In a grassy gold field, a yellow pegasus stallion was running, looking for someone. He had a jet black in the style of Soarin’s, his favorite Wonderbolt. His cutie mark was of a blue lightning bolt with two light blue streaks next to it. He also had bright red eyes.
“Zap” A memorizing mare’s voice called his name. He looked up and squinted. He could see a unicorn mare sitting on a stone pedestal. She was a spring green with a red and sky blue curly mane. She had a lily in her mane. It looked exactly like her cutie mark.
“Lily” Zap said with a smile. She looked at him with a smile and jumped toward him. He attempted to catch her, but fell as he caught her.
They lay in the grass, laughing and smiling at each other. They were just about to kiss, when Lily screamed.
“What’s wrong?” Zap asked her, until he looked at his teeth. He had one sharp tooth that was bigger than the rest. Actually, it was about the same size as one of his wings. All of a sudden, his ears turned donkey like, his wings turned into a bat wing and bird wing, his two front hooves turned into an eagle claw and bear paw, his back hooves turned into a dragon foot and deer hoof. He grew horns, his neck got longer, his tail was turning red and scaley, he was turning grey, and his head was becoming a strange shape. He had turned into a giant version of Discord. Lily screamed again, and Zap all of sudden let out an evil laugh and lightning struck behind him.
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Zap screamed as he woke up from his nightmare. He looked at his hooves and felt his face to make sure he didn’t really turn into Discord. He sighed in relief to know he was his normal pony self. He heard walkie-talkie static coming from a walkie-talkie on his nightstand. He grabbed it and started with a groggy “hello?” A voice was heard on the other side. “Zap where the hay are you?!” A worried stallion voice asked him.
“I just woke up Orangeball, why you ask?” Zap asked looking at his clock that read 6:15
“Because you’re late, that’s why!” Orangeball told him on the other side. Zap slammed his clock, and went to the right time, 7:50
“Oh Status's Mother!” Zap said quickly running around his room, grabbing his backpack and stuffing it with the stuff he needed. “Did you bring the outfit I asked you to bring?” Zap asked him, quickly.
“Yeah, but if my mom finds out, he’s gonna KILL me!” Orangeball said in a hurry.
“Well, don’t worry, I’ll get there as fast as I can!” He said, turning off the walkie-talkie.
“Morning son!” A voice said at Zap’s door. Standing with the door wide open was Discord, in a pink bath robe and bunny slippers. “Dad!” Zap whined back at him.
“Opps! Sorry, I forgot to knock.” Discord closed the door, knocked and then opened it wide open again. “Morning Son! I came to see if you have any dirty clothes your mom needs to…wash” Discord looked at the floor. It was covered in clothes that were only used for special occasions, but there was still a ton.
“There it is dad, help yourself.” Zap said still running around getting all the supplies he needed.
“Zap, we have been through this before. If you don’t clean up your messes, turn it into a chaotic opportunity.”
“I know, but I haven’t had the time! Besides, I’m late for school” Zap whined back at him.
“Well I can take you to school if you want!” Discord told Zap, grabbing a vacuum out of nowhere and started vacuuming up the clothes and other things on the floor.
“Um, that’s okay, I need the….exercise.” Zap said worriedly running around his room.
“Oh come on, Zap” Discord said, not noticing where he was pointing the vacuum. He actually started sucking up a poster of some famous guy. Zap screamed when he saw it. He grabbed it and pulled it out, only for the star’s head to be gone.
“Dad you ruined it!” Zap whined.
“Sorry. I like him better without a head, though. He looks familiar to me, who is he?” Discord asked him, looking at the poster carefully.
“It’s only Joey Maganagan, the coolest warrior and most famous singer in all Equestria AND Alenas.” Zap started putting the poster back on the wall. Joey was a green dragon holding a sword in the air. He was the size of a teenage dragon, but cuter and well associated with all creatures. No pony thought it weird for a dragon to be a celebrity, but ever since they teamed up with the neighboring world, Alenas, it was acceptable.
Discord was still in thought. “Sounds familiar, I feel that I met him a thousand years ago.”
Zap rolled his eyes. “He’s not that old, dad.”
Discord smiled. “Not as old as your old man for sure!” He tried to hug Zap, but he slipped out of his arms and flew out the front door, before his sisters or mom could see him.
Zap walked down the dirt road to Ponyville, and was just about to make it on the main road, until he heard a voice behind him that made him cringe.
“Zap hold on!” Discord yelled, still wearing the bath robe.
“You forgot your lunch. Oh, I left a little surprise in there too.” He said mischievously. Zap opened in cautiously, and he screamed when Angel hopped out. Some other stallions passed by and laughed at him. Zap groaned and started walking down Ponyville’s street, while his dad went back to their house.
“They’ve been laughing since I can’t remember” He started singing. “But they’re not gonna laugh anymore.” He started mimicking the bullies. ”No more Zappy the Geek, no more Loser of the Week”
He didn’t watch where he was going and slipped on some colt's marbles as he sang the last words, “Like before!” He went through the portal that took him to Alenas Central, the center of Alenas. He was going to school there, since it had a better education plan.
