//------------------------------// // Do is Real // Story: Chaos is Displaced. The Tale of Loki! // by Mega NewWays97 //------------------------------// Loki pooped his head out the ground. "Ok so lets see where am I?" he found himself in sweet apple acres. "Oh come on I have been digging for hours what could be so important." He saw got an apple hit him on his head. he turned to see Applejack. "Really?" Loki turned to see Big macintosh. In a flash Loki was out the ground fixed and the apple in the bag. "Hey Loki why ya'll being in the ground?" Applejack asked. "Was searching for something but seeing as I always end up in the wrong place mind if I lend a hoof... or talon in this instance? I honestly could use some time not using my powers to fix all my messes plus." Loki picked an apple right off from the hard to get tree. "I can help get those hard to reach apples." Loki said. "Really, ya wanna help us out today? Ah would've thought that you'd be in yer store or with Twilight." "Well, I'm letting Trixie take care of the shop today. It's best to show her some level of trust. Plus, I don't have to spend every waking moment with Twilight. I'm not solely defined by my relationship." Loki replied as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Alright pardner, If ya really wanna help then Ah guess we could lend a... talon in this case." "Eeyup," Big Mac said as he stepped next to his sister. "Well now that that's settled let's get moving. We're wasting precious daylight here." Loki said as he motioned for them to get to work. "That's some good enthusiasm ya got there. :let's see how long you can keep it up," Applejack chuckled. "Oh, I wouldn't worry about that," Loki returned. The trio went to work However aas Applejack and even Big macintosh were getting tired Loki keep going he didn't even look tired. After the two decided to call it a day they saw Loki was still picking apples. "Loki ain't ya tired." Loki turned to her. "Not really I have near-limitless stamina as long as I don't use my magic." Loki answered. He hit a tree causing it to give its apples. "Also I seem to have a degree of Super Strength as well." Granny Smith came walking in. With some kinda drink. "Hey Applejack who that?" Granny smith asked. Rainbow dash came flying to the farm. "Hey Applejack have you seen Loki I need to ask him something." Rainbow Dash said with her saddlebags with her. Loki came slithering down a tree. "Yes what is if?" Loki asked. Rainbow Dash pulled out a book from the bags. "Can you make Daring Do real?" Loki fell over then stood back up. "Why? Thats a huge misuse of my powers not to mention useless because daring do already exists." Loki answered. Rainbow Dash was completely floored by that statement. Once she had recovered she rushed up to Loki's face. "Are you serious!? Daring Do, the greatest character in all of fiction is actually real?!" 'The greatest character in all of fiction. I think I need to show these ponies a few things.' "Well yeah, we can just go ask A.K Yearling herself if you really want to know." "Are you kidding, of course I wanna know!" "Applejack, Loki, come on, let's get the girls. We're going on a road trip!" Rainbow Dash cheered showing her inner fangirl. "Sounds like fun to me," Loki said. 'This sounds like a great chance to see Twilight's adorkable side,' "Are ya sure about this?" Applejack asked. "What if this A.K. Yearling don't wanna talk to us?" "Are you kidding?" Rainbow Dash asked with a laugh. "She's a celebrity, I'm sure she's dealt with curious fans all the time." Once they found Twilight and after applebloom came running back for Applejack, Loki thought it was because of something, Loki gave a snap of his talons and then found themselves in the middle of a forest. "Who goes there." Loki pulled back the bushes to revival A.K. Yearling herself. "Rainbow Dash may I introduce you to A.K. Yearling author of your book which is also believe it or not is real because she is Daring Do." Loki finished. The pegasus blinked at this. "Whats going on?" A.K. Yearling asked. Loki gave her a smile. "I give you Rainbow Dash element of Loyalty and your biggest fan, Oh I'm Loki as well." "What are you talking about?" A.K. Yearling said as she flinched a little as she heard Loki's accusation. "Daring Do is just a character I write about." "Don't you lie to me," Loki chuckled as he pointed a talon at Yearling. "I know who you really are, and that all of your adventures are real." "Do you have any proof of this?" Yearling asked. "Are you really sure about this, Loki," Twilight whispered to him. "Just watch this," He whispered back. Loki then turned back to Yearling, took a deep breath and blew it out in a fierce gale that ripped off Yearling's outfit, revealing that she was in fact, Daring Do. This revelation caused both Twilight and Rainbow Dash's jaw to drop. "She actually Daring Do?" Twilight asked turning to Loki. "How you know about this?" Twilight asked. Loki rolled his eyes. "Its one of those things I just know." Rainbow Dash shock soon gave way to her fanmarism. "Oh my gosh. Oh my Celestia your Daring Do... Loki you won't kidding." Rainbow Dash just realized something. "Are you writting another book can I be in it..." Loki removed her sound so they didn't have to listen to her. "Will that was a bad Idea." Loki said mentioning the mess he just created. "If you thought this was going to be a bad idea then why'd you do it?" Twilight asked. "Well, when she asked me to take her to meet the author, I knew you'd like to meet her too considering you're a fan of the series too." Loki said. "Aww, that's sweet of you," Twilight replied with a warm grin. "Hey, I just like making you happy," Loki said, returning the grin. "So," Daring Do said interrupting their little moment. "You all know my little secret, what do you want with me?" "Well, once Rainbow Dash calms down I guess she and Twilight have a few questions for you," Loki answered. "Well then you're wasting your time," Daring snorted, "I don't answer fan questions. I prefer to be alone." 