Fluttershy had a great little dinner with Twilight and thanked her for the meal before heading to the market. Fluttershy is humming a merry little tune to herself, as she carried the big bag of food for her animal friends.
Meanwhile Spike was walking along Ponyville on his merry way. The mask was making him feel more confident and more charming than his meekly normal self. "Now where would she be?" He said. Spike had been in an alley between several buildings when he sees the yellow furred pink maned pony walking by.
His eyes literally pop out of sockets while steam flies out of his ear frills. "There you are my precious." He cracked his knuckles and rushed quickly over to Fluttershy with lighting speed. "Hello my sweet." He said with a smirk. She jumps into the air with a loud 'EEEEEK' then comes flapping down. "Sp...spike? Is that you?"
"Why yes my precious it is. But I'm new and improved. "He said wiggled his eyebrows at her.
The eyebrows only increase the level of discomfort the shy pony feels. "What what happened to you?" She looks at at the now darker colored scales, the larger and more pointy spikes, the increase in body height and not to mention..."Your face it so green?"
He wraps a arm around her and strokes her cheek lightly with his other claw. "It doesn't matter my sweet. All that matters is how I feel about you. "He says.
But before he could even blink Fluttershy was running off as fast as her hoofs could carry her, with the added speed of her wings. Her uncomfortable level had just gone up into the red zone.
"WAIT MY SWEET!!!" He says as she forgot her animals food. He shrugs and picks up the heavy bag like it was ape bible and rushed after her. "I love a chase"
Fluttershy flees into the safety of her house and faster then perhaps even rainbow dash herself she slammed the door shut and locked the key lock, the deadbolt, the chain latch, and the floor bolt. And while Angel sat back and watched Fluttershy began moving furniture in front of the door bit by bit and shut the blinds to the window. When that was done she wiped the sweat from her brow. "Phew."
"Hello my precious sweet." Says Spike from behind her. Fluttershy's eyes widen and then slowly turns around. Looks at Spike then back at the sealed door, then back at Spike.
"I came down the chimney like Santa Hooves. " Smiles with pride. "Oh and you dropped this. "He holds up the bag of food then drops onto the floor, which Angel Bunny happened to be standing, getting crushed the bag.
"Okay...spike...clearly there is something wrong with you...we need to call twilight." She thinks for a moment."or maybe the royal canterlot guard."
"Oh I'm completely fine. I'm better than I've ever felt." He take a few steps toward her.
Fluttershy puts distance between them."Umm I don't mean to be impolite but you are invading my personal space"
"Oh am I. Forgive me my dear." He steps back. "Now where were we?" He says with a slick grin.
"What happened to you?" She asks with a hint of fear in her voice.
"I got a makeover. Help from a little friend. " He take a step forward only to get stopped by several birds flying in front of him. "Greetings comrades"he exclaims.
The birds stare at Spike for a moment then fly and hide inside fluttershy's mane. "Spike, I think whatever you did to yourself you need to undo. Did you go reading through one of twilights spell books?"
"No spells, just the power of love."he pulls roses from out of no where and offers them to her. "For you my sweet."
"umm uh not that I am not flattered spike but I thought you had a crush on Rarity?" She asked puzzled.
"Oh she's a thing of the past my dear." He steps closer to her then suddenly Fluttershy's animals rush him to the ground. Angel helps with a bunny karate kick to spike's green face. The birds and other animals start grabbing his rubber green face and start pulling. It start to fade from green to brown wood. "hey hey can't we talk this over?!" He yells in pain as the mask starts to pull off his face.
"Spike I don't know what is wrong with you but I am certain that this green face is the culprit" She aids her friends and uses her teeth to help tug. A green twister forms around his body as the mask unwraps around his head, his body returning to normal.
Fluttershy keeps pulling and thinks "What is this thing?"
The mask pops off Spike's face as the twister fades and the mask falls to the floor with a 'thunk'. Spike then pass out from exhaustion.
Fluttershy helps put spike on the couch to rest and then turns her attention to the mask, which Angel sniffs and then hops away "Oh my...whatever could this thing be?" She picks it up and sees that it is just a normal wooden face mask. She sets it on the table, and walks over to Spike to check on him.
