//------------------------------// // Chapter 14 // Story: Resistance: Equestria // by Evowizard25 //------------------------------// She hid herself in the shadows of the apple trees. She needed to make sure he didn’t see her coming. She giggled. ‘He always loves it when I surprise him.’ She quickly sped through the orchard, looking for any sign of that big, red, loveable hulk. Unfortunately, she couldn’t find him anywhere. She sighed sadly. ‘Maybe he’s on break.’ She smiled hopefully and flew off. Her red bow fluttered against her left ear. This chipper pink, yellow maned, Pegasus, was none other than Cherry Twist; Local Big Mac expert and secret admirer. Of course, there was nothing secretive about her advances. She then decided to check the house. He usually spent his off time inside, relaxing. ‘But why can’t he relax with me? I’m far more relaxing than anything in that stuffy old house.’ She sighed. ‘What I wouldn’t give to be stuck in a stuffy old house with him.’ It didn’t take her long to get to the Apple’s home. The Pegasus, using her incredible stealth capabilities, opened the front door and entered. ‘He’s probably in his room.’ She blushed at the thought of catching him in bed. She quietly flew up the stairs and next to the door. She took a deep breath, before bursting inside. “HEY BIG MAC!” To her utmost disappointment, he wasn’t inside. She huffed. “Where could he be?” As she pondered, she heard the creaky sounds of a rocking chair. Her eyes widened. ‘Granny must know where he is.’ She flew out of the room and went downstairs. The old green mare seemed to be staring off into space, as she rocked back and forth. “Granny Smith.” The old mare didn’t answer. “Hey, Granny Smith.” “What’s that?” Granny came out of her daze and looked at her. “Oh, it’s Mac’s marefriend.” Cherry blushed at the comment. “How’re you doin’?” “Fine.” Cherry Twist told her. “I was wondering if you knew where Big Mac was.” “Can’t say that I do.” Granny Smith said. “Last time I saw him was…” She scratched her head. “I can’t remember. But I’m sure he’ll be back soon.” Cherry’s ears splayed back. “Oh, okay.” She walked away slowly. “Take care now.” Granny Smith said, immediately falling to sleep afterwards. The Pegasus mare really hoped to see him today. I mean, she had the whole day planned out. ‘Spend every second with Big Macintosh. It was so simple.’ Now, she didn’t know what to do. The object of her affection was missing. ‘Then do something about it.’ She told herself. Speaking of which, she spied Big Mac’s little sister, with a couple of friends. ‘She must know where he went. He tells her everything.’ She rushed over to the trio. “Hey Apple Bloom.” “Hey miss Twist.” Apple Bloom waved at her. “You can just call me Cherry.” Cherry Twist corrected her. “Okay, miss Cherry.” Apple Bloom beamed at her. Cherry rolled her eyes. “Anyways, I was wondering if you knew where your big brother went.” Apple Bloom scratched her head. “I think he said somethin’ about goin’ to Zecora’s.” “Zecora’s?” Cherry started to sweat. ‘Is he seeing another mare?’ “Yeah,” Scootaloo nodded her head enthusiastically. “She’s this cool zebra who lives in the Everfree forest. She makes all kind of potions and stuff.” “And you three know where she lives.” Cherry asked. Apple Bloom nodded. “Eyup. I go there all the time. She’s a friend of mine after all.” “Isn’t it a little too dangerous for three fillies to go on alone into the forest?” Cherry asked them. “Well, it’s not that bad in there.” Sweetie Belle put in. “I mean, as long as you stick to the path.” “Could you show me?” Cherry Twist pleaded. “Sure.” Apple Bloom smiled. “We were goin’ there anyways.” _______________________________________________________________ Redheart let out a relieved sigh. The day was nice and warm. The sun was high above the sky, letting its rays of glowing warmth hit the ponies underneath it. Yes, there was quite a bit of tree branches and other debris littering the ground, but they’d be cleaned up shortly. Right now, she had to worry about the patients that she was allowing to roam outside. Speaking of which, she looked over to their newest patient. The big lug had, just the other day, a large gaping wound in his leg, but when she cleaned it out earlier this morning, it was healed over. He still had a small limp from his recent wound, but it was remarkable. Yes, a few spells or zebra potions could do wonders, but the wound had healed on its own. ‘Well, he is quite unique, in more ways than one.’ Ravager kept roaming the ground, looking as if he were searching for something. She’d asked him about it, but all he said that ‘he was looking for humans to kill’. She shivered at the thought of bringing death to something else. She kept trying to tell him that it was just lightening and there weren’t any ‘humans’ around Ponyville, but he wouldn’t listen. Though, to lighten the mood, Loose Screw seemed to be enjoying herself. She was going around sniffing occasionally along the way. She was keeping close to Ravager, which Redheart thought was cute. ‘One could mistake them for friends.’ She thought. They did look like they were getting along quite nicely. Ravager would stop now and again and try to talk to her, whom she would respond with barking, and then he’d laugh and say something back. She found it endearing. Most ponies avoided the crazy mare. ‘Hopefully, we can really help her get out of her mindset one of these days.’ She trotted up to them. “So, how goes your walk?” “Fine, no humans.” Ravager told her. “Well, that’s good to hear.” Redheart smiled. “How’s Loose Screw doing?” “She fine too.” Ravager smiled down at the light blue mare. She smiled back at him and barked. “She weird though.” He then looked at Nurse Redheart. “Why she no speak?” Redheart frowned. “Well…we don’t know.” She looked over at the crazed mare, who had started to chase her own tail. “She just came in one day, out of the blue. Some local merchant was having trouble and she turned out to be the cause. So, they brought her in and we’ve been trying to help her ever since.” She sighed. “Though nothing’s worked.” “Maybe me help.” Ravager offered. “That would be very considerate of you.” Redheart smiled. He returned one. Dr. Pulse trotted up to them. “Is everything going alright over here?” “Yes, I’m just talking with Ravager over here.” Redheart pointed to the large stallion before them. “Ravager, this is Dr. Pulse.” “Pleasure to meet you.” Dr. Pulse inclined his head. “So, he supreme commander here?” Ravager asked her. Both the nurse and the doctor raised an eyebrow and looked at each other, before looking at him. “In a matter of speaking.” Dr. Pulse said. “My supreme commander not like you.” Ravager said. “He no like other supreme commanders.” “Well, I think I can handle him.” Dr. Pulse offered. “Me no think so.” Ravager told him, sounding dead serious. Just then, Nurse Tenderheart walked up, pushing Bon-Bon along, who was apparently stuck in a wheel chair. Her left foreleg, both hindlegs, and her chest, were all bandaged and put into a cast. The mare glared at Ravager. “Like, why is he here?” “He’s a patient.” Redheart explained. Before she could get in another word, Ravager walked up to the injured mare. “Little pony pay for doing me bad.” “Doing you bad?” Bon-Bon shook her good hoof angrily at him. “Because of you, I’m in this boring hospital, looking like a mummy.” “Me no know what mummy is but you not let me kill you.” Ravager snarled. “Why would I let you kill me?” Bon-Bon said. “Only a doofus would do that.” “I’m sorry.” Tenderheart apologized to Redheart and Dr. Pulse. “I didn’t know this would happen. I thought she looked like she need some time outside and to spend some time with some of the other patients.” “Not with this loser.” Bon-Bon stuck her nose up, in disgust. “I’d rather die my mane green.” Ravager snarled, glaring at her. “Me crush pony now.” Redheart put a hoof to his shoulder. “No, Ravager. We do not crush ponies.” “But she make me stop doing things I like.” Ravager told her. “Commander no let me kill afterwards “Cha, like, why is it my fault if that silly unicorn told you to stop being an idiot.” Bon-Bon said. “Me no idiot.” Ravager pounded his chest with a hoof. “Me best at doing what me does.” “And can’t you speak like a normal pony?” Bon-Bon sneered. “You sound like a brain dead Diamond Dog.” Ravager stared at her and tilted his head. “Me speak wrong?” “Look, how about we just go our separate ways.” Dr. Pulse said, getting in between everyone. “Nurse Tenderheart, take miss Bon-Bon back inside. I need to run a few tests on her.” Bon-Bon rolled her eyes. “Oh, great.” Tenderheart nodded, looking apologetic. “Sorry.” She said, quietly and quickly took the patient away. Dr. Pulse looked over at Redheart. “And you, make sure that mister Ravager is kept away from the other patients. Is that clear?” Redheart nodded. “Good. Oh and have a nice day.” He walked off. Redheart looked at Ravager. “You’re a real hooffull, you know that.” “Know what?” Ravager asked. Redheart facehooved and groaned. ________________________________________________________ Rarity and her three ‘prisoners’ walked up to the local Ponyville spa. “Come on, lady. Isn’t there anything else I can do?” Thunderlane once again pleaded. “Yes, and you can do it, after our little spa trip.” Rarity smiled mercilessly. Thunderlane whimpered in defeat. The two Deadeye brothers didn’t know what to think about it. They’d never heard of a spa before. Rarity insisted that they would love it, so they came without a word. Once they got to the door, Thunderlane planted his rear on the ground. “I am not