"They're here, they're here, GUMMY!" I screamed
I had been preparing for my biggest, and bestest party I have ever thrown and the first guest, (I assumed) had just arrived, so I hopped to the door to see who it was.
"Welcome, welcome, welcome to pinkie's best party EVER, even if your a few hour early." I speedily shouted while I opened the door.
The face I saw was a familiar one to me, one of my best friends Rainbow Dash with what I can only describe as a Rainbow Dash kind of smile.
"Hi pinkie, sorry I'm so early I was just wondering if you, well you know, need some help getting the party set up" she said in a very cheery manner.
"Of course you can, I'll take all the help I could get for this one, so did you bring anything to eat, like I ask you too." I asked, while I look her over looking for any containers.
"I sure did, my famous cloud cake." she stated while sliding their container across the ground to my hoofs.
"By the way, who else is coming to this thing anyway?" she asked, looking around the room.
I went over to a near by table and picked up a piece of notebook paper, looking at it I began.
"Well lets see, there's Twilight, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, Discord, and just about everypony else we know." I stated nonchalantly.
"OK then looks like we have our work cut out for us, this time." Rainbow enthusiastically exclaimed.
We, for many hour set up this grand affair, I could tell Rainbow Dash was anxious, but I merely brushed it off as her being excited for the party.
"Hey Rainbow Dash, can you go outside and get some flowers from the flower cart, you know Rarity and her love of pretty things" I asked, breaking the silence that had been going on for a good fifteen minutes.
"Sure I can, what kind" she inquired.
I looked you for a second, thinking.
"Any kind will work." I answered.
She flew out of the bakery, leaving me alone to work, but much to my surprise she came back much more frantic, but at the same time excited.
"Pinkie Pie, Pinkie Pie look at this I found it on the steps to the bakery, it says its for you!" she cheered.
"Ow give me it, give me it, I wonder who its from? I wonder what it says?" I screeched.
She gave me the letter, which I then began to ripe open to see what it read. I cleared my throat, stood tall, and began to read the letter aloud.
"Dear Pinkie Pie, I have known you most of my life and am glad to have you as a close friend, but I can't go by one day without thinking about you, your adorable laugh, your beautiful pink mane and tail, and of course your shiny, happy smile. I have been invited to your party tonight and hope to see you there, my love, and maybe just maybe I will reveal myself and confess my love for you. Love your secret admirer." I read
Before I had time to blink I looked up to see rainbow dash, my mouth agape, my hoofs sweaty, my heart beating, and my eyes wide open. But she seemed to have a different pool of emotions, she seemed happy and excited over what she had heard.
"I...I...I just don't know what to say." I stuttered.
"Well there's only one thing to say Pinkie, I think you have somepony that's in love with you." she yelled, more cheery than I had ever heard from her before.
"I guess so, but I have so many questions like who are they, how well do I know them, are they a stallion or a mare, WHAT SHOULD I DO!" I ask, begin to freak out.
"Well I think you should get ready to meet this pony, get dressed up, maybe even do your mane." Rainbow dash said more enthusiastic than ever before.
I agreed she was probably right I might even like this pony back for all I know, so I got ready, going upstairs to put on my old dress from the gala, while Rainbow Dash finished the decorations.
"There." I was all done getting ready and turned to look at Gummy who had been stand near by.
"Oh Gummy what do I do, I'm really nervous I mean I love everypony I meet, but I've never had anypony who liked me in THAT way, what should I do" I yelped.
I then remembered what Dash had said, I stood proud and tall, wiped my eyes from the few tear I had formed, and began descending down the stairs.
When I reached the foot of the stair I noticed that a few more guests had arrived, which I quickly recognized as Rarity who was sitting next to the punch bowl, Twilight who was standing near the door waiting to get ponies as they came in, Applejack who was busy getting the barrels of cider set, Fluttershy who was hanging out with a few songbirds, and of course Spike who was (as usual) stand as close to rarity as possible.
While I was surveying the room, Spike spotted me and ran to me with something in his claws.
"Hey Pinkie Pie nice party, I have a feeling this one is going to be the best you've ever thrown" Spike said while handing me what I could now tell was another letter.
I quickly asked him if he knew what was in it which he promptly shook his head. I grabbed the letter and before I read it I was crowded by everypony else.
"Darling such a divine party you have thrown today, by the way, if you don't mind me asking, what's in the letter?" Rarity inquired.
Because of my extreme anxiousness I told them exactly what had happen when rainbow dash had come over, and all about the letter.
"And that's about it" I stated, finishing my story.
I quickly noticed that everyponie's mouth was wide open, it felt like an eternity passed before Twilight finally decided to talk to me.
"So Pinkie you have no idea who this pony is or even their gender?" she asked hoping to figure it out for herself.
I nodded my head as I looked down at the floor.
"Well I reckon you ought to meet this pony and figure if you're comfortable with them, maybe even see if you got some feelings for them too." Applejack added, trying to make me happy again.
"Funny that's exactly what Dashie told me to do, so I got all dressed up for the occasion." I said taking of the towel I planned to cover myself in until my secret admirer revealed themselves.
"Oh my goodness darling you look amazing, I might just be falling in love with you myself" Rarity shrieked.
"Excuse me but are you forgetting someone?" Spike announced angrily.
"Oh calm down Spikey-Wikey, it was simple a figure of speak." Rarity said while she ruffled his scales.
I then began to ask if anypony else had a date, which (much to my surprise) everypony, except applejack raise their hooves.
"What, Twilight who's your date?" I asked.
"Well my date tonight is flash sentry." she squealed like a little school filly.
"I've gone with my little spikey-wikey over here" exclaimed Rarity.
"Um I'm going with Discord, you know how he gets when I leave him hanging." Fluttershy stated nervously.
"Um I technically don't have a date." stuttered Rainbow Dash, appearing from right above the stairs archway.
"Oh don't feel said darling I'm sure you meet someone you click with sooner than you think." Rarity said, trying to cheer rainbow dash up.
"Wait a minute, what do you mean technically." inquired twilight, looking at Rainbow rather skeptically.
While rainbow dash opened her mouth to answer this, all of a sudden I heard a knock at the door, I then immediately began to hop to the entrance to see who it was. standing in the doorway was at least I far as I can recollect, sixteen ponies, standing at the door.
"Alright, lets get this party started." I cheered, letting them in.
