//------------------------------// // Mini chapter 1 Adagio and the Dark and stormy Night // Story: My Little Adagio! // by The Angry Dango of Doom //------------------------------// Rain pelted the windows and Lighting flashed through the windows, echoing thunder throughout the sleeping town. Except for one curly haired girl, whom remained terrified in her bed. Adagio pulled the blankets more over her head and squeezed her eyes tight and tightly squeezed her stuffed Koala. The thunder cracked again causing her to jump. Tears soaked into the stuffed marsupial while she tried to block out the terror of nature. Adagio squeezed the pillow around her head and pressed it against her ears before another bolt of lightning crashed and she bounced up in terror. She tried one last time, squeezing everything around her once more, the light flashed and a powerful boom of thunder threw her from her bed. Adagio wiped the tears from her cheeks and tossed the blankets away from her. She grabbed her stuffed koala tightly in her arms, and pulled open the door to her room. The hallway extended a mile in her mind as the darkness swarmed her vision. The light flashed again, forcing her to sprint down the hallway, but tripped a few steps in. She rolled over and saw a dark figure creeping towards her. Adagio's heart pounded within her chest weakening her voice before she could scream. Adagio scrambled to her feet, grabbed her koala, and sprinted down the hallway to the last door. She twisted the knob before another flash of lighting made her bounce into the room. Adagio tip toed through the messy room, and over to a purple messy mass of hair. The blankets rose and sank lightly to the sound of her light snoring. Adagio poked Aria lightly in the arm, but no response. She lightly shoved Aria who let out a small groan. Adagio lost her patience, and slammed her Koala into her face, causing her to instantly rise and snatch the bear from Adagio's hand in fury. "What!" She hissed Adagio put on the most innocent look she could "I scared of the thunder, Aria." She dropped the bear and dragged her hand down her face "Well, what the hell do you want me to do about it?" "C-can I sleep in your bed?" Adagio forced tears to well in her eyes. Aria stared back at Adagio in disbelief "What?" "I want to sleep in your bed tonight!" "Ugh, whatever." Aria rolled onto the other side of the bed Adagio smiled and climbed into the free side of the bed. She snuggled both the bear and Aria's warm body, before finally relaxing. Aria slightly flinched when she felt the small girl's embrace, before letting it go. The warm safety of the older siren warded off the fear of the thunder, allowing Adagio to let out a tiny yawn, before finally drifting off into sleep. Aria looked back at the small girl. She didn't see the overbearing leader she once knew. That siren was completely gone. The only thing left was an angry little girl. Aria yawned one last time before forgetting the thoughts that clouded her mind, and returning to her own slumber.