"Thank goodness he is back to normal...well at least physically"
She realizes Twilight maybe wondering where he is at. She starts to move furniture away from the door and unlocks it , then picks Spike up to bring him home. As she trots out the door, the mask shimmers.
Twilight paces the library wondering where Spike could be at this time of night. "He's has never done this. Was it something I said?" There is a knocking at her door. She teleports to the door and uses her magic to swing it open almost yanking it off it hinges. "Where is he!?" She yells. She then notices it is Fluttershy holding Spike.
"umm right here...sorry." she says sheepishly
"Oh Spike your okay." She grabs Spike from Fluttershy and hugs him. "Thank you Fluttershy. "
"Um no problem...uhh Twilight was Spike acting unusual earlier today?"
"No, he seemed fine when I left earlier. Why? Did something happen?" Twilight asks with a raised brow.
"Um well.." ponders whether or not to tell twilight what happened.
She looks at Fluttershy waiting for an answer, when Spike comes too. "Uh....what happened?" Both mares rush over to the baby dragon.
"Uh...what are you girls staring at me for?"
"umm Spike, do you remember anything?" Fluttershy asks him.
"All I remeber is star gazing then I think I went to bed." He said, not remembering anything from wearing the mask.
"Well uh...sorry...but I have to go feed my animals...Twilight, spike, good day." She flies off in a hurry.
"Can I go back to sleep now Twilight?" Spike asks. "Sure Spike goodnight." She hugs him then let's him walk upstairs.
Meanwhile Fluttershy gets home and feeds her animals dinner then sits on her couch staring at the mask on her table. The first she had noticed that every animals in her home was steering clear of the mask. Which did not seem like anything special. Just some dirty piece of green/brown wood.
She stares at the mask longer when suddenly somepony knocks on her door. "Fluttershy open up, it's me Dash."
Fluttershy gets up off the couch, bumps into the table, knocking the mask onto the floor. She goes over and opens up the door. "hello Rainbow, what brings you here" she asks.
"Fluttershy did you forget, Pinkie is throwing a all nighter party at AJ's place. Their pulling out the good cider. " Rainbow Dash ssays
"Oh right, sorry I was...preoccupied with something."
"Well come one and hurry up." She exclaims as she flies off with a zoom.
"Right behind you Rainbow." Says Flutteshy.
She then shuts the door to get ready to go and flys off after Rainbow, She then remebers she forgot to feed angel.
Fluttershy flys back with great speed to her home and rushes into the kitchen, to Angel tapping his foot. "Oh Angel bunny, I am so sorry." She fills Angels bowl with carrots and apple slices.
Angel gives her a small glare but shrugs then starts eating. Fluttershy then gets ready to walk out when she hears a shimmer.
Fluttershy turns attention to the floor where the mask had fallen. It is laying face down on the floor from where she bumped into the table. She walks back over it it. She stares down at the mask. Her muzzle gets close to the mask, then suddenly the mask jumps onto her face with a wet slap
"SWEET CELESTIA!"
The mask twist and tugs on her face and begins to engulf her head and mane. The tendrils slither down her long mane pulling into the back of her head.
"Somepony...helllllllp!" She screams
The mask muffles her screams as it finishes tugging at her mane encasing her while head. It squeezes her head like rubber and connects to her eyes and mouth. It then tights on her head making her groan then she becomes a yellow twister . She spins around her living knocking over things, books go flying. Her animals hide in fear of what was happening to their caretaker. The twister suddenly comes to a halt.
Fluttershy coat is now a darker yellow. Her cutie mark has morphed into replica of the mask in its wooden state. Her mane Ian's tail are a lot shorter and now a brown color. He face in now bright green with a rubber feel to it. "Now that is what I call a ssssssmokin entrance. " she says with a grin and with a confidence she never had before.
Fluttershy then pulled some dark shades out from nowhere and put them over her eyes* "Check it out now ya'll mama is ready to get down."
She remeber the party then she lunges into flight, right through her window. "Leroooooooy jerkins!!!" She exclaims as she flies into the night.
