//------------------------------// // Aria Meets Next Generation // Story: Punk Love // by MyLittleGeneration //------------------------------// No, no, no... I walked up to see a 'Sold Out' sign on the doors of the building. "Are you serious?" I asked a man, who was right next to the door. He was about to walk off. "Certainly you have to have ONE more ticket." He shook his head. "Nope," he said. "This concert just got sold out." With that, he walked off, whistling along. Great. Now what do I do? There's like no way I can listen to them now. Unless I can just sneak in somehow or beat up someone for their ti- Or maybe not. I saw four men walk on the sidewalk. It was them. Tres Drums, Sid Watts, Wolf Smoke, and Anthem Flare. Perhaps I could ask them for a spot? Worth a shot, especially since I can actually meet them. Might be weird and kinda not like me, but who cares. I walked up to the four, who were having a chat with each other. They noticed me walking up to them. "Are you really Next Generation?" I asked them. "Yep." Anthem said. "We are those guys. The best kind around." I never felt like this, nor did I ever think of feeling like this, but I'm fangirling in the inside! These guys I heard of once. Just ONCE, and I'm acting like their number one fan. My heart is going wild on how crazy this is of meeting a band I already love with all my heart and soul! Wicked fast heartbeat, getting butterflies in my stomach, this is not like me. Then, the whole band started talking. "Damn right we are!" said Tres, holding his drum sticks. He had a mohawk, but not a crazy one, and wore a black shirt with a purple tie on, along with studded black jeans. He also had a nice scar on his cheek, too. "And now, here we are!" Wolf spoke. He made a howling noise, too. Weird, but cool. "Canterlot: the city of wonder. Heard some freaky shit about this place." He had black, spiky hair, shades, a black, leather jacket with a wolf on the back, and rugged jeans. "Magic and crap running through here." Oh... well hopefully they never heard about us. I mean, we ARE a part of the magic here... Sid was just holding a bottle of sparkling water in his bandage-wrapped hands. He pointed at me. "Yeah, do you know anything about magic around here? Lately I, or we really, have heard about somethin' about sirens?" he asked me. I quickly started to worry then. Crap, what will they do if they know that I'm a siren? I am a siren, I tried to take over this place with my sisters, and if I tell these guys, one: they'd be very scared. Two: they won't give me tickets. Three: I don't know what else can possibly happen, but it's sure as hell negative. I then think of the most simple answer. "Yeah." I told them. "Seen them, but then never again. Surely they are somewhere." I felt a sweat, but they didn't seem to notice, considering it is just that one little sweat trickling down my forehead. Sid nodded. "I heard of what happened. Taking over a school in some music competition, and then after that embarrassment for the three devils." With that, he laughed. Hehe... yeah, those girls sucked and were fools... But Anthem turned his attention to me. "So, uh, what you want an autograph?" he asks. I shook my head. "Well, no." I told him. "I kinda want something else from you guys." I pointed at the 'Sold Out' sign on the doors of the building. "Can you guys get me a ticket? I'm just wondering if maybe you could do that for me. I seriously love your music!" Anthem was scratching his chin. "Well..." he said. He looked back at his buddies. "What do you guys think? Special seat? If we have any." Sid ran his fingers through his greasy hair. "Hey, if the girl wants a seat, if the girl digs our music, give her the seat, brother." he told Anthem. "She seems like a cool girl anyways." "Yeah." said Tres. "Let's be nice. Backstage pass, Anthem." "Add her to the pack." Wolf said. "What harm could she do? It's not like she bites or anything." Anthem shrugged. "Eh, why not." he said. I smiled. "Alright, you want to come to our concert that badly?" I nod furiously. "Woah, alright. How about we give you a backstage pass? You can hang out with us." You're kidding, right? "For real?" I ask. He nods. "Thank you so much! You don't know how good it feels to finally do something." He chuckles. "Got nothing to do?" he asks. "Boring and stale? Yeah, that can sum up my life right at this moment." I responded. Anthem leaned against the wall of the building. "Well, if you got nothing to do NOW, then it would be a good moment to maybe hang?" he said. Hang? With this band? It couldn't get any better. "Come on. We're just wandering around the city." I happily tag along, and we move around Canterlot. "Oh, and uh, what's your name?" "Aria Blaze." I answered. Anthem chuckled. "Cute name." I slightly blush, since that was a flattering comment. "So, mind if I ask, how old are you guys?" I ask. "It didn't say on the site and whatever." They all told me how old they were. All of them were 19, except for Sid, who was 21. I was actually closing in on being 18. "Wow." I said in amazement. "You're that young? I'm actually almost 18, soon." "That's how we roll!" Wolf said. He howled. "We are the young blood, baby!" I liked Wolf. He was pretty wacky and cool, and he seemed to pull off stuff Sonata would do. We went by a Taco Bell, and Wolf said, "How's about a taco, huh, Anthem? I'll die without one, mate!" Yep, that was a Sonata alright. Anyways, we continued to chat. "How did you guys meet?" I ask. Sid told how they got together. "We all loved punk music, and we usually hung out. I was Anthem's neighbor, Tres was Anthem's friend, and Wolf was Tres' friend. And though during the time, everyone else heard my guitar skills at times in the neighborhood. As we met each other one day, we became a band. Anthem was really the leader, so he named our band 'Next Generation' cause it sounded cool." "Not after 'The Generation'?" I ask. "That, too." Anthem answered. "It's a good name, right?" "Hell yeah!" I said, totally agreeing to that. I then ask, "Got any new songs coming out?" "Man, you got a lot of questions, don't ya?" Anthem said. Then, he answered. "One song. It's actually going to be played at our concert. It's called 'Tomorrow Nite'. It's gonna be first played at our debut! How's that?" "Cool. That's awesome." I said. I then learned a little more about them. Sid sadly was adopted, but he loved his foster parents, especially since they loved guitar playing. Tres was in another small band when he was younger called 'Jock Joey', but he quit immediately after a fight with the singer, Joey. Wolf played hockey, junior boxing, and even MMA, but he turned to making music. Plus, he had an annoying older brother who hated him because he liked punk music, almost like me and Sonata, except Sonata likes me. And then, Anthem's father was a punk band singer, though not a famous one, and plus he met Billie Joe Armstrong, Tom Morello, Joan Jett, and Doyle Frankenstein. They had more, too, but I don't wanna just cover this all up with hundreds of facts from these guys. But then, it reached a time where I decided to head back, even when I didn't wanna. I know I can't stay out of the house too late, otherwise Adagio would bitch about this. "Well, it was fun being with you guys," I said. "But I have to go." "Aw, already?" Anthem said. "But we're heading to Five Guys. Sure you don't wanna eat?" "I'm fine." I said. "Thanks for the offer, though." Anthem then pulls out a pen and a small piece of paper, and signs it. He hands it to me. "Aw. Thanks." "No prob." he said. "Hey, just be here by an hour before our concert. We'll be there, and we'll allow you inside. Nice meeting you, Aria." He waved. "Yeah, nice seeing ya, mate." Sid said, waving to me, too. Wolf did the same. "Get a good sleep! Woo! See ya!" "Punk it up!" Tres said. I looked back and waved. Man, these guys were cool. Can't wait for tomorrow. You know, to meet these guys backstage and see a concert, their first concert! I headed back home as the sun was setting. What a fun time! Hanging out with the band that I just grew to in just mere minutes, there's no way you couldn't say that this was cool!