Jordyn, a 16-year old girl with brown hair and brown eyes who had a pair of white wings on her back was walking down the street, going to school holding old homework.
“No more algebra tests till September!” She threw them up in the air, and then Zap slammed into her, making them both fall on the ground. Zap was grabbed by the tail by two big black clawed fingers. He was turned to see the face of Status, the Death Master who was a giant black dragon with bright red eyes.
“No more looking at losers like him.” Status threw Zap, who landed hard against a building. A grown up Snips and Snails walked by.
“No more having to cheat” Snails sang, holding up his hoof with writing all over it. Snips grabbed Zap’s lunch.
“No more slop left to eat.”
The CMC started shooting old underwear in the air.
“No more gym, no more gym, no more gym, no more gym!” They sang, as one hit Zap in the face.
Diamond Tiara showed Silver Spoon all plans for summer.
“Gonna move to the mall!” Diamond noticed Joey Maganagan who went to Alenas High and smiled dreamingly. Instead of showing his interest in her, he came up to Jordyn.
“Gonna live in the pool.” Zap came in between Diamond and Joey, to Joey’s delight, not noticing who he was standing next to.
“Gonna talk to Lily and not feel like a fool!” Joey and Jordyn walked toward school together, and Diamond scowled and hit Zap in the arm.
All the other school kids were running around, cheering. “Cause after today, I ‘m gonna be cruisin’”
Zap joined along. “After today she’ll be mine!”
Some kids ran by Cheerilee and Big Mac. “After today my brains will be snoozing!” The kids sang.
Zap came up out of nowhere and scared Cheerilee.
“If I don’t faint I’ll be fine.” He sang, when Cheerilee fainted from the shock.
Two pink flamingo twins named Pinky and Pinki were holding two heavy textbooks.
“I’ve got forty more minutes of the Toy Economics.”
Two boys with orange and black hair and tiger tails named Ned and Ted, popped up and took their textbooks. “And down with those textbooks.”
Older Spike walked by, with the newest issue of The Power Ponies. “And up with the comics!”
Zap started running to school and stopped at Flora’s souvenir shack. “Just think of all the time I’ve been losing, finding the right thing to say,” Everyone else joined in, singing:
“But things will be going my way, after today.” Zap noticed Lily walking by, and he shyly smiled and waved, but she didn’t seem to notice.
“She looked right through me, and who could blame her” He sang, putting his head against the window to the shack. He looked in and saw the posters for all the movies Joey had been in, not noticing that his dad was in one.
“I need a new me, plus some positive proof that I’m not just a doof.”
The school bus passed by, holding a whole bunch of enthusiastic cheerleaders. “After today I’m gonna be cruisin’!” Two teenage changelings sat at the front, looking disgustingly at the cheerleaders.
“No more assemblies to cut, blech.”
They all got off the bus, singing: “After today my brains will be snoozing.”
A brown fat animatronic bear with a top hat, bow tie, red cheeks and a name tag saying “Fred Fazbear” sat on the driver’s seat of the bus, and pulled on the lever to close the doors.
“I’m gonna sit on my butt.”
Zap looked up at the clock. “I’ve got less than an hour, and when this has ended, I’ll either be famous” He slid down the railing and accidentally bumped into the new principal of the school, Twilight Sparkle. “Or you’ll be suspended!” She sang angrily. Some athletes were running on a track, jumping over hurdles, but were surprised to see Zap cut in front of them and jump over them doing a flip, impressing the coach. “Just think of all the time I’ve been losing, making a cheer I could say.” The students sang. Some girl athletes were doing jumping jacks, until one fell down.
Some students were just barely graduating school, and were throwing their hats in the air. “Gonna be on my own.”
A pegasus stallion flew off not noticing his mom waiting for a kiss, but noticed that he accidentally threw an unwanted book that slammed into her face. “Kiss the parents goodbye.”
Cheerleaders were practicing in the field with the band, with Cotton,a hyper crazy dressed rabbit threw her baton in the air, and caught it in her teeth.
“Gonna party from now till the end of July” Everyone sang together.
“Things will be going my way,” Zap flew to the top of the benches and sang along.
“After today!” Everyone sang, until the bell rang. Everyone looked up, including a couple who were kissing in the school yard. Zap looked at the clock and sighed.
“I wish that this was the day, after today.” He accidentally tripped on one of the benches and fell down the rest, but caught himself with his magic before he could hit the dirt ground.
Everyone watched and laughed at him, as he turned himself right side up, but he still fell to the ground. As he got up, he heard a sweet voice and two tender hooves help him up.
“Are you alright?” The girl said.
“Yeah I was just a…” He turned and saw who it was. It was Lily Bud, his all time crush. He stammered a bit, making Lily giggle. Zap started laughing with her, until he made a HUGE mistake. He did his dad’s worst and evil laugh by accident.
He gasped, and ran off, only looking back once when he hit a trash can. Lily stood there, and watched him run off curiously. She left when the bell rung again.
