Chapter 7
The Slumber Party
The girls and Discord sat in Pinkie's room, Twilight was scribbling nonsense that was meant to be the counterspell into Fluttershy’s notebook. Rainbow and Applejack were playing video games and Fluttershy, Rarity and Sunset were taking selfies in the corner, which Discord was photo-bombing, and Pinkie was making a status update on her computer. “Status update? Okie dokie wokie!” Pinkie said gleefully. Applejack was just about to beat Rainbow but Dash then slammed the power button on the console.
“Hey, I was just about to beat you!” Applejack yelled in frustration.
“I doubt it,” Rainbow replied as she started to spin the controller on the tip of her finger. “How’s that counterspell coming along, Twilight?” She added trying to distract Applejack… Which worked. Twilight perked up suddenly and held the notebook close to her to hide that she had done nothing but scribbled.
“Oh, uh great!” Twilight replied and closed the notebook quickly. “Thanks for letting me borrow your notebook, Fluttershy. I really like the songs you wrote for the Rainbooms,” Twilight said to Fluttershy.
“Thanks, Twilight now if only we could actually play some of them,” Fluttershy replied with a sad look on her face. Sunset sat beside Twilight on the bed.
“We’re really lucky that you're here, Twilight,” Sunset said with a smile.
“Some of us are luckier than others,” Applejack replied with a knowing smile which made Twilight and Sunset blush. Pinkie then shot around the corner.
“Pizza’s here!” Pinkie yelled and the room quickly emptied besides Twilight. Twilight inspected her work which was more just a combination of scribbles and nonsense rather than a counter-spell. She frowned at her work and sighed deeply.
“You don’t want any pizza?” Sunset asked peering through the doorway.
“Of course, I’ll be right there,” Twilight replied putting on a fake smile as she put the notebook in a drawer.
“Is something wrong?” Sunset asked moving over to Twilight and sitting beside her on the bed.
“No, everythings fine, I’m sure I can have the counterspell done by tomorrow,” Twilight replied keeping her fake smile up as best she could.
“Are you sure? I could help you with the spell I know a thing or two about magic too you know,” Sunset said and put an arm around her girlfriend's shoulder.
“Thanks for the offer but I feel like this is something that I have to do alone,” Twilight said sinking into Sunset’s embrace.
“Alright, I understand,” Sunset replied slightly hurt by Twilight’s comment. “So are you hungry or what?” Sunset asked rubbing Twilight’s shoulder lightly.
“I’m starving,” Twilight replied with a smile. Pinkie popped back into the room with a slice of pizza in her mouth. She said what could be taken as asking them whether they were coming downstairs or not.
“We’ll be right there, Pinkie,” Sunset replied with a laugh. Pinkie replied with a muffled okie dokie loki. “You ready to go, baby?” Sunset asked Twilight. Twilight looked at her quizzically.
“Baby?” Twilight asked confused.
“Sorry, I just thought I would try out giving you a nickname since we’re dating now…” Sunset rambled out nervously rubbing the back of her head nervously. “I won’t call you it again if you don’t want me to,” She added putting her hands up defensively.
“I actually kind of like it, baby it is,” Twilight replied and hugged Sunset.
“Phew,” Sunset said and wiped some sweat off her forehead.
“Now what should I call you for a nickname?” Twilight asked and broke the hug while bringing her hand to her chin pondering her thoughts. “My little pony… No that’s awful,” She stated shaking her head.
“Ok, I think that can wait until later, baby,” Sunset replied utilizing Twilight’s nickname for her. She helped Twilight to her feet and they made their way out of the room.
“How about Sunny? No that’s terrible too,” Twilight said mentally scratching that one off the list.
“You're going to be doing this all night aren’t you?” Sunset asked with a roll of her eyes as they entered the kitchen.
Twilight found it hard to sleep that night, thinking constantly of how to write a magical counterspell for the Dazzlings. she opened her eyes and peered around the room. The only problem she thought would have was getting out of the embrace she was currently in with Sunset. She carefully moved Sunset’s arms so as to not wake her up and went over to the drawer that held Fluttershy’s notebook. She retrieved the notebook and quietly stepped over Pinkie and Fluttershy who were in an embrace of their own. The one she noticed that was off was Discord wasn’t anywhere in sight, I wonder where he is She thought to herself. She proceeded downstairs to Pinkie’s kitchen to try and finish the counterspell. She sat there for what felt like hours trying to think of anything that would work for a counterspell but all she got was more scribbles. She spat the pencil that she had in her mouth out. “No that won’t work either!” Twilight said in a defeated tone and headbutted the table.
