they're bringin' out the big guns here. Just more of 'em to shoot I say!"
The Trap Masters jumped into the turret as they worked to blow the gunships out of the sky. As each gunship appears an elemental shot from the turret would always send the trolls packing. After every gunship was shot down, Buzz now spoke to the Trap Team,
"Excellent. Between the three of us, we now know all we need to know about this Doom Raider gang. They say knowing is half the battle but you know what the other half is?"
Snap Shot answered, "The actual battling part." Buzz nodded, "So let's get back to the Academy and figure out where we can do some more of it!"
After Mags studied the data and determined that the Doom Raiders were MAJOR Bad News. Especially to Snap Shot and Krypt King, mainly due to their past history with this mercenary gang. Buzz suggested to find these Doom Raiders and capture each one of them. Mags suggested going after the Chompy Mage at his home in Chompy Mountain which raised a question from EQG Legendary Spyro as he appeared,
"What kind of villain leaves the forwarding address to his home?"
Snap Shot replied, "Maybe it was for his brother, Sheep Mage."
Krypt King spoke, "But no one told Chompy Mage that leaving his forwarding address would attract others like us to his lair."
EQG Legendary Spyro facepalmed, "Then Chompy Mage is a sad strange little man."
