A purple alicorn, with a neat navy blue mane with magenta and lavender stripes, walked down the hallway. She could hear her hooves echoing through the halls of her vast and grand castle. She had just gotten it after, the tree of harmony gave it to her. Princess Twilight Sparkle loved to live the lavish life. To her it was nice to have nothing to do all day, and just read books, but occasionally she did have something to do like when Equestria was threated or she had to do some political things which ranged from obscure to reasonable. Most of the time they were rather reasonable. The most unreasonable thing she had to do was to travel all the way to the Crystal Empire, where Princess Cadence Rules. Her brother was the captain of the Royal Guard and Princess Cadence was her fillyhood foal-sitter. All three of them knew each other more than they knew themselves. All she had to do was to unfurl a banner that welcomed the Delicates from the nearby lands that border Equestria.Twilight's sister; well her sister in law to be precise. She normally lived the quiet life with her friends. Anyway she was heading to her library to read some books she just got back from having an animal play date with her friends, Rarity, Rainbow dash, Fluttershy, Pinky Pie, and least but not last Apple Jack. She really didn't like play dates or going out to do stuff with her friends, it was really boring, most of the time. She would have rather stayed home. She had to go there though it would great to never go again. She turned the last corner and finally she was at the library, her favorite place to be, she took a big whiff of the air and she could smell that familiar scent of parchment and ink, it filled her nostrils of the memories of her old home which was long gone and destroyed, when she got her castle.
Now she was tasked of finding a book to read from the vast library that she owned she had books from obscure to realistic; A to Z. Well this was going to be a difficult task she thought, but then she remembered the book, she could write to him they haven't talked in a while. She when to the end of the row of books she was in and she pulled a book and the what she was looking for appeared, if she was any slow in her reflexes the book would have hit the ground, a broke the spin she couldn't have someone repair it because the would find out about her secrets, that would be a very foolish and dangerous idea. She headed over to one of the desks in the center of the room grabbed a quill to write to him they haven't talked for quite some time now maybe a year or more. Though she liked him they really weren't friends she didn't like manny friends. Ironic fro the Princes of Friendship! Well, she walked over to her private library and when into in and locked the door behind her she wouldn't want anyone to find out about her secret. She would have to take care of them if they did and that would draw some suspicion to her and she didn't want any of that. Well there she sat down and she opened the book and took the quill she had now and then she wrote,
"Are you there," In her beautiful cursive and then she had a reply,
"Yes I am my dearest, how long has it been since we've last talked?". " She wrote back to him,
" Long enuf for me to become Princess, how have you been though? Any new spell that you've created?" She wrote to him, getting a slow response back, from the King of Shadows well that's what she liked to call him.
"Well, Princess we you've earned the title my dearest, I've been fine though I haven't made any new spells I quite that quite some time ago," He wrote, he hade a rather big crush on tWil.ight ever since she beat him in the Crystal Empire. This only crippled their friendship.
"Well someday I'll be queen and you could come out of hiding and all your crimes against Equestria will be pardoned. That in the future, the far, far future. Being that me and you are eternal that future is not so far away, ion sad sometimes not being able to die," she wrote back to him, and then she heard a knock at the door of her library and wrote a quick, "Good Bye," Shut the book and unlocked the door, to see who knocked, she looked arounf=d and saw one of the fifteen guards that watched over her home.
"Yes, what is it?" She asked, the guard with a hint of annoyance in her face, but he didn't notice.
"Your friend Apple Jack wanted to know I Spike could help her with sorting the apples," The guard said notifying her of Apple's pure annoyance.
"He can go," she said shutting the door and continuing with her book but then she decided to hide it in this room it would be safer because she can look this room and if anyone wants the lever book she had her secrets would be revealed. So she went over to her Star Swirl shelf and the one on simple fire magic would be the new leaver. Now every time she left this room she would have to lock it for safety. After she hid the book she walked out of her private library locking it and then she wondered around the library looking for another book to read, as she looked around she found the newest "Daring Doo" book called the "End of the World". She took the book and walked over to the desk she borrowed the Quill from put the quill back nd then she sat down and read. She got to around chapter four until she felt a little sleep and she got up to see what time it was she looked at the nearest clock to her and it was ten o clock, that was her bedtime, so she got up and then she walked to her room then she slept.
