The next day, Discord walked onto the school. He saw a large, blue, muscular security guard waiting at the front door. The policeman saw Discord tap-dancing on the grass.
"Uh, oh!" Discord shouted. "Look at me! I'm on school grounds!"
"Iron Will sees a trespasser on school grounds that shouldn't be here anymore!" the officer shouted. "Time to make an arrest."
Discord prepared to run and zipped to the side of the school. Iron Will followed Discord to the hedge garden. He chased Discord to a hedge wall, but stopped when he saw what was with Discord.
"You like him?" Discord said stroking the ginormous cat beside him. "His name is Fluffy. Oh, Fluffy, I got a new toy for you."
"Uh, oh!" Iron Will gasped. He turned to run away, but he already got Fluffy chasing after him.
Discord chuckled. "That takes care of that problem. Now, to have some fun."
Starlight Glimmer started her free period and used it to approach Principle Celestia in the hallway with a stack of papers in her hand.
"Principle Celestia, as student president, I feel it is my duty to go over the school budget with you."
"I don't see why not." Celestia said. "Fire away."
"Well, I've been noticing an impending decline for the next three months that..." Starlight said. Suddenly, she caught sight of Discord at the far end of the hallway behind the principle.
"Is something wrong, Ms. Glimmer?" Principle Celestia asked.
"Actually..." Starlight started to say. She stopped herself when she saw Discord holding up a picket sign that read "I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE PLANNING!" She grew concerned and angry as she continued, "You know, it can wait. I need to check on an annoyance. I'll be with you in a minute."
Starlight and Celestia parted ways and the younger one trotted towards Discord's footprints on the floor. She continued following them until she heard a whistle. She saw Discord down the other hallways waving his hand toward her.
"Last one in's a rotten egg!" Discord declared. He ran into the gymnasium while Starlight followed. She and Discord were all alone in the big room.
"What do you mean, you know what I'm planning?" Starlight asked.
"Don't act all innocent." Discord scoffed. "I know you're abusing your power to remove all the special programs in the school making everyone one and the same."
"What if I am?" Starlight asked.
"You seem to be losing your mind." Discord said. "And I know a think or two about lost minds. Why are going so far as to doing this?"
Starlight chuckled before answering. "Let me tell you a story. Once upon a time, there's another world run by ponies. A criminal escaped there and took refuge here. She tried to turn an entire body of students into her personal army on conquest, but she was stopped when she attracted the pony princess. She should've been punished, but instead, she was given a chance at friendship. Then, some time later, the magic Sunset Shimmer brought attracted a trio of evil sirens that nearly brought this school into anarchy. Sure, they were defeated, but I made it my vow to never let anyone get into that ever again."
"That's why you're taking away all the programs?" Discord asked. "Because of Sunset Shimmer and the Dazzlings?"
"Every time this school dropped its guard, everyone was in the mercy of bringers of chaos and disharmony." Starlight explained. "The only way I could make sure that never happened again was by becoming student president and using my power to make everyone one and the same. No accidents. No flukes. No chaos."
"You can't be serious!" Discord shouted. "You're out of your mind!"
"I knew you would never fall for my equality plans." Starlight said. "That's why you had to go. And now, this. You brought me in the middle of an empty gym. What exactly do you hope to accomplish here?"
"Just keeping you busy." Discord said.
Suddenly, a loud noise shrieked throughout the entire school. It was a loud alarm that spooked Starlight Glimmer.
"The fire alarm?" Starlight Glimmer asked. "What are you doing?"
"I'll give you a hint." Discord said.
Discord pointed behind him revealing a door. There was a red caption reading "FIRE EMERGENCY!"
Suddenly, the gym doors slammed open and everyone ran through. They then stopped in their tracks seeing Discord in front of them. The crowd muttered to themselves before the school staff walked to the front.
"Discord?" Principal Celestia asked. "What are you doing back here?"
"He's up to his old tricks again!" Starlight shouted. "He used his hocus-pocus to set off the fire alarm!"
"I assure you, I did not do anything on it." Discord said. "My friends were actually the ones who..."
"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!" a shout called out. Officer Iron Will ran from a side-door taking a nasty look at Discord. He was soaking wet.
"You again?" Discord asked. "But... Fluffy..."
"Iron Will used wit to outsmart the beast." Iron Will said. "That, and I swam across a lake to lose it. It wouldn't go anywhere near the water. Now, I'm going to have to place you under arrest."