'Ooh, don't touch that one,' Loki thought, 'she'll freeze you to the bone.' "Well I'm sure you can stop the sun from burning the world alive... oh wait you're not Celestia or me." Loki snapped his fingers as it was for a moment night then day. Twilight was about to ask then realized he was most likely talking about the future. "Well cya later." In a flash the three where gone. In the library Loki had a cloak. "Give it a few." After a while Loki teleported them again with Daring Do tied up and her arch rival about to burn the world alive. "Sup." Loki snapped his fingers. "Yes the world will...." The moon replaced the sun. "What just happened?" He asked. "I lowered the sun." Loki said. The weird thing moved back in fear. He knew about Discord from his travels. How can he fight a physical god? Thats basically suicide. "Ooh, I know that look," Loki said as he lounged in midair. "That's the, 'I'm about to fight something I'm woefully unprepared to deal with,' face," he finished with a cocksure grin. Daring Do's longtime adversary quaked quaked as he thought of a way out of the situation. "Umm, well I..." He stammered as he looked between his lackeys. "Oh don't you worry, I'm not going to kill you." The villain was about to let out a sigh of relief but Loki continued, "That is, unless you don't stop trying to burn up the world." The villain started to sweat bullets at that. "O-of course! I was only joking about my destroy the world plan. Boys, untie Daring Do." "What why?" One of them asked. "Do you really want to fight a god who can override the Alicorn Sisters for control over the sun and moon?" He asked them the two paled. They untied Daring Do and the villains ran with Loki with his arm out stretched taking the object back. "Well then." With a snap from his tail feathers the sun returned. "I'm going to get a lot of yelling from Celestia and Luna later but given what was going to happen." Loki finished with the object in hand. "Before you ask I'm keeping this like I do all other dangerous magical objects, because really fight a god?" Loki asked. "I suppose that's a good idea as any," Daring Do said as she popped a few joints. "I was probably going to give it to a museum, but it'll probably be safer with you," she admitted. "Hey, thanks for that, and as a form of thanks you don't have to include me in your next book," Loki replied with a grin. Rainbow Dash perked up at that and rushed in between Loki and Daring Do. "If he doesn't want to be in it, can I?" She asked with a hopeful grin. 'Really, you didn't do anything in this version of the events,' Loki thought with an internal chuckle. "Well, what do you say, would you do it as a favor for saving your life?" He asked. Daring shrugged and said, "Why not, I'll think of something to do with her character." "Nice, could you do one more thing for me?" Loki asked. "What is it?" "Would you let my marefriend and her friends ask you questions about your books?" Daring sighed a little at that and looked up at Loki. "Sure, why not. I do owe you quite a bit for saving me, and Equestria." A flash happened as another Element of Disharmony appeared and became active. "I have no idea what I even did to get that." Loki said confused by the whole thing. For Twilight this was kinda a low blow to her as she hadn't even made any progress with her own puzzle while Loki did his without him even knowing. "Hey Twilight it's not so bad." Loki said. 'Should I tell her about the keys? If I did she'll probably want to know what's inside the chest if I tell her its the rainbow power.... Damn It Tirek where are you!' Loki yelled into his mind. I guess you're right, I just wish I knew where to even begin with our puzzle," Twilight said with a slightly disappointed sigh. Loki just chuckled as he wrapped his paw around Twilight. "You're worrying too much about this. All you have to do is believe in your friends and yourself and things will work out, you'll see." "Thanks Loki, that actually helped a little. You always know how to calm me down," she said with a warm grin. "It's what I do," he returned with a shrug, "besides, I owe you for all the times you calm me down." "Well that is what I do. So, do you know what's inside the box?" She asked with an arched eyebrow. "I may or may not know what is in the box, but I'm not at liberty to discuss that." Twilight's brow furrowed slightly and asked, "Are you ever going to fill me in on these things?" "Come on Twilight, you know that's a bad idea. I don't want to risk doing any serious damage when it comes to the fabric of space-time." Twilight blinked at him. "Don't don't you and Discoed warp reality?" Twilight asked. Loki gave a laugh at that. "Well yes we do but we don't just cause paradoxes and rip apart the universe to the point it can't fix itself. Loki answered.