“Hey, baby,” Sunset said walking into the kitchen. “What are you doing up so late?” She asked eyeing the notebook suspiciously.
“Just looking over the counterspell, we only get one shot at this and it has to be perfect,” Twilight replied trying to sound sure of herself and confident.
“We’re really lucky you're here,” Sunset stated with a wide smile as she opened the fridge.
“That’s what everyone keeps telling me,” Twilight said in an unsure tone.
“Who could possibly need this much whipped cream?” Sunset asked pulling out a can of whipped cream.
“Sunset I need to tell you something,” Twilight said about to tell her girlfriend that she had nothing in the form of a counterspell.
“What is it baby?” Sunset asked and walked over to the table and rested her elbows on the countertop and her chin on her palms. Twilight was about to tell Sunset when the words caught in her mouth. I can’t tell her, everybody expects me to have the answers. I know what I can do.
“You know everyone else is asleep, we could have some…” Twilight started trying to think of the perfect word to use for the situation. “Fun,” She added in a seductive tone.
“Twilight are you propositioning me?” Sunset asked feigning innocence.
“What if I am?” Twilight asked twirling a strand of hair in her fingers.
“I think I would accept,” Sunset replied and stepped over to the other side of the table and began to kiss Twilight. Within an instant Sunset swiped the notebook off the table and picked up Twilight and placed her on the table. Twilight wasn’t quite sure what to do, she hadn’t quite finished The Pony’s Guide to Lovemaking yet and even then that was for pony anatomy not human. She just let Sunset takeover since she seemed to know what she was doing. Sunset broke the kiss suddenly and made her lay back on the table. Sunset then proceeded to get on top of Twilight and laid herself on top of Twilight. They resumed their make out session for a little while longer and then Sunset began to unbutton Twilights shirt. “I think I could give you some… Inspiration for the counterspell,” Sunset stated seductively.
“I think I would like that,” Twilight replied and started to lift up Sunset’s shirt. Just as Sunset was about to undo the button that would reveal Twilight’s breasts Discord popped up.
“Guys, look what I found, it’s called a video recording device,” Discord said holding the device in hand and recording the both of them. “Oh my,” He added seeing the two of them frozen in position. Sunset quickly pulled her shirt back down and Twilight fiddled with her buttons trying to button back up. Sunset quickly got off of Twilight and helped her off the table as well. “Was I interrupting anything?” Discord asked knowing full well what he had just done.
“I swear when we get back to Equestria Discord…” Twilight started before she noticed Discord wasn’t paying attention to them anymore. “Are you even listening?” She asked the anger growing in her voice. She looked over and saw the human version of Maud was in the room.
“Boulder was hungry,” Maud said with her same vacant voice as she carelessly poured chips on top of the rock that rested in her palm. She walked off still pouring the chips on it.
“I still can’t believe she’s related to Pinkie Pie,” Discord said in disbelief. Twilight stood there practically fuming still from Discords interruption and Sunset simply stood nervously holding her arm and looking around the room. “Well I can tell I’m not welcome here, I need to show this to Fluttershy!” He exclaimed and rushed up the stairs.
“I guess you don’t want to pick up where we left off?” Twilight asked Sunset.
“Maybe we should hold off until another time, who knows who will show up next time, and I don’t want to send Rarity into shock,” Sunset replied with a laugh.
“Good point, I have to finish up this counterspell, so raincheck?” Twilight asked with a hopeful smile.
“Definitely, to be continued,” Sunset replied returning her smile and hugged Twilight and gave her a light kiss on the lips before she made to leave the kitchen. “Don’t be too much longer Twilight, you need sleep just as much as the rest of us,” She added at the doorway of the kitchen.
“I know, goodnight Sunset,” Twilight said while she retrieved the notebook. “I love you,” She added with a blush as she sat back in her seat.
“Love you too, baby,” Sunset replied and left the room. The smile quickly faded from Twilight’s face as she remembered the task at hand. She turned back to her scribbles and sighted deeply as she ran a hand through her hair.
“We’re doomed,” Twilight stated in a defeated tone.