"Very clever, officer," Discord said in a British accent materializing a detective jacket and a dog head, "Except for one minor snag: you got the wrong crook. Starlight's the one you want. She was attempting to cut off all the programs just to make everyone equal, and I can prove it." He pulled out a tape recorder from his pocket. "You see, I got her entire confession right here on tape." He pressed the play button, but instead of words, polka music was played. Discord changed back to his usual look and shouted. "All right! Who's the wise guy?!"
Starlight Glimmer looked at the students turning their eyes at her. She then feigned a gasp. "I am wounded! You are lying!"
"NO!" a voice called out from the other side of the room. The six girls and the Computer Club stood there out of breath.
"He's not lying!" Ricky shouted. "Starlight Glimmer is going to remove all the sport teams, the clubs, and more."
Starlight grew even more nervous. "Don't listen to them! I'm class president! Why would I do such a preposterous thing?"
"If you won't believe us," Ricky said pulling out a flash drive, "Believe Devastator! He's the one with the proof!"
Ricky ran to the stage and reached a control panel. He plugged the flash drive in and lowered a giant screen in front of the stage. When it lit up, Devastator appeared at the screen.
"Yes?" he asked. "Oh. I didn't realize I had an audience. Um... 'To be or not to...'"
"Devastator," Ricky interrupted, "Just show them what Starlight's been up to."
"I'm going to pretend you said please." Devastator said. Suddenly, the screen showed sheets of paper and numbers running. Starlight grew worried by the second seeing special program names being removed.
"Say no more." Principal Celestia said. "Starlight, explain this."
"I... Well..." Starlight said nervously. She then groaned. "Fine! I was going to do all that! But it's what's best for the school!"
"You're insane!" Derpy shouted.
"I have a band!" Flash Sentry shouted.
"We're a group too!" Apple Bloom shouted.
"What were you planning to do with the food then?" Granny Smith asked.
"Even I admit, this is villainous!" Adagio shouted.
"I don't have to take this from any of you!" Starlight Glimmer shouted. "All these clubs did was separate you all further! These clubs represent how different and superior you all think you are!"
"What's wrong with being different?" Discord asked. "I'm more different from anyone else than ever. I don't need a club to be special, but it's what makes us closer. But you know that you're little subtle hypnosis gig couldn't work on me. That's why you wanted me gone!"
"BE QUIET!" Starlight Glimmer shouted. She turned back to the rest of the school. "It was all our differences that started all the threats to our welfare! Sunset Shimmer drove us all apart! The Dazzlings used our differences to their advantage! I'm bringing friendship! I'm bringing equality! I'M CREATING HARMO..."
She stopped when a zipper covered her mouth. All she could do was muffle loudly. She turned to Discord rolling her eyes with her fingers post-snapped.
"Oh, shut up!" Discord shouted. "You're trying to take all the happiness and fun from this school! I may be chaotic and lawless, but you're the villain here!"
Steamed, Starlight Glimmer clutched the end of the zipper and pulled it open. As she was done, the zipper disappeared.
"THAT'S IT!" Starlight screamed with rage.
Starlight ran toward the stage and knocked Ricky backward. She disappeared to the side.
"Uh, where's she going?" Discord asked.
"The roof!" Flash Sentry shouted. "There's a staircase that leads to the top of the school!"
"AFTER HER!" Trixie shouted.
The staff tried to stop them, but the students followed Starlight's direction. This time, Ricky saw the stampede coming and jumped out of their way. Discord, the girls, and the rest of the Computer Club went to the club leader.
"Are you all right, buddy?" Joe asked.
"Not for long!" Ricky panicked. "Starlight's clearly gone insane! She took Devastator's flash drive!"
Everyone gasped and looked up. They saw Starlight open the roof window with the flash drive in her hand. As Starlight ran on the roof, she searched frantically for a way to climb down, but had no such luck. She turned and the entire student body cornered her to the ledge.
"BACK OFF," Starlight shouted, "OR I'LL JUMP!"
Discord and the others squeezed through the angry mob and approached the mad student.
"Don't be stupid!" Rainbow Dash shouted. "You can't possibly fall off the roof of the school without breaking something!"
"Then I'll break this!" Starlight shouted holding up the flash drive she swiped.
