Said pony’s mane and tail was washed thoroughly and combed; their white coat was groomed to perfection; and their pearly whites brushed and flossed so well that Ponyville’s local dentist, Colgate, would praise them like a god. Yet that didn’t stop that very pony from fretting over another incredibly important thing to add into the events of the evening that lied ahead. Elusive needed a suitable tuxedo to go with the anniversary of him and his beloved. “Ugh!” The stallion fashion designer bellowed, “Of all the times for me to have a mental self-presentation block, why did it have to be right at this instant! Should I wear a black tuxedo? No! That’s far too dark! Maybe the cobalt one? Yes. Yes! It’ll match my eyes!” After taking a deep breath, he dressed himself into the cobalt tuxedo. It was however that he then went into another phase of making sure he was perfect. “I cannot be too careful. If there is even a small wrinkle on this thing, everything will be ruined!” “Elusive, will you please just calm down?” A voice came from behind him. Turning around, Elusive saw his younger brother, Silver Bell, sitting on his bed with a Power Ponies comic sitting next to the colt, having been read from front to back. “Oh. You’re still here.” Elusive said in a rather embarrassed tone. Silver Bell replied, “Of course I am. But if you want me to leave, I’ll go.” Before Silver could jump off the bed, Elusive told him, “No Silver; you don’t have to go anywhere; and you have nothing to apologize for. If anything it is I who should be apologizing to you for not setting a good example.” “But you’re going on a date with Princess Twilight! You’ve got every right to be nervous.” Silver responded; “I know Applebuck and Scootaloo always tell me that romance can get cheesy and icky, but I can tell that you and Princess Twilight really love each other, no matter what you two winds up wearing.” How? How is it possible that he can come up with the right words to make me feel better? Elusive thought to himself. With a relieved smile, the stallion told the colt; “Thank you Silver. I needed those words of encouragement.” Seeing that his work was done, Silver Bell grabbed his comic book and started out the door. Before he walked out into the hallway he looked back and told Elusive; “Oh and also, a black bowtie would go greatly with that tuxedo.”
