As Celestia raises the sun to indicate the next day has arrived, the brightness that gleamed through the windows shined off the crystallized walls showing off a purple reflective glow the radiated the whole room. This light spectrum was soon diminished as an Aqua aura of magic closed the curtains. This magic came from Sunset Shimmer who returned to her peaceful slumber cuddling with Twilight Sparkle. The sun’s light was beaming straight through the curtains but was minimal to where it wouldn't wake anyone else.
The birds began to chirp happily and the people of Ponyville went to their rightful jobs. The whole town of Ponyville was at a buzz and filled with life.
The young princess officially awoke first, even though Sunset woke up first Twilight was ready to start her day unlike Sunset. Twilight’s eyes blinked for a bit. She didn’t notice the position her and Sunset were in until she decided to move. When she attempted to move she was being pinned by the Yellow-Orange mare. Twilight blushed violently as it showed as bright as day on her face. She then smiled and muzzled Sunset’s neck with much affection. This caused Sunset to shift slightly but wouldn’t wake; however, she did release Twilight from her grip.
Before leaving her own bed Twilight pecked Sunset on the same cheek she previously kissed the last time. When Twilight left her room she was greeted by Spike who was waiting in front of the door. He has a letter in his claws which then he handled to Twilight.
“This letter came in a few minutes ago, Celestia wants to see you. I don’t what for but it didn’t seem all that important. So I waited for you to be done with your marefriend in there.” Spike stated walking away.
Twilight held up an all knowing annoyed expression. “She’s not my marefriend Spike and if the letter is from Princess Celestia then it must be important.” Twilight read the letter over in her mind. ‘It’s just a meet?’ Twilight though finishing the letter and making it disappear with her magic.
The beginning of Twilight’s day went off with a normal start. Eat breakfast, do any royal duties or additional things of importance and freshen up. After doing all of this she looked at the clock 10:02am it read. Twilight levitated a saddlebag on her and left to go to Canterlot.
-1 Hour Later-
The castle that the Two Royal Sisters of Equestria currently resided in showed off a golden-white reflection off the sun’s beams of light. The guards were standing tall and proud but were no threat to Twilight as she went through. She was greeted by one guard saying: “Good Morning Princess Twilight!” he saluted her off and return to his faced to position of the front doors of the castle. On the inside Twilight made her way to the throne room where Celestia would most likely be. To her dismay Celestia was nowhere to be found in the throne room.
Twilight had to stop and think. ‘If I were Celestia where would I be in the morning?’
“Maybe you should look behind you Princess Twilight.” A voice behind Twilight said with a motherly tone that seemed at too familiar for the Princess.
Twilight looked behind her and saw that Celestia had just raised the sun so she wouldn’t be in the throne room. Twilight hugged the other princess with a friendly embrace. “It’s good to see you Twilight.”
“So Princess any particular reason why you wanted to see me?” Twilight asked.
“Yes, a little birdie told me that someone has come back to Equestria without my knowledge.” Celestia stated which made Twilight as solid as a rock with both nervousness and fear.
‘Oh no Sunset’s not ready to face Celestia and she already knows I need to stall her as much as I can.’ Twilight thought as she looked at the other princess in the room.
“Well Princess I don’t know what you are talking about as I have no knowledge of someone returning.” Twilight lied. Celestia stared at her with a facial expression that read: ‘I’ve lived on this planet for over 1000 years lying will only raise my suspicion.’
“I see… So you don’t mind if I come back with you to check if my suspicion is incorrect?” Celestia asked standing tall and intimating to a smaller pony, but to Twilight it was a game of chance for her to discover Sunset Shimmer to return back to Equestria so she took the odds in her hooves.
“Sure Princess Celestia you may come with me to my castle to find out if your theory is correct.” Twilight laughed nervously lying to the Princess could very much be the worst thing she could do but she must protect Sunset from her until she’s ready to face Celestia.
Before Twilight could even step outside the throne room she and Celestia was teleported to Twilight’s Castle Throne Room. Twilight felt the color drain from her very body. She didn’t expect her to really do this. Celestia began her search around Twilight’s castle. As she did spike came out and saw this and walked over to Twilight and motioned her to lower her head so he may whisper something to her.
Twilight leaned in, “What is Princess Celestia doing here?” Spike asked. Not that he cared but it was spontaneous on his point of view.
“She’s looking for ‘someone’ she suspects that has returned to Equestria.” Twilight said as both the mare and drake watch Celestia walk into the hallway that led to Twilight’s bedroom. Spike grabbed his chin in questioning thought.
“The only person to arrive here with that type of pretense is Sunset.” Spike concluded. He nudged Twilight to pursue Celestia. “You might want to chase her down before she finds Sunset. She only knows what she will do to her if she finds Sunset.” With that Twilight chased after Celestia.
Sunset Shimmer began to stir from her sleeping state. A well needed rest is what made her full of energy and ready to hang out with
Twilight for today. She can hear hoovfsteps outside the door. ‘Hm, maybe Twilight just left.’ Sunset thought as she began to get out from Twilight’s bed. As soon as Sunset open the door she was greeted by Princess Celestia who had her hoof extended to open the door.
No emotion… Nothing showed as the two stared down at each other with nothing but silence. Celestia tell look to Twilight who was too late on arrival.
“Twilight how dare you-“ Celestia began.
“Twilight had nothing to do with this she was only protecting me. Princess Celestia I wanted to return back to Equestria but I told her that when I’m ready to see you I’ll go see you but now it seems that I have no choice.” Sunset stated, Celestia looked in Twilight’s direction and she nodded in agreement with Sunset’s speech. “So don’t punish her for only protecting me I beg for your mercy on her Princess Celestia.” Sunset bowed in fear for the worst of Twilight.
Celestia looked down at Sunset. A smile came across her face as she raised Sunset’s chin with her hoof. “I’m not mad.” Is all Celestia said.
Twilight walked to Sunset’s side who was standing still waiting for Celestia to speak.
“I’m not mad at anyone. I only wish that Sunset would've let me know about her intentions. I’m actually very glad that she came back to Equestria. As a Mother I would be showing complete emotion but as time would tell you if you met his is that I never so complete emotion.”
Twilight and Sunset rose up in surprise. “Mother?!”