"Don't!" Ricky shouted. "You can't break that thing! It means everything to me!"
"It's a computer program!" Starlight emphasized.
"That has life now!" Ricky shouted. "Discord actually gave Devastator feelings and emotion! You drop that thing, you'll be committing murder!"
"And this is a kid's story too!" Discord added. "Just... put... it... down."
"Very poor choice of words!" Starlight shouted. "And I refuse to negotiate with a freak!"
Discord straightened his face in fear and ran toward her. Starlight threw the flash drive across like a Frisbee and Discord followed when he jumped toward the drive.
"DISCORD!" Fluttershy shouted noticing Discord jumping off the ledge.
Discord heaved his leap until he grabbed the flash drive. He pressed it against his chest and covered it before sighing.
"Big adventure. Tons of fun. A beautiful heart. Faithful and strong. Sharing kindness is an easy feat. And magic makes it all complete."
Suddenly, a glow escaped from Discord's entire body. The light stopped moving when it hit the ground. Everyone was astonished by the sight.
"What is going on?" Starlight asked. "How is this possible?!"
Then, the light burst open and Discord appeared with a whole new appearance. He had an antler and a horn appearing on his head. He also had bat and feathered wings at his back and a snake tail at his... You know. "WOO-HOO!" he shouted excitedly as he soared through the sky. "YEEEAAAAH!"
As Discord flew over the town, he accidently came across a limo in the street. The car doors opened and two adults walked out. They saw Discord and gasped.
"Mom, dad!" Discord gasped nervously. "I... can explain?" Before anyone could say another word, Discord flew away back at the school. He hovered gently over the roof before landing. He held up the flash drive he saved and passed it to Ricky. Discord then turned to the frightened Starlight Glimmer.
"This.. This is impossible!" Starlight shouted. "You couldn't tap into the Equestrian magic!"
"What makes you think that?" Discord asked. "Yes, I had no guarantee that I'd survive, but my friend was in danger. I had nothing else on my mind except for how it might affect everyone else. But I wouldn't expect you to understand. You're a stubborn psychopath who prefers to have things her way! You're too much of a sadist to understand!"
"No!" Starlight shouted. "No, you're lying! I'm the one who was trying to save the school from falling apart! You're trying to provoke it! You did nothing good for this school and..."
Suddenly, Discord materialized a colorful cannon on wheels.
"What is that?" Starlight asked.
"Party cannon." Discord explained. He pulled the strong and entire party decorations blew out of the front. They hit Starlight and she fell backward off the school.
"Ooh." Pinkie Pie said admiring the weapon. "Wish I had one of those."
"Discord, are you nuts?" Sunset Shimmer asked. "You just killed Starlight!"
"I doubt that making her land in a bounce house would count as killing." Discord said.
Everyone looked over the ledge and saw Starlight groaning on top of a yellow bounce house covered with confetti and streamers and cake frosting. As soon as she rolled off the balloon, she saw something that horrified her. Iron Will stood there with a police squad behind him. She thought of looking for a way to escape, but everyone in the school ran out the front door confronting her. She grew incredibly angry to see Discord smiling with his extra animal features disappearing.
"Starlight Glimmer," Iron Will shouted, "You are under arrest for conspiracy, attempted murder, and disturbing the peace with your insanity. Boys, read her rights to her and take her away!"
"NO!" Starlight Glimmer shouted as the cops grabbed her arms and pulled her toward the car. "YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME! I'M CLASS PRESIDENT! YOU CAN'T LET DISCORD STAY IN THIS TOWN! HE'LL TEAR YOU ALL APART! HE'S THE REAL VILLAIN, NOT ME!
"HE'S A MANIPULATIVE JOKER WITH THE BRAIN OF A CHILD
WHOSE VERY ACTIONS ARE DANGEROUS AND WILD
I'M YOUR ONLY SOLUTION! I BRING JOY ALL AROUND
LET HIM STAY AND HE'LL RUN THIS SCHOOL TO THE GROUND
YOU WON'T EVEN LAST THE YEAR
DISCORD DOESN'T EVEN... BEEEEEEEELOOOOOOOONG...
HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE"
Those were the last words she shouted before the cops slammed the car door in her face. The police siren wailed and the car she was in drove away. Discord waved at the leaving car with an angry Starlight watching him.
"SEE YA', CRAZY!" Discord shouted.
