Chapter 1 (Edited by: Realm on 5/17/15)

Going through the portal was still the strangest thing Sunset had ever felt. The way her skin and bones contorted to match that of a unicorn. The way her insides churned at the unnatural shift in body structure brought a considerable amount of discomfort with it. However, the feeling was short lived. As the transformation met its end, she felt herself being hurled through the portal, with more ferocity than before.

The sharp increase in speed propelled her through the remainder of the interdimensional rift. Prompting her to emerge on the other side, with a bit more ‘oomph’ than she would have prefered. Causing her to be flung into a nearby bookshelf, making most of the books and the shelf itself tumble onto her.

‘Ugh. My head.’ Sunset thought.

“Sunset… Sunset are you okay?”

Sunset slowly opened her eyes. Her head was pounding. She looked up to find her friend and a small purple dragon. “Twilight?” she muttered, trying her hardest to ignore the pain in her head.

"You took a pretty hard hit on the head." Twilight grabbed Sunset's front hooves, helping her up. She then lead her tottering friend into a nearby bedroom, where she laid her down to rest her head.

Sitting next to the bed, Twilight placed her hoof on Sunset’s head, and applied a light amount of pressure. She winced. The pain was getting a bit more difficult to ignore at this point, but having Twilight there made it a bit easier to ignore.

“You have a minor concussion Sunset. Its nothing major, but I wouldn’t recommend using any magic until it’s gone.” She took her hoof off her head. “That was some crash.

What did you do, throw yourself into the portal?”

“No, I didn’t.”

Sunset began to rise from the bed, but Twilight lightly pushed her back down. “You're concussion should take a few hours to clear up. Try and get some sleep until then.”

Sunset let out a sigh, “Fine Twilight, you win.” She shifted in bed to face away from Twilight.

Twilight giggled a bit. Then Sunset felt something she didn’t expect. Twilight lightly kissing her cheek.

“Sweet dreams Sunset Shimmer…” Twilight said in her ear. She then left the room, closing the door behind her. Sunset’s mind was still processing what had just happened.

‘Twilight just kissed me on the cheek’ she kept that sentence in her mind, thinking it over a bit. A heavy blush spread across her face.

Spike was standing in the hall, not to far away from where Sunset was sleeping.

“Enjoy your little “moment” with Sunset?”

“Heh, heh. What do you mean Spike?” A bead of sweat trickled down her forehead.

“I saw you kiss her.”

“It was nothing Spike. Just a friendly gesture.” Twilight suddenly found her hooves very interesting.

“Don’t try and play dumb with me Twilight. Do you seriously think I don’t know when you're lying?”

“Okay Spike. I might like her, a little bit.” Twilight said,

“I can see where this is going. But if I were you, I would tell her as soon as possible. You only have 6 weeks together until she goes back. Summer don’t last long Twilight.” Spike left the room

Spike was right. Summer doesn’t last long at all, and Twilight would have to use all the time she has to try and win Sunsets heart. Twilight walked back to the room where Sunset was resting. She found her sprawled out on the bed. The sheets were on the floor and the pillow was in her arms, and her snoring could be heard from the hallway. Twilight sat down next to Sunset and began stroking her mane softly as to not wake her.

‘She’s so perfect…’ She thought. ‘Someday you’ll be mine Sunset Shimmer.’
