//------------------------------// // Epilogue // Story: Light and Darkness // by Evil Twilight //------------------------------//         Luna and Shining Armor appeared in front of Celestia’s chamber doors. They knew this wasn’t going to be easy and Shining Armor knew right off the back he wasn’t going to be the one telling Celestia.         Luna knocked on the door a couple of times and waited for her sister to come out.         They weren’t waiting for very long before Celestia opened her chamber doors and embraced Luna. “Luna! I’m so glad you’re okay! Were you able to save Twilight?” After inspecting Luna’s and Shining Armor’s eyes, she knew right off the back the answer wasn’t going to be good.         “We were able to save her,” Shining Armor said, Luna looked at him with a surprised look. “However it was at the cost of her life.”         Celestia’s jaw fell open. “Sh-she’s, dead?”         Luna looking down at the grown and sobbing nodded. “There was a dark magic connected to Twilight’s magic and the only way to liberate her from it, was to kill her. There was simply no other way.”         Celestia closed her eyes for a moment before opening them again. “I understand. You did what you had to do.”         Shining Armor looked up at Celestia. “What are we going to do now? It’s not really going to be that easy going out and saying that Twilight’s dead after all.”         Celestia nodded as she started to walk down beside Luna and Shining Armor. “I know Shining Armor, but to be honest, I’m not quite sure.” Celestia stepped out of her chamber as Luna and Shining Armor followed closely behind her.         They followed Celestia all the way out to the same balcony that over watches Ponyville and Cloudsdale. She sat there thinking silently to herself while Shining Armor and Luna stood behind her anxiously waiting for her to think of something.         “I think the only option we got is to just spill the beans,” Celestia finally admitted.         Luna and Shining Armor both looked at each other. “Are you sure? It may cause many riots sister.”         Celestia turned back around to face them. “Oh I know, but what other choice do we have, honestly?”         Shining Armor and Luna looked at each other again before looking back at Celestia. “I guess we really don’t have any other choice,” Shining Armor said as he wiped a tear from his eye.         “Exactly. I wish there was another way of doing this Shining Armor, but I’m afraid there really isn’t,” Celestia turned back around as she raised the sun for dawn.         Luna walked up next to her as she lowered the moon to make way for the sun.         “Are you sure there isn’t any other way?” Luna asked looking up at her sister.         Celestia didn’t break her stare at Ponyville. “I’m afraid not.”