going in there.” “Oh, yes you are.” Rarity glared at him. “No, I’m not.” “It’s what you get for breaking for trashing up my store.” Rarity told him. “But that wasn’t even my fault.” Thunderlane threw his hooves up into the air. He pointed to the brothers. “It was those two dolts that did it.” “Calling other ponies names won’t help your case.” Rarity stomped a hoof to the ground. “Now get inside.” Thunderlane crossed her forelegs. “Make me.” Just then, he was enveloped in a white magic field. “You are going in there now.” Rarity commanded, walking inside, with him floating above her. The twins followed her. Sitting at the desk were two mares, one was blue with a pink mane, while the other was pink with a blue mane. The Deadeye brothers eyes nearly bulged out of their skulls when they first saw them. “Oh, hello Rarity.” One of them, Aloe, said. “It is nice to see you.” She had an foreign accent. “Oh yes, it’s been nearly two weeks.” The other, Lotus, nodded. “That’s a bit unusual for you.” “Oh, there was some business I had to take care of.” Rarity said. “But now that I have to start all over, I thought why not take a breather before tackling it again. Oh, and I brought along a few new customers as well.” “Unwillingly.” Thunderlane said, under his breath. “Ah yes, and quite the handsome lot.” Aloe said, to which Lotus giggled. Both the Deadeye twins blushed, looking away. “Yeah, yeah, I’m gorgeous,” Thunderlane scoffed, walking forth. “Let’s just get this girly spa thing over and done with.” The spa twins huffed in indignation, while the two Deadeye twins glared at him. “Cupcake eater.” They growled. The four were then taken along into the spa. Rarity had to keep a close on Thunderlane during the whole process, for he kept trying to escape. To which, Rarity would simply throw him back with her magic. Which made both of their time their frustrating. The Deadeye twins, on the other hoof, were having a great time. They had no idea that such simple things were so pleasurable. As it were, their favorite part was the massage, which the spa twins were most happy to oblige. “My,” Lotus said, as she massaged Deadeye 1’s back. “You have a lot of tension stored up.” “Well, it’s only because I have to work with him.” D1 said, his eyes half lidded. “Yeah, I have to make up for you slack.” D2 responded, equally soothed by Aloe’s hooves. “Slack.” D1 growled. “I’ll have you know, I killed far more humans than you.” “Ha,” D2 snapped. “You couldn’t hit the broadside of a Stalker.” “You’re just jealous because I saved the commander.” D1 beamed with pride. “That doesn’t count.” D2 snarled. Sensing the growing hostility between the two, the spa twins immediately started massaging a few sweet spots along their wings. The two snipers’ wings shot out and their expressions were one of contentment, mixed with a slight blush. “You two shouldn’t be fighting.” Aloe said. “Yes, you are brothers.” Lotus put in. “You don’t see us fighting, now do you?” The twin snipers just nodded their head dumbly and made agreement noises. The sisters just giggled at their response. “So,” Aloe started. “What shall we call you two.” “Well,” Deadeye 2 said. “Our commander usually just calls us incompetent slackers and such.” “But he means well.” Deadeye 1 added in. “But Pinkie and Surprise call us after our rifles.” D2 told them. “He’s Deadeye 2 and I’m Deadeye 1.” D1 explained. “And that’s why I’m the superior.” “No, I’m superior.” D2 snarled. “Two is higher than one.” “Ah, but one comes first.” D1 smirked. “Why you little…” D2 started, before the spa twins started on another set of sweet spots. The same thing happened several more times, but the spa twins paid it no mind. After another hour, the four were finally done. Thunderlane was grumbling about the whole thing. The two Deadeye brothers were beaming with pride about their new appearance. Their coats were shiny and sleek, with their manes cut and spiffy, as well as their tales. The spa twins gave them a customary kiss on both cheeks, making the sniper duo blush. “Come back soon.” They waved them off. “Yeah,” The Deadeye pair sighed in bliss. “Come back soon.” Rarity giggled. “I think someponies have made quite the first impression.” “Pfft,” Thunderlane ruffled his mane, to get it back into shape. “As if.” Rarity shot him a glare. “Like I really expected you to understand romance or feelings.” “I understand those things just fine.” Thunderlane said. “I just don’t want to go about it so…girly. I’m not a mare, you know.” Rarity just harrumphed and waltzed on. “Come on boys, we have work to do.” Thunderlane followed with a slight glare, while the Deadeye twins followed, as if caught in a blissful daze. __________________________________________________________________ I own neither Resistance, or My Little Pony Friendship is Magic.
